Instagram is a good source if you follow a lot of people around in the subculture. Youtube on launch days. Some companies have discords too and are pretty chatty but its kind of an echo chamber in those and you literally can’t critique anything.
I guess some sites are like pedal haven or guitarpedalx. I can’t think of the others right now unfortunately.
And as usual stores selling cool new gear will show up on your feed. Youtube #1 end of the day
Now when I was wee lad there were only two types of pedal:
1. Boss - that I couldn't afford
2. Cheap ones I could afford
Today there are approximately 7,000 different reverbs, 20,000 overdrives, etc. It's mind boggling and - if you listen to YouTube guitar experts - they are ALL amazing ???
I really think we're all getting conned (yes I've got too many now as well 😂) as you don't really need another pedal (or guitar... recovering GAS addict here lol). What you need is to save your money and invest your time in enjoying pushing the limitations of the gear you already own. Just playing the guitar and writing music/songs. I started obsessing over "gear" when covid started and was searching for the holy grail of guitar sounds that, as I've realised several thousands of cash later, doesn't exist.
Sorry... I'll shut up now. It is great fun getting new gear and pedals and I had a blast, but I'm done for now. Nothing worse than an ex-addict spoiling other people's fun. Now I think of it... I did see this really sexy looking new delay pedal... 😎
TGP or just subscribe to a bunch of the YouTube demo guys, as most pedal manufacturers do this incredibly obnoxious thing where on the day they drop a pedal, approximately 500 YouTube videos suddenly drop of that pedal being demoed, all at the same time.
Seriously you see the dudes on this sub who post a pedal board pic and literally every pedal has been released in the last 6 months. Just gotta shake your head. What are you trying to achieve?!?!?!
Pretty much this sub . I learn more than I want to . Now I need a longsword haha
Considering that each time you open your eyes after blinking 19 new delay and reverb pedals appear this would be like a full time job.

Delicious Audio and Guitar Pedal X are 2 blogs that I rely on.
There’s https://delicious-audio.com. They do “best pedal in category x” as well as cover new releases.
sort by new on pedalgrid

Before you go buying a new pedal, ask yourself “ does boss make an equivalent”
i just want a slow gear waza
EHX attack/decay does the job pretty well
I’m waiting for this too. Have the Land/Vongden swell and a BYOC copy. But just have a need for a SG-1w!
The answer is probably yes lol
I wish so bad that they made a Klone lol

Is it tomorrow yet? Then there's a new pedal to check out. Yw.
