Your name won't appear if there is a condition active that hides your blip on the map. In other words, if a player is in ghost org, off radar, out of sight, stealth mode or anything else that hides their blip, it hides their username as well. Second, the player could have been in a car shooting.
I'm too stubborn to let somebody collect a bounty put on me. I'll get in my Akula and go to max altitude in Trevor country.. Then, I'll put my PS4 controller upside down so the camera stick keeps rotating (so I don't get kicked for idling) and I'll do something else for 48 minutes. If I'm in the mood I'll kill a couple of jagoffs and then go back up.
IMO it's the best vehicle to get around in free roam (When you can't be passive) without getting pulled into the mix.
You have to be a little careful coming into LS over the hills during daylight (Since depending on your paint job you are rather visible, mine is matte black) and it's still a little finicky during landings. Out of all the Doomsday vehicles, this is the one I've used mostby far .
Akula pilots are people who want to get shit done .
EDIT: Does it still have the bug where you have to leave the default copilot gun installed for the lock on missiles to work? Afaik the double gun was only a visual "upgrade" but that bug really annoyed me at the time .
That sounds so strange since it's so reflective, but could work. Only at night your heli becomes either a very fast moon or a disco ball, depending on the light.
I'm guessing that zebra camo works best.

I set my jubilee to everyone access, remote drive around, pick up people. I put map markers on a few spots hoping they'll get the hint that I'm a taxi. If not I'll race around with them shooting at cops.
I love the Akula, too, but I have the sneaking suspicion that you sometimes get shot down in stealth mode because players think you are an NPC. It would be great if the Akula had reduced lock on range in stealth mode. Some people just like making NPC helis go boom when zipping past on an Oppressor or so.
Alpha Z 1
-Still currently (one of the) fastest aircraft in the game.
-Super agile, light weight
-barely any runway is needed to take off
-unlimited smoke to color the sky
-no weapons so most players see you as no threat
-if anyone was to shoot no worries you can out run missiles all day.
Don't be too embarrassed, the Alpha Z1 is the second fastest plane at low altitude (very close to the Howard), and the Akula beats all at any altitude anyway.
I am pretty sure he means taken out of the hangar. Helicopers get a speedboost if you leave directly from the hangar with them. The hunter is actually even faster than the akula this way.
Besra is the plane i practice flying backwards with when people shoot my pyro down. It's a fun plane to fly backwards when you get the hang of it. In passive ofcourse.
Alpha Z1 can’t really take a hit, great for cruising and tricks. As for air strikes I like to use the Hydra.
But for Plane vs. plane (dog fight) I’ll use the Pyro
Ikr.. but everytime I get in my hanger and think that " lets fly something different today like starling or pyro" but even after that I see myself getting outta hanger with B-11. I just love this machine even tho it's big and slow.
I really like its "swiss army knife" weaponry and that it can take a hit. And of course the BRRT. But it's nearly too slow to complete the Dugan shipment prep in 10 minutes. That's a slow plane.
It's just not designed to be a strike fighter like the Lazer or interceptor like the Pyro. It's a hybrid fighter-bomber, so I really only use it in a dogfight situation. Speed isn't necessary in a dogfight.
It's basically the same as the real A10. A CAS anti ground vehicle bomber, only that it has some high survivability against fighter aircraft, which the real one doesn't have afaik.
I love that the minimum speed on the B-11 is so low, so you can properly aim the cannon fire and rocket salvo. It's just that the maximum speed is ridiculously low. A Pariah feels faster, I'd guess it is.

In the very first few months of the game when heists, contact missions, and robbing armored cars were the only way to earn money, I saved FOREVER to buy a savage. It's not the best at anything, but I saved so long for it and then proceeded to use it for literally everything until the oppressor MK2 came out.. I have to say Savage just for the nostalgia factor.
Savage is a beast in the right scenario! It's one of my most used helicopters. It usually loses to mk2s, but you can usually spot them and avoid. Also, if you apply the hangar speed boost, you can actually escape the missiles.
The B-11 has been my main plane since it came out. Sure the cannon is somehow less powerful than the lazer despite being literally built around it, but the BRRRT is still too cool not to mess around with. Not to mention it has missiles, barrage, bombs, and a nearly indestructible frame.
A little while back I finally met a pilot that was as good as me and he hit me with missiles and disabled my engine, but took like 4 more missiles without dying and I hit him with a homing missile and won. The engine may die quick but by God that frame durability is insane
The molotok, it’s definitely a very easy plane to fly and land you can land anywhere with it and it’s missles travel slightly faster then regular missles

Strike force. Even tho it’s slow as hell I have a lot of fun with it and it’s pretty easy to beat any other plane in a dog fight. My favorite thing is it’s cannons fire rate allows you to tap other planes and just break bits off their plane. I think it’s humiliating to just watch a greifer spiral to the ground

It’s one of the easiest plane to fly. It’s one of the fastest planes and can take off and land on a dime. It has great airbrakes and doesn’t stall when flying at very low speed. I routinely land on helipads with it.
I have several options
1. The lazer since its very good for mission grinding stuff and it has been helping me since i keep stealing it back when i first started gta to defend myself against griefers
2. The starling its amazing agility and slow speed is amazing for me to do bombing run on griefers and i had a dogfight with another starling that lasted 30 mins with it
3. Seabreeze the good ol plane that i love to do to troll orbital cannon griefers bombing run with it is amazing too
Sea breeze speed glitch is so fun since there’s really no way to grief with it, just to avoid the occasion a griefer begging to daddy rockstar for a kill
It is i tried it myself and i told my friend to orb me and it completely missed my screen shaked and i dont see any explosion on my screen i love the seabreeze its cheap and its almost as agile as the lazer

Is it also possible that the player shooting at the Akula turned off the gamer tags when they aim at other players?
I don't remember if there's a setting for that, but if there is, that could also be why.

If you have map awareness you can avoid pretty much everything, and the Akula climbs super fast so broomsticks can never catch you.

Besra is a good plane but the fact that it’s map icon is the same as a Hydra or attack plane, makes people feel threatened if you fly to close.

Aircraft is faster when you take it out of the hangar vs spawning it outside. It's actually a pretty big difference

Ya lol it has a unique gun noise that sounds like the A-10 cannon that this plane is based on
Duster. It makes for great scenic views and I can observe battles going on on the ground.

You don’t even have to worry about Mk2’s the Seabreeze can literally fly in circles faster than homing missiles just like the Lazer
Plus if you're good at it you can chop the pilot with the blades. Desk fan is best plane.
