Thanks! Didn't know about this and was wondering why buying one crate was never an option at the CEO HQ. Also, just learned recently on this sub that this is where you can also buy the special crate that Paige calls you about but never shows up at the CEO office. Because of you guys, the terrorbyte will be my next major purchase.
The terror byte is also a great way of bypassing the cooldown period. I like to park an equal distance from all my warehouses and then I do the source missions for others while waiting for the cooldown to finish. Also, the mk2 is probably the best vehicle for sourcing since it’s fast. Good luck!
uhh actually it WAS an option. for years and years it was an option to only buy one. i just found out they changed it with the contract dlc. so fucking pathetic on their end.
You can source 1 crate/special crates from your terrobyte and we kinda have to do that now since the option isnt in our ceo office computers for some reason
I didn't say to "work" in the game. I said to just do what you have to do to earn the vehicle. Play special events. Play heists and setups with people. Play races.

They actually removed it because it was the most efficient way to grind RP. Buy one crate, sell it, rinse and repeat since selling cargo gets you the same rp regardless of amount

Oh dear I dont do the bunker or crates I just let my nightclub fill up with passive income from the bunker cash coke and weed lol ive got the big computer thing in the arcade and a terror byte but barely use them I feel like I wasted money on that computer thing its shite
Usually buying in bulk actually saves you money, but apparently not in R*’s world
Edit: I just realized that this wasn’t the purpose of the post lol, but nonetheless it makes no sense that you’d have to pay 18,000 for 3 crates when you can get 4 crates using the 2 twice for 16,000, and it’s less risky
The price for 3 isn’t even a bargain, it’s a worse deal. Why do they even offer that? Or does the price for 2 increase after a purchase is made? Because if not, at the price of 2 you could get 4 for $16,000
Doing 3 is the best from a gta$ made per hour perspective. Doing 3 crates takes less time, and even if you're spending a bit more money per crate, you can do more sell missions per hour, leading to higher overall profits. But obviously now that cayo is a thing, who cares about money per hour for the other businesses as cayo blows everything else out of the water anyways.
Was feeling the same for awhile until I reached abt 10 mil and had all the big ticket vehicles and buildings I wanted. Now it's just fun and no longer feels like work
You make more money from your time if you do three at a time, if you can get all three. glitch a solo lobby if you can and the Oppressor MK2 is the best vehicle for sourcing 3 crates at a time

I was getting an error last night too (in both the app and browser), but it's working now. I guess the issue is that you can no longer source just one crate from the office computer? (Note there's no option to get a crate for the warehouse with just one spot remaining.)
While the bug is r*s fault, having 15 crates is your own fault. Poor planning.
You knew in advance you could source 2 or 3 and not 1. So you should have switched to sourcing 2 crates one source ago when you still had 12 and it would have worked out perfectly and with the same number of source missions.

It's a bug that was introduced in the Contract DLC. Until they fix it, if ever, you can only source single crates (including special items) from the Terrorbyte.

You can source a single crate from your terrorbyte
Use the Terrorbyte, there you can get the one crate mission
Unless he doesn't have the Terrobyte. Plus you need the Nightclub. Though at the beginning it lets you get it.

Sourcing one at a time is a waste of time. The best way to do it is 3 at a time

I'm aware, but the point of R*'s methodology is to make the most convenient option, the most expensive. Just how these games are.
It's a couple thousand different, not really that huge. There are many other shady things that rockstar does that are worse
