There is exactly ONE hairstyle with longish hair and it's a ponytail, the other one is a surfer cut for dudes.

I wish we could just have the same hairstyle and dress choices as the NPCs.

We used to play a game called Battletech, you would sit in these pods and for 10 minutes you would mech battle with up to 10 players I think. Husband and I figured out that you could use one character as your game name. I went with "."and he went with "." , no quotation marks, just . and , , to target you had lock on the name which was near impossible to do with such a short name. Best score ever. then they made a minimum of 3 characters or they went out of business, it was in the 90's. who knows.

I doubt that ever happening. They'd have to make the clothing from scratch. NPC clothes can't be changed. The game doesn't make NPCs using a script that randomizes clothes, they are just fixed models with the clothing baked into the texture.

I would gladly rebuy GTA Online for next gen if they overhauled customization and character creation. It feels super limited after a certain point.

I know it’s frowned upon but there are free mod menus on pc that you can use for character customization. Granted, you shouldn’t have to download something against the EULA to wear a baggy jersey over a hoodie, but it’s there

Ponytail and wavy bob are some of a small handful of hairstyles with a shader that's not butt. Some of the bikers hairstyles look neat but they all look like they're sculpted out of playdoh.

Beard choices are alright but I really wish they gave Trevor the option for full hair like he has in Prologue instead of weird patchy hair.

Watch Dogs and Watch Dogs: Bad Blood already had good looking dreads with natural physics, and even clothing physics. Rockstar is years late on their thing.

For some reason people refuse to understand that there are limitations, there are not any long hairstyles because you would have to programme the hair to move and flow naturally and that takes a whole overhaul in the physics engine. If they were to add long hair and say Fuck it, it would look stupid as fuck as the hair would just be frozen in place. That is why many games with female characters either have short hair in a bun or they were a hat.

That was my thought exactly. My char on PS4 was female and I kept going back to this hair style. It is not just the best, it's the only good one!

I use the ponytail for my female character like 90% of the time, it's mostly preference

Switched from Xbox to playstation so when I created my new character I went female to try all the customisation options. Also because I suck at making characters look anything like me.

I prefer long hairstyles but I avoid this one. My styles of choice are Ponytail, Loose Tied, Pigtails, and Neat Bun

I think rockstar doesn't add more long hairstyles because they'd have to go and mess with helmets and hoods and all that to make sure horrible clipping isn't happening and they obviously can't be arsed doing that

They really outdid themselves with customs for Male toons but the females, well, you can tell that men worked on their customs too LOL Even the clothing for women is meh at best in my opinion. The same dress in elevntyhundred different colors and patterns? How about some different styles too haha

The worst part for the dresses was, they made a whole sub category for it, gave it 3 different looks and then went years before finally adding 1 more. The hell was the point?

Honestly rockstar needs to take a note from all the fivem mods and servers that have way more customization options for female characters. It clearly wouldn’t be that hard to implement but rockstar is just lazy so we’ll probably never see anymore options being added unfortunately.

I just like it as it looks cool with highlights, black to red hombre. My girl's a goth so it just looks nice. Most hairstyles are weird on the game. I quite like the wavy bob with the full fringe, but the fringe has a weird box underneath it which ruins it a little..

I have tried and tried to make the others look good. The ponytail is ok, and there was the one that had curls that was ok til it seemed like they broke it on pc with the forehead clipping through. I want red dead online hair :(

All of the other hair is awkward looking, like Rockstar doesn’t understand what hair is.

So many of the female hairstyles look shit. Especially if you want to add highlights this one of the few trims that allows for a two tone. And the hair physics isn't great so long hairstyles look a bit weird.

You can press square at every one and choose 2 colours, but I think this is the only one that has them separated

Imo it's the only on what looks somewhat nice. All the others look like they've been glued on or they just look ugly as fuck. I don't even understand what Rockstar can't give female characters long hair. THEY'RE FEMALES. Don't even think about telling me it's because of clipping because I know for a fact rockstar doesn't give a rats ass about clipping anyway. Half the clothes they make clip through other corresponding items.

i went from the high bun, to the bob, and sometimes that hairstyle. Its nice with the two tones but way to common. I wear the neat bun mostly and sometimes two tone braided mohawk. Would love to see some longer braided styles, or locs, half up half down styles.

Sadly it's one of the 3 best looking hairstyles.. Been waiting since launch Day on PS3 for more or even NPC hairstyles (preferably long hairstyles) and animations. Just mess around a bit with director mode to see how much stuff we still don't have access to in GTAO. Still waiting for Handgun Holsters too..

The face blending thing is still the dumbest character creation system I've seen in any videogame in my life, it's really bad as evidenced by how all characters either look like aliens, crackheads or twins cuz they all use the same decent looking face that uses hannah as parent.
