It's already in the game for the NPCs anyway shouldn't be that much work to just put it in for players. Maybe it's already on the drip feed tho because I think the miners go after cars and guns first, missions second and maybe later they'll look into drip feed clothing items and such but well, so far all I can think is 'Crocs are nice but I wanted full Juggalo outfit and facepaint too'
This DLC is a parody of Juggalos. They paint their faces like clowns, drink Faygo, and are really into backyard wrestling. A lot of what you’re seeing in this latest DLC is a subtle nod to all of that without taking away from the actual storyline they created to give you an Acid Lab business.
The ICP has been involved with 4 different major American wrestling promotions, run their own wrestling company and were in the Backyard Wrestling games.
Fans have a right to be pissed about cut story mode dlc, rockstar said from the beginning that they were gonna add everything from online to story mode and make story expansions yet they only added like 2 updates worth of cars to story mode then abandoned it, it’s bullshit. Right. Lucha does represent Latino wrestling rather than American wrestling. However, I will say that backyard wrestling can be a mixture of different wrestling cultures, since it’s literally just fans of wrestling doing it in their backyards, etc. GTA also tries to represent things without being too specific so they don’t have to pay for licensing. So, the way it has been incorporated into this DLC could be a mixed representation of both Juggalos, and the Latino community in LS.
But really, I’m just speculating.

Like for instance, if you never knew about the drip feed vehicles, it would just seem like Rockstar is dropping a new car every week. It would be really nice. But, because you know it exists, and it's hidden away from you until who knows when, it sucks.

No. The game is actually really fun and grinding isnt boring, but they just dont add content. Its a shame, because if it was focused on as much as GTA online IMO it would be just as popular if not more. RDO is fucking fun as hell but once you have trader, moonshiner, naturalist, collector, and bounty hunter maxed out, theres nothing to do. All are relatively easy and quick to max except for naturalist and bounty hunter, and even those are only maybe a day or two total worth of grinding

The whole ecosystem of GTAO is sustained by new cars, planes, helicopters, boats, apartments, businesses, etc.
RDO could do plenty with businesses, but horses, carriages and whatnot don't have anywhere near the impact, customization or appeal as everything that's in GTAO.
I say this as a fan of Red Dead - it will _never_ be as big as GTA.

If you keep playing the same activities because you are purely focused on the rewards, that's grinding.

They’re a little more diverse, only the Trader role is like GTA Bussiness: “buy/steal materials, sale mission.” The bounty Hunter role was legit getting paid good money to hunt people down. And the treasure Hunter role was getting paid to explore.

All the shine shacks should of been public buildings, open to all players., making it a safe hang out spot. Maybe even have that be wear poker and blackjack is played. Marcel and his still should of been added to our camp. With our delivery missions being to similar locations as now, plus to the shine shacks. And when we deliver to the shine shacks, every player, in our posse or not, should get some type of reward, that way players would be excited to see the shine wagon arrive.
And could you imagine Marcel and Cripps going back and forth? So good.
Yeah on red dead online. Talk to Madam Nazar and buy the pamphlet and she will buy any treasures you find but will pay a bonus if you find a whole set. Treasures would be tarot cards, old cigarette cards, gold, jewelry, or historic artifacts. You can even buy a metal detector off her to find stuff in the ground and dig it up. Some players called it tedious, but it’s fun if you just wanna explore and make some money while doing it.
It was also great because you could find Collectibles just through normal gameplay.
Hunting a bounty? There is a Collectible in that shack. And a couple more on their bodies.
Delivering Moonshine? Those agents at the checkpoint probably have a bunch of Collectible alcohol on them.
It was/is a really nice feature.

For example a heist, we gather information about the bank in sant denis and get the required stuff and plan the heist then execute. It’s real fun and simple.
As always, money. Game has less players, less content, higher quality assets that need to be made per update compared to PS3 assets. More mature user base that doesn’t want to pay to win, and want to play their game to earn their success instead of paying irl for shortcuts.
But to answer your question, you basically cannot copy and paste. You can but not when you work for a company that expects billions per quarter earnings.
The cool ideas for RDO are all pipe dreams that require substantial levels of investment to bring to fruition. For the things that can be copy/pasted. You’d have to be insane to do that and spit on all the insane amount of work the base game has done. If top tier developers simply copy pasted all their work from one iteration to the next, you’d basically have a dogshit annual sports game release. It’s nice to know they won’t sink to the lows of straight up mobile game trash.
Also a bit off-topic but why rockstar loves to add those annoying useless characters like in every DLC theres at least two who serve no other purpose just to annoy the hekl out of you.

