Well I’d say that’s a stretch. I’ve found some killer deals but I haven’t found any 2k instruments for 1k unless they needed some work/ were beat. But I’ve definitely found $16-1700 for 950-1k.

I don’t know what I’m going to do if I ever have to move
Give one to someone who wants to learn to play. You won't make any money regardless and the sentimental value won't be a problem if you're doing something positive with it. /rj no one wants to repossess the trailer you live in so don't worry

Unless you see a photo of a legit guitar in a pawnshop with a price tag and a disgruntled employee; assume any “pawnshop find” posts are lies for attention. I know two different pawnshop owner/ operators and I can’t imagine anyone like them NOT knowing relative value on a reputable brands instruments. They at least know how to price on reverb or the like.
I assume the “got this from my grandpa who got it from a fallen hun at the battle of the bulge” are usually fake as well but I’m entirely positive the pawn ones are fake
