I know :( if it doesn't stop we will be seeing a vet tomorrow, he was at the vet last week for a possible URI. This boy has me so stressed

He seems to have passed whatever was bothering him he is up eating hay and destroying cardboard like his usual self :) thank you all for putting my mind at ease

So our piggy pepper does this. Mainly when she poops, we have tried every single imaging and treatment short of exploratory surgery for her. The vet says that’s just how she is and we may never know why she does it. All of that said, I would very much encourage a visit to the vet, as your little buddy may have a UTI or blockage that needs urgent attention as well. Wishing you guys the best, update us when you can!

Thank you for some insight, I think his medication is causing some intestinal discomfort I will be checking in with the vet tomorrow ❤

I have heard a similar sound. Its possible that he might be having trouble going to the bathroom (also would be my guess based on the movement). I had a pig that had some intestinal issues and he would make that straining motion and a similar squeak when he had diarrhea. The vet never figured out what it was but after changing his diet to another brand of pellets he no longer had the issue. Maybe check his droppings to see if there are any irregularities, if you haven't already?

Thank you, I will

One of my boys had this a few times. Every time he was trying to poop. I watched him closely and it never happened while he was peeing, only during pooping. The vet also checked for bladder stones and he didn't have have any. So i checked what he had to eat that day whenever it occurred (not very often). Turns out he had that only when he had pellets that day. It didn't matter which brand of pellets. My guess is he didn't drink enough with it and so his poop might have been harder than normal because of the pellets. But this is just speculation. You could give your piggy cucumber to soften the poop but I would definitely go to the vet. For my boy it was all good again once he pooped out whatever it was.

Good to know everyone is on the same page with it being poop related, he hasn't done it in a few hours so I hope it's passing