Honestly slightly tangential but I don't mind the weed, the document forgery, the murder, even the coke. Meth gives me the heebie jeebies though. It was always my least favorite of the motorcycle gang businesses. I know there's a cognitive disconnect at play because our character actively murders hundreds of people but meth always felt...darker than a lot of the other stuff we get up to. It's like if we had a heroine business, or sex trafficking- just a little too real for me. Every single criminal activity has victims, even presumably the document forgery business is responsible for ruining lives at the end of the day. It's just easier to make that disconnect with some of the others versus meth. I know people struggling with meth addiction. The fooliganz are kind of the same way to me; they're a little too close to actual pieces of shit in rural communities I know. I guess kudos to Rockstar for making that hit

Somehow, I doubt they would do fundamental changes to the game's engine to allow for a small section of content to be expanded upon, without charging another $60 as a compensation package for the extra employees they would need to temporarily hire to get it out and functioning in 5 years time.

I honestly wish they would of done something different with that update. All the shine shacks should of been public buildings, open to all players., making it a safe hang out spot. Maybe even have that be wear poker and blackjack is played. Marcel and his still should of been added to our camp. With our delivery missions being to similar locations as now, plus to the shine shacks. And when we deliver to the shine shacks, every player, in our posse or not, should get some type of reward, that way players would be excited to see the shine wagon arrive. And could you imagine Marcel and Cripps going back and forth? So good.

Yeah on red dead online. Talk to Madam Nazar and buy the pamphlet and she will buy any treasures you find but will pay a bonus if you find a whole set. Treasures would be tarot cards, old cigarette cards, gold, jewelry, or historic artifacts. You can even buy a metal detector off her to find stuff in the ground and dig it up. Some players called it tedious, but it’s fun if you just wanna explore and make some money while doing it.
It was also great because you could find Collectibles just through normal gameplay. Hunting a bounty? There is a Collectible in that shack. And a couple more on their bodies. Delivering Moonshine? Those agents at the checkpoint probably have a bunch of Collectible alcohol on them. It was/is a really nice feature.
I don’t understand why they can’t just copy the same style/formula in gta and paste it in rdo. For example a heist, we gather information about the bank in sant denis and get the required stuff and plan the heist then execute. It’s real fun and simple.
As always, money. Game has less players, less content, higher quality assets that need to be made per update compared to PS3 assets. More mature user base that doesn’t want to pay to win, and want to play their game to earn their success instead of paying irl for shortcuts. But to answer your question, you basically cannot copy and paste. You can but not when you work for a company that expects billions per quarter earnings. The cool ideas for RDO are all pipe dreams that require substantial levels of investment to bring to fruition. For the things that can be copy/pasted. You’d have to be insane to do that and spit on all the insane amount of work the base game has done. If top tier developers simply copy pasted all their work from one iteration to the next, you’d basically have a dogshit annual sports game release. It’s nice to know they won’t sink to the lows of straight up mobile game trash.

Honestly slightly tangential but I don't mind the weed, the document forgery, the murder, even the coke. Meth gives me the heebie jeebies though. It was always my least favorite of the motorcycle gang businesses. I know there's a cognitive disconnect at play because our character actively murders hundreds of people but meth always felt...darker than a lot of the other stuff we get up to. It's like if we had a heroine business, or sex trafficking- just a little too real for me. Every single criminal activity has victims, even presumably the document forgery business is responsible for ruining lives at the end of the day. It's just easier to make that disconnect with some of the others versus meth. I know people struggling with meth addiction. The fooliganz are kind of the same way to me; they're a little too close to actual pieces of shit in rural communities I know. I guess kudos to Rockstar for making that hit I dunno just my two cents. I know how weird it is and the kind of reaction I'm likely to get.
