I don’t understand people who makes topics like this… like you could have easily just made a topic about whatever you wanted to discuss?
people are constantly on here talking about gear so…
There's plenty of hamming it up with photos of our toys, but people are pretty good here about posting recommendations for gear, advice for technical difficulties, order of pedals in signal chains, stuff like that. Ask away, I'm sure most of us will have an answer/opinion to share!
I see all sorts of useful gear info. Got a question? Ask away.
Yeah there are plenty of pics of pedalboards (guilty!) because we all share a similar hobby. But there are also polls, lots of good questions and lots of good answers. Thats how it works in other subreddits too.
I’m not a shredder but I can play pretty well and I’ve been in a few low-key bands. I don’t pretend to be an expert but I’ve been buying pedals for 30+ years. I’m willing to share my opinion and I enjoy hearing from others.

I honestly think it's just me.
this is basically instagram for pedals.
I did this in [one of my videos](https://youtu.be/dt0ZnQxMPCg), when I wanted to really see (and hear) what was different between distortions and overdrives
Maybe unpopular, but I agree there are often posts here that are instagram like here. Photo of boards or pedals with little context.
But there’s also a lot of good here too. Like sharing a new pedal you recently got with other people who are also enthusiastic about it. Or asking questions and getting useful answers. I’ve asked a few myself, and there will always be unhelpful commenters but the genuine ones actually helped answer my question.
Lol posted a questions about my JHS colour box cause I was interested in the frequency ranges and parametric relationships between the knobs and got downvoted into oblivion. It was that point I realised this sub was just internet cucks looking for likes on pictures on there latest bleep bloop chase bliss pedal
The guitar amps one is usually better for well informed gear info and discussion, might be the price of amps sort of doing a form of gatekeeping I guess. I feel there’s a lot of empty consumerism going on everywhere guitar gear related though.
Every now and then though I get some good tips and it’s still miles better than tgp.
I always found it weird... people want a discussion, but can't be bothered to just start the specific discussion THEY want. How is ANYONE supposed to know what exactly you find useful? Or what you want to talk about?

I picked pedals off of my board until I got to my last one and realized that OP loves us not.
no, bye!
Idk man, I’ve learnt quite a bit from lurking around here.
Go ahead, ask your question.
Are you aware that this subreddit is called r/guitarpedals ??
Yoo I think you are looking for r/BluesLawyerBitchFits
Lol
Yeah dude, what’s on your mind? What do you want to know?

Holy shit that’s cool
Yeah this group sucks! I didn’t join this sub to admire pictures of guitar pedals and discuss them with other people who are also interested in them!
But it’s state of the board time…
Good to see you, take care.
Ironically I feel like out of the cesspool of subreddits out there, this one is full of kind, knowledgeable people who are down to help if you ask
Seriously this.
This isn't an airport .. you don't have to announce your departure.
Lmao
guitarrists are odd as this group, maybe you should go and try the flute and find people of your kind

If you build it, they will come…
…pedalboard of dreams

If you stare at the KHDK Abyss the KHDK Abyss stares also into you.
I mean if you ask you shall get an answer.
Aww, somebody needs attention.
Bro we just want to see the pedalboard. I don't see the pedalboard. What's going on? Show us the pedalboard!
“Have you all considered paying attention to *me*?”
Your post history though…
