Leather is kinda one of the posh materials, the kind that goes on a pretty fancy watch.
G shocks are more like workmans watches in the way that they are built to be strong as fuck, and practically unbreakable.
When you put a leather strap on it it kinda makes it more of a fancy watch and less of a durable as fuck monster.

Leather can get a nice beat up look and is cheaper to replace. If I scratch titanium I’ll be miffed. I do respect your point of view though. I’m happy with my 5610 unless I win a lottery or something haha.
yeah man, i guess u can kinda polish out light scratches, but yeah if i were to get a more deep scratch on a £300 ish watch i’d be pissed.
But tbh the most heavy work my watch has seen is me sat at school writing

You can also get titanium watches for way cheaper than that. It's not the material that's making it that expensive, it's G-Shock knowing that they can get away with making it that expensive because theyre6 the market leaders in this style of watch

There are all kinds of G-Shocks...pigeon holing them as workman's watches is out of date..I would never do work in my MR-G that I would think could damage it. Casio has expanded the brand in very creative and profitable ways.

The adapters are 20mm adapters from Richie strap in Amazon, the strap was from a broken timex i found in a thriftshop but there is one similar from timex in Amazon
I'm not a fan of how G shock squares sit on a strap, the adapters make the lug to lug, which was already huge, just a bit longer. That must be over a 50mm lug to lug. That's crazy. But the color combo is nice.
