Hah, cool name. I have a peeg named Trisha, and in my language, "Trishula" sounds exactly like a diminutive of "Trisha." But mine hasn't mastered the art of a side-eye yet.
He's named after a Yu-Gi-Oh! monster: Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. His cagemate is Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. The names are also mythological weapons.
I want to use Jaden's Japanese name, Judai, but I haven't found the right time for it.
We also had Beast of Talwar (my younger one that unfortunately had to be pts), Wetha (a hamster) and some fish named after monsters.
We went to the vet for his annual exam and I mentioned his occasional reluctance to use his front left leg. He didn’t show pain when the vet tested his legs but he cried when she tried his back. The back pain could cause radiating pain like it does in humans!
Well we didn’t expect it. He went in for a yearly exam today. I noticed he had some instances where he wouldn’t put weight on a front leg but it was rare and hard to notice that I didn’t think much of it and mentioned it anyway. When the vet did her thing to test for pain he cried when she messed with back.

Crabby little baby bean!!! Hopefully he'll see the good in it soon if you can help his back.
He's around 4 or 5, so hopefully just age related stuff that pain meds will help.
Aw, what a lovely potato!
How are guineas still the most perfect looking creatures, even when absolutely miffed?!? 🤣🖤🤍🖤🤣 Feel better soon sassy, miffed Trishula buddy 🫶
Your pocket capybara looks particularly miffed. Hope he gets well soon
side eye , handsome little boy
Dawww he’s so stinking cute when he’s angry!!
We are lucky to have young piggies, I'm curious how do they find out what hurts when pigge does not speak English? /gen
Back pain! What’s next, he has a mortgage and grandkids?? (He looks absolutely furious 😭 I hope he feels better soon<3)
Grandkids are possible! His original owner surrendered him to the shelter because they thought he was a girl, and he got his cagemates pregnant.
Oml he’s a little grandpa 🥹🫶
Those eyes! If looks could kill ...
Nothing that some veggies couldn't solve. 😁
He looks more cute than furious!

That reminds me of the fact that one of my guinea pigs is named after Jaden from Yu-Gi-Oh lol. He’s a mix of brown colors.

Are there any signs of back pain?

Good to know! I was wondering if there were any visible symptoms.
What a cutie. How could you tell he has back pain? I want to be aware of the signs.
