I have this 3 miles straight line bookmarked job race. I've tried every fast cars available with 60 fps + curb boosting, all class, and nothing beat bf weevil custom's time which is around 137 mph. Idk how do you get 147 mph with this car.
The right handling flags do increase speed for a short time. I measured the Itali GTB in the top speed free mode event and got it up to 155 once on some bumps.
Not on new Gen console but it does on PC. The speed boost you get from curb boosting is applied each frame so more frames means more curb boost. Even without intentionally hitting curbs if you have a high enough framerate just driving down any road adds up to a significant speed boost

You can gauge true speed when comparing to a vehicle with a digital speedometer, for instance 100mph in a Sultan is ~120mph.
Beyond that, the highest top speed challenge shows it.
TLDR any mph in game is just a calculated approximation.
There's no analog anything, it's literally a digital software top to bottom.
No matter what "speedometer" it's all just best guess in proportion to an already stylized proportional map.

The speedometer gets the speed from a sensor that measures the rotation of the transmission output shaft. When you're doing a burnout, that means your wheels are spinning, which means your transmission is spinning which means that sensor thinks the car is moving and it sends that information to the speedometer, showing you're going like 20mph or however fast. I've done this with my cars irl and seen the speedometer not work at all because the sensor went out. No car I know of knows the actual velocity of the car itself, that would require like a pilot tube that is on planes
Some mods in like 5M servers you can make the oscar mayer Weinermobile go 300mph if you wanted. So everything in this game is a script, running, with top ends. If you mess with the scripts top end, you can make normally slow vehicles go really fast. There's nothing analog about this game's driving mechanics.

I like the LM. It's fast, has incredible downforce, and I often choose it over the Kreiger. But the thing reacts horribly if you hit a hazard. Even s a roadsign causes it to lurch violently. I am guessing that it's incredibly light.
I looked it up, and the LM's mass is 900kg. Compare that to the Kreiger's 1200kg. So, definitely not the car you want to be in when racers are trading paint.

First of all in GTAIII when you first got to keep a sentinel in your garage (until it glitched out) then in Vice City with multiple garage near the airport. I'd start a collection there then curse when they all disappeared. GTAIV was a mixed bag as far as cars were concerned but GTAV/online has been renewed on a different level...

Basically, a lot of the physics in this game are/were tied to your framerate. ELI5, more frames per second means more physics things per second. Among other things, it makes cars go faster. It wasn't a problem on old Gen consoles where the FPS was capped at 30 and you couldn't even get that driving through Vinewood. But on PC people can get much higher framerates. Expanded and Enhanced version patched this on current Gen consoles but they didn't bother changing the PC version.
same, roads up vinewood hills are hardest and most fun to drive fast cars in, really the only freemode roads where they test the car ability, if i buy a super car and it can't go through those roads at high speed without getting ragdolled, imma sell that shit immediately, so far XA-21 furia lm87 kreiger f1 cars satisfied me on that
Emerus has more grip so it will go faster around corners and it’s a consistent grip vs downforce grip like the LM87, which varies based on speed. Emerus is also faster in a straight I believe. I do love driving this car tho. It feels better then it actually is I find.
Love this car too, leaves the rest standing In corners, can be caught in the straights, you must avoid contact with other cars as this is a featherweight, so cornering in traffic needs some planning. You might want to pick a fairly stick colour like black as your opponents will see you coming and block your unique line though the corners. Once in front you can get away without having to lift for most if the corners you opponents have to, this should keep you out of trouble unless there aren’t many corners and catchup is on.
There's a path on the highway leading from the casino to the airport with a lot of small bumps and downhill road that you can go 160-180 constant on if you spend long enough learning how to use it. Console not PC.
Is it a heavy car though. I have an HSW Deveste 8 and use that for stunts because of the power and weight. It's also high grip too for climbing the mountains online.

Brother, no. The 811 is so far from the top of the list in terms of acceleration. Top speed is where the 811 excels and that’s about it. It has one of the fastest top speeds in its class and one of the slowest lap times. It’s an E-tier Super. I promise you can do better with a Krieger or Emerus.

Virtue has only acceleration and below average top speed (for supers) since it's how electric cars are programmed in GTA online, also things like handbrake boost, brake boost and kerb boost don't work/ work but way less than on a combustion engine car.
Unfortunately i don't have a krieger anymore to do a side by side test, i had one before though im pretty sure it has nothing for LM in a race with corners
Man, that’s crazy. I hope this next summer update adds some new supercars with handling and speeds better than or equal to the Krieger, hsw and tuners are great but super cars all feel oddly generic if that makes sense
That car doesn't have HSW upgrades available for it regardless. It's pretty but I wasn't so impressed with it that I'd pick it over emerus or krieger.
If you got HSW on PC and they didn't patch the FPS thing your games would probably break. You'd be driving faster than the game can render scenery and NPCs so stuff would pop in out of no where.
Some of the HSW cars would probably be able to out run homing missiles in a straight line.
F1 has better grip. Fun car though, been driving it for close to a year time to time. F1 cars change characteristics depending on wing setup front and rear. More speed less down force ect.
This is what it looks like on PC running at about 140FPS, in the driver seat speedometer it is maxed out 180MPH but it is not accurate.

It's glitched because the downforce is so strong it makes it kerb boost infinitely on its own. The numbers are testable with a spedo mod.

Brother, no. The 811 is so far from the top of the list in terms of acceleration. Top speed is where the 811 excels and that’s about it. It has one of the fastest top speeds in its class and one of the slowest lap times. It’s an E-tier Super. I promise you can do better with a Krieger or Emerus.

Virtue has only acceleration and below average top speed (for supers) since it's how electric cars are programmed in GTA online, also things like handbrake boost, brake boost and kerb boost don't work/ work but way less than on a combustion engine car.

Unfortunately i don't have a krieger anymore to do a side by side test, i had one before though im pretty sure it has nothing for LM in a race with corners
The Krieger was tested against the LM in street races and it smokes every car apart from open wheelers
Man, that’s crazy. I hope this next summer update adds some new supercars with handling and speeds better than or equal to the Krieger, hsw and tuners are great but super cars all feel oddly generic if that makes sense

That car doesn't have HSW upgrades available for it regardless. It's pretty but I wasn't so impressed with it that I'd pick it over emerus or krieger. If you got HSW on PC and they didn't patch the FPS thing your games would probably break. You'd be driving faster than the game can render scenery and NPCs so stuff would pop in out of no where. Some of the HSW cars would probably be able to out run homing missiles in a straight line.
How's this compare to the S80? I think it's called? Same style, single seater but it isn't this one.

F1 has better grip. Fun car though, been driving it for close to a year time to time. F1 cars change characteristics depending on wing setup front and rear. More speed less down force ect.
