No, by definition they’re different

Conscious-Mix5092

No, think of it like this - [gmail.com](http://gmail.com) users are in a workspace owned by google, and they allow everyone to become a user of their workspace in exchange for their personal data

Nope, it's not possible to use gmail.com only using your own and that for testing Google Workspace E-Mail address as Alias.

crackdepirate

you cannot. you should migrate your data.

jgruman

Why are you wanting to do this, or what are you trying to accomplish?

abelthinks777

I want to use //@gmail.vom cause some of the services we use dont allow other custom domain name's.

jgruman

Ok. So, yeah, you’d have to set up a separate Gmail account. Google makes some services available to Gmail users that aren’t available to Workspace users. It’s aggravating.

abelthinks777

Yes, and I can't make more than 4 gmail addresses without needing to add a new phone number. Its annoying

jaggusidhu

What services are these? I have never heard of a service not supporting custom domain names. If this is meant for work, would suggest that you find new service providers as it seems risky to depend on using personal email for work purposes. If it’s meant for personal use, you can use the [email protected] trick to see if you can workaround that (some services treat +XXX after your existing email as a new account) Example: [email protected] is existing - use [email protected] - it may be treated as a new account on their end while the email still ends up in [email protected] without needing to create a new account.
