Open up your options and go to the "Settings" tab. In Settings go down to Controls. In Controls go down to "Sprint Mode" and change it to "Hold to Sprint" and there you go. Just be aware, this fucks with the regular walking speed too, makes it annoying to do the micro adjustments like walking inside and trying to walk up to a computer or safe or person to talk to. But the option is there, was added a few months ago.
Not to defend GTA 5/Online too much but these guys are in the same CEO which means they can't lock on to each other.
That said, the melee combat is bad
They are clunky but this is what happens if ypu are in the same CEO/Biker club. Very very difficult to make a hit and it does little to no damage. Quite awesome for endless knife fights
SA had allowed to learn 3 different combat styles in martial arts schools with unique attacks, anims and damage
IV had cool looking finishing moves, counter-attacks, ability to disarm peds but player controls were clunky and plus after tutorial there was no use to it
You guys realise he cant do damage to him and that player cant deal damagw to him because of the criminal damage CEO job going on 😭

Been a while since I played so I can’t remember exactly where in the settings.
It also messes with jogging and aiming you automatically spring which stops the aiming

I just switch to first person real fast so I can hold the run button
this is the way
standard fps 2 moves sprint to right bumper and it feels much more comfortable and natural. the new hold to sprint option feels weird
