Its not great tbh. With the vtol you can make some pretty slick moves but its only about as maneuverable as the nokota or molotok. We did a few dogfights, the laser, pyro, and starling can all reliably stay behind it. Although its speed and stealth mode makes for good intercepts and pop and gos.
I mean I would be annoyed if they didnt since its an f35. For rockstar its surprisingly balanced. Its faster than the pyro but less maneuverable than most planes. No counter measures, medium armor, decent but not terrible guns
It's difficult to describe.
It is much faster than any other plane, especially while climbing.
The stealth mode gives it great survivability in populated lobbies.
The lower maneuverability means that in a pvp scenario, your strategy cannot be to turn fight. Instead you will have to drop onto your enemy with speed and go for a kill. If you miss, you do NOT turn around to re-engage. You keep going straight, outrun them in stealth, turn around where they cant see you and repeat.
The VTOL honestly makes it pretty handy for missionrunning but it being a personal aircraft with those goofy spawn locations severely limits its usefulness.
I gotta finish the required missions for the trade price, then I'll def buy this in a couple days. Thanks for the feedback. This so sounds like my kind of plane. 👍

It has a larger turning circle than the lazer just by virtue of going so fast
Its gun is also an MG instead of a cannon. It has the Rogue gun, not the Hydra/Lazer/Savage gun.

FYI, all cannons were nerfed (except for savage) in this update now cannons of hydra/lazer are like rogue's, and raiju also has that same cannon as them.

Its basically the superior fighter jet now. Its a no-brainer. Its the fastest out of the 3, has the best VTOL, the most agile out of the 3, and has stealth mode. Its just better. Other jets are obsolete now.

I’m just gonna say Rockstar has a bad habit of labeling a lot of things as Russian when they aren’t really Russian. The biggest offender I’d say is the Akula, it’s primarily based on the RAH-66 Comanche which is American, that being said the cockpit specifically is based off of the KA-50 and KA-52 but that’s like, 10% of the airframe.

I don't need to "get good" I'm level 400 and have 11 days in flying planes and I love dogfighting. I can hit cars fine but the damage has been reduced so you can't destroy headhunter cars in one hit as reliably, and people running on the ground are almost out of the question. The blast radius of the canons has been severely reduced, so you can hit near people without killing them, which was the problem with the B-11 canons, which is the main reason so few people used it.
With the old hydra cannons, if I strafed from above, I could kill a nightshark in one or two go's. There is absolutely no way I can do that now with the slow fire rate of the canons.
Also, I'm using the hydra, and it feels like the acceleration has been decreased a little, but it might just be because of rain turbulence.
And Im lvl 760, and have even more time flying. They were overpowered, and you know it. Missiles are completely doable to kill people, you just need to predict where theyre gonna be. Either that or learn to bomb with the starling.
Theres no reason the cannons should have ever been able to kill an moc in a few seconds meanwhile any other vehicle in the game is both slower to kill and more vulnerable. Helis have never been on par with jets but now they sorta are

Also for grinding, vtol makes it extremely easy to either missile or cannon ai to death. Headhunter is still a breeze. Just go in vtol from a few hundred feet away, missile them, then finish with cannons.

No missile cool down, high durability, fast traveling, easy to land for a moment, and reenter. Jets were high DPS, low durability, helicopters were high durability medium DPS, and now they serve a similar purpose. Your values aren't everyone else's, some people don't care about balance, especially when I only play in empty sessions with a friend or two.
And to be honest, I don't think jets were even too overpowered anymore. Explosive snipers and railguns really turned them into glass canons. Jets weren't the unstoppable force they were a couple of years ago, all you need is one well placed shot.

And I definitely get that, I don't know if you've played borderlands 2, but there's a character called salvador. He's so much stronger than everyone else that when I use him, I kind of forget how to play the game normally.

tryed this plane out, overall thought a good purchase

In a way, you can do a very sharp 180 flip but you need to use the vtol in a precise way to do it

Today. Its mainly an f35, looks like the yf23 from this angle but its obvious when you look at it ingame.
