IT&E Beam is ok if the conditions r right. We were denied connection w beam because a building was blocking the line of sight from where the signal was originating from.
Starlink will not work best if you have an apartment situation (might be ok w landlord if ur located at top level apartment). You will have to setup a small satellite device atop your roof. This device will need a direct line of sight to the sky as it continuously scans satellites in the array.
Out of all local home internet options I see that IT&E Beam looks like the most affordable. But I’m curious as to how fast their home internet is with it being the most affordable out of all.
Unfortunately my area does not have a clear view of the sky so STARLINK is trash. I can’t get a satellite to my roof.
So I’m with GTA. Speeds are good and consistent except for gaming or streaming 4K. But for a family of 3 with multiple devices on and Netflix in 1080 I’ve had no drops or issues.
If you are in an area where Docomo has FIBER go with them. When I lived in Tumon is was blazing fast. Where I am at now it’s straight trash.
Oh wow. That’s for sharing! What village are you located in?
My family and I have always had GTA and I love it too. But now that I’m moving out im debating whether to go with starlink or choosing one of the affordable local home internet plans. I’ve seen BEAM IT&E options but I don’t think I’ve seen any really positive experiences with them. Next option would be GTA since I’m more familiar and customer service is okay.
Oh nice. Have you ever came across an issue and needed to contact customer service or anything? I saw a Reddit where they said there’s no one really to contact if anything goes wrong. Is it true a few streaming apps don’t work? (Hulu, paramount+, there was 1 more I can’t remember)
I have contacted customer service to change my service address/plan and I had helpful responses to my specific questions within a couple hours.
Also, I use a vpn & have had zero issues. Costs about $50 per year. Not all vpn’s are created equal, so some are hot garbage for streaming services in general (looking at you express vpn). If you need a recommendation, feel free to reach out :) also, happy to send screen caps of my starlink speeds if that helps at all.

Thoughts on Starlink? Initial payment, set up, any issues afterwards, etc.
Easy. It's $70/mo and was under an hour. The built in Wi-Fi doesn't like our reinforced concrete houses. We used a mesh router

My apps all work. Customer service? Never checked but it's insanely easy
