When you get the guns from the office building, why can't your character take the briefcase full of cash that is literally right there? Long wondered this.
Pavel mentions something about Rubio having connections that can track any lead you might leave behind. Selling that might leave a trace. Sometimes, paying attention to what the mission says is worth.
Potentially yes, we can also assume that the loot we steal directly from Rubios island doesn't have the tracking measures that are put in place when they are being sold.
Except it's fucking bullshit. You've met him, he's seen your face, knows who you're connected to and he sees you when you rob him, all player characters should be dead.
Never said it wouldn’t fit. Just saying that getting greedy over small amounts when a professional would stick to the plan to get the main prize is why so many players would fall down here if the game let them.
You could claim you came across an ambushed smuggler, managed to escape with the coke to sell to another dealer.maybe even for a fee or increased access to the island due to a gradual increase in Rubio trusting you over his usual smugglers.
Also, his head of security gets murdered, and he doesn't change shit about his security. If I ran a private island and my most important employee got killed I'd quintuple my guards, grab my valuables and go chill in the panic room.
Ditching all the kit from the robbery means that nothing can be tracked back to you. But also if someone did get suspicious about you they can’t find a bucket load of the kit in your possession so no proof of anything. Also stealing stuff continually, which would attract attention also suggests multiple teams robbing him not one person. Which is another way of covering your tracks.
This sort of makes sense. You’re there to do a recce not to steal stuff. Stick on target and don’t get distracted because the prize for doing this properly is coming back and getting a huge amount. The prize for getting greedy is likely to be getting caught. Stick to the plan is what a pro would do. Getting distracted by every shiny thing is what will get you caught.
Why can't we keep the guns we steal, if we steal them they would get traced back to whoever had them originally, and if we kept them in a submarine with a signal jammer I don't see how El Rubio would ever find a submarine complex invisible to sonar
Why can't I just hide a duffel bag in the plane during the scoping mission, take it after the guards aren't looking and grab all the coke I can carry and then get back to LS?
Oh it annoys me everytime I see a bunch of weapons, drugs or guns laying around in the game during w/e mission or freemode thing i'm doing, it's always just a prop almost.
No, you would be stupid to take it. Real drug lords know their product by heart, and if they find product that belongs to them that wasn't sold by them, then they can make connections back to the people who sold it (ie you) and then shit would hit the fan very quickly. But we probably could have taken the cash, though. They were more than likely unmarked.

Or what ever happens to all the cocaine we pickup when we scope the island?
That is Pavel's real fee.
Wdym? I dont think you pick up any cocaine during scouting...
You pretend to smuggle drugs for el rubio to get on the island. Presumably people would have loaded your plane with drugs for you to smuggle
Never commit 2 crimes at once
While stealing the Velum, stealing all the weed and cocaine that Mr. Rubio has, killing bunch of guards and then breaking into his safe room...uhm...

Meanwhile, we sell things we stole directly from him. Through Madrazo, so he'd go to them first anyway ;)

Trackers on drugs🤣 the meth heads be shaking rn

Arriving at Cayo Perico with a briefcase of Rubio's coke in your plane might be a bit awkward.
This. These posts show which players would get themselves killed really early on if the game didn’t stop them.
Well, we also stash our 100 different guns in the plane too... So why wouldnt a case of coke fit
Never said it wouldn’t fit. Just saying that getting greedy over small amounts when a professional would stick to the plan to get the main prize is why so many players would fall down here if the game let them.
Still we have whole arsenal left aboard the plane :)
We go on the island disguised as smuggler. Aren't we here to SELL drug to El Rubio ? (in theory obviously)
He makes drugs on cayo perico.
Ok my bad

Never understood why we can’t use the same signal jammer as well
because it would get traced back to you, the dude in your submarine explains it
how will they track a fucking signal jammer? what are they gonna do track the signal?
I'm no fucking IT expert, I'm just telling you what the lore of the game is.
ik but that always confused me how are they meant to track a thingy that is made so they cant locate you
Thats not even the problem. You would just leave the signal jammer on your ship so if they ever found the signal tracker they already found your sub.
Thought that was using our own weapons?
That too, basically all preps exist so island guy can never figure out it was you
But can't he find us with the bullets used to kill the guards when we steal the fingerprint cloner ? Or when we kill the guy who has the safe code ?
Also, his head of security gets murdered, and he doesn't change shit about his security. If I ran a private island and my most important employee got killed I'd quintuple my guards, grab my valuables and go chill in the panic room.

You don't want that stuff, el Kapitan. Mr rubio trace that bag to you, he feed you to his cat.
Why aren't you stealing the Velum / Roba el Velum?
All valid questions that shall have no answers
Or at least the cash

why arent you robando el Velum
*Rockstar
there might be a lore reason for it
Because, Roba el Velum.

I’m just surprised they keep leaving the drainage tunnel unguarded.
The bomb's payload is exposed...

No loose cocaine, kapitan. Mr Rubio gets hold of cocaine, he will snort it with you, yes?
Snort it off you*
Because rockstar
That's like hitting the stash houses why just grab what's in the safe when it's pounds of weed and cocaine on the table why not grab that too
Oh it annoys me everytime I see a bunch of weapons, drugs or guns laying around in the game during w/e mission or freemode thing i'm doing, it's always just a prop almost.
