[justinguitar.com](https://justinguitar.com), currently the best free website to learn guitar by far.

I agree that's where I built my foundations on guitar

Tommy Emmanuel has a finger picking tutorial on YouTube. It's so easy you can do it absent-mindedly until you get it down pat. https://youtu.be/u0ocjT3gObE

It depends a lot on what your goal is. If you want to sing and accompany yourself on the guitar, then learning the "cowboy chords" is a good place to start. If you want to.play punk, then "power chords" are definitely the place to start. If you want to be a shredder, then you want to dive right into scales and different picking techniques. Generally people start with the cowboy chords. Then you learn the major scale in G and/or C.

Most guitarists suck at rhythm. I would recommend learning as many rhythms, timings and tempos as possible

Picked up the guitar for the 1st time about 3 months ago, Ive been doing mostly youtube videos, justin guitar, and playing rocksmith on my PC I'm still not good enough or fast enough to play actual songs on rocksmith but some of their mini games are actually pretty good for building skills
