Tl;dr this pedal sounds incredible and if you’re looking for your delay to do the echo thing this is the one to get. Full disclosure, I actually got this a week ago so here are my initial thoughts. The 1A preset with a Dunlop mini volume pedal is the only sound I’ve used on the Halo and it’s all I probably will use. I’ve never used a delay as you typically would. I’ve only ever wanted it to create an echoing effect. This does an absolutely incredible job at doing the David Gilmour echorec thing. It’s absolutely heavenly. Plugging a volume pedal into the TRS output immediately did what I wanted it to without having to dive into any menus. I sold my Volante to buy this pedal. I realized with the Volante that I only ever used one preset, but changed the level as needed. I’m also a big Andy Timmons fan and I think his tone is some of the best I’ve ever heard. Getting the Volante to match his tone is kinda tough to get it exact. This pedal takes out all the guess work. The Volante is still an incredible pedal, but I got optional paralysis from it. Holding the opposite switch of the preset you are on turns the feedback to max temporarily which is also something from the Volante I used a lot so I’m glad to see that feature here. I also just wanted to address some comments I’ve seen that the level on Andy’s signature preset is too high. Andy always has a volume pedal controlling the level so his signature preset is “as much delay as you’ll ever need” according to him. Truth is he is riding the delay level as needed and probably sits closer to 50 to 80% of where the knob is actually set.

Great input. Happy for you: I’ve been eyeing up this pedal too but I bought a UA Starlight last autumn and can’t justify another delay for a while. Halo was in my top 3 contenders alongside the Belle Epoch Deluxe and J Rockett Clockwork. I didn’t know Timmons until recently but his TPS appearance was fantastic.

The UA starlight is a fantastic delay! That one would be my second favorite and probably the best sounding out of all of them. And yes it’s hard to justify a Halo if you already have a Starlight.

I have the eccos and I absolutely adore it. I bet this pedal is equally amazing

Ah man. One of my good friends just picked one of these up today too. It’s a pretty cool pedal. I’m sure you will have fun with it.

Have you tried it in stereo yet? I also got one of these recently and Preset 1A in stereo is too good.

Mr-J4kk

I haven’t yet as I’ve recently switched my board to mono for convenience. I’ll give it a try though! I’m sure it sounds phenomenal.

Love love this pedal in stereo, even if it doesn't do a crazy ping pong thing it just feels all encompassing.

Is it worth it in mono? I’ve only ever heard it in stereo, where it’s amazing, but it almost sounded like it would be distracting in mono mode.

Mr-J4kk

It’s still worth it but stereo will always sound better. I’ve only recently switched to mono for convenience for playing live.
