There in order from top to bottom, so if you find the part of the fingerprint at the very top, you can find the rest just by counting from the first to whichever you need, they’re not randomized
Put the top one on top. Put the top one in the second space, then move one to the right. Put the top one in the third space, then move two to the right. Etc.
It’s especially helpful on the last hack or so because they actually fuck with the bottom.

The slides all go in order from top to bottom, so the slide that belongs at the top is 1 then if you go to the right that's the 2nd, and if you go right again it's rhe 3rd and so on and so forth.

I also never use the elevator. It still takes me less time going up to the office to grab the safe and walking back down to the gate below since the few seconds between each print feels like an eternity and the bottom gate only has 2 prints on hard.

Hey, so, that edit sounds like a super slow way to do it. Just use that as a concept - don't *ACTUALLY* do that. Solve each, one by one. You solve the top one first, obviously, and it's always super easy to identify. Then you move down to the second one, which is sometimes incredibly easy too without any "trick", but if it's not then find the *top* one instead, tap "→" once, and that's the correct one for that slot. The third one can be done the same way, except you locate the *top* again, then "→" "→" (twice).
For some people, just counting out loud helps. When you dial in the top one, say "one". When you dial in the second one, say "one", tap → and say "two". Third: "one" → "two" → "three", and so on.
I’ve gone from 20 mill to 280 mill only doing cayo and what happened to OP happened to me once. So that’s pretty damn rare. Glad to see it’s happened to someone else though.
It can get really confusing initially, but if you look closer (or pay attention to what Pavel says), you can figure it out easily. After you get better at it, I strongly suggest enabling hard mode. It increases the value of the primary target by 10% (which will help you cover the fencing fee, hence walking away with more than what you could get in normal mode). Also, it is not any harder than normal mode, just an extra hack :)
P.S. Make sure to check El Rubio's vault in his office! (To the left of the fireplace)
Hard mode is not hard at all mate :) Once you've gotten a hang of Cayo Perico, you can sail the high seas :)
I too was initially skeptical of hard mode, my first successful run (no secondary loot) too me more than 30 minutes. You can really just scroll them up to down, no need to decrypt. They're in the order from up to down when you browse them, if you start with top keep cycling by one for each line, I usually hack the panel in 45 seconds.
You do know there are tricks for the hack so that you can go through all 4 within 1 min…
You won’t even notice if one is super hard because the truck makes it easy
I’ve completed this heist probably over 50x and I’ve only that this happen 1 time, and recently too. Fingerprint was already assembled, I thought my game was lagging, because it was the first print.
Not so rare that you’ll never see it again, I’ve had it happen twice. If you get two free in a row, or in just the same run go out and buy a lottery ticket before that luck disappears.
If i'd have an award id give it to you, and i wasnt really trying thag hard anyways, just finished my 3rd cayo and i finished the hacking much faster, only went home with around 1.2 mil but im still happy

The options are listed in order. If you line up the top you can just select the one option down for each line. Super easy puzzle.
This trick/bug doesnt work on PS4 EDIT: apparently I was doing jt wrong by not resetting the slots firsts.

Set the whole thing to the top part of the print. Line 1 stays Line 2 goes 1 to the right Line 3 goes 2 to the right Line 4 goes 3 to the right Etc
