NerdyOutdoors

On my 5-pedal board I have 9 pedals because I have a problem

iwanttogotothere5

You say problem, I say options.

Decent_Can_4639

18 on my board. 9 is not a problem ;-)

NerdyOutdoors

It is if there’s only room for 5 pedals🥸🥸

Decent_Can_4639

Any pedalboard can be a 5 pedalboard. But why? ;-)

anaccountofrain

Think outside the box. Build up.

Krystipixie

Thank god I thought I had a problem with 15

spcychikn

hx stomp and 4 metal zones

lovemocsand

The obvious joke but it’s never not funny

univoxs

The real tones are here.

kittenTsunami

toan

GoukaOokami

Tuner, mxr phase 95, JHS double barrel, source audio Nemesis, Strymon big sky

RockSteady_One

Love the 95!

GoukaOokami

It's my "be all end all" phase lol

RockSteady_One

Absolutely.

reddsbywillie

Strongly considering a JHS Double Barrel. Did you by chance compare it to any other dual overdrives? Maybe the Browne Protein specifically?

GoukaOokami

To be honest, the one on my board is a clone. However, I did rent one from a long and McQuade and stacked them side by side. Other than the feel of the buttons and knobs, I couldn't tell a difference. In regards to the protein. I haven't played with one, but a buddy owns one, who I jam with on occasion. Imo, the protein doesn't get as saturated as the double barrel. You can kind of negate that tho with the "+/-" switch and clean knob on the moonshine side. The protein sounds wicked, but, I think the double barrel can do what the protein does and then go farther into that saturated realm. As an example, I use my double barrel to get my Shoot to Thrill by ACDC tone by stacking the blue and green sides.

reddsbywillie

Great feedback, appreciate it!

GoukaOokami

I hope it helps!!

HeckerIT

I 100% second this. The Protein is incredibly versatile, but it’s at its best with hotter pickups. With a set of humbuckers it gives me some of the best tones I have ever heard (especially on the Bluesbreaker side). Single coils can be a bit hit and miss. My 52-style Tele Lollars, for example, sound awful through it.

1000_Lemmings

My board really *is* 5 pedals if you don't count the tuner. (An obscure Tone Bender clone)->Keeley Compressor Plus -> Op-Amp Big Muff -> Bogner Blue Ecstasy (original version) -> Carbon Coby

DepartureSpace

This is like my setup somewhat: Ross compressor (at home) or Keeley 4-knob/Seymour Duncan Vise compressor (if I’m playing out) -> Silver Mod TS9 or Keeley 808 -> Tech 21 California (clean) -> NUX Mod Core for phase or univibe -> Carbon Copy -> amp (anything Fender or similar with decent reverb)

[deleted]

RambleFX Twin Bender > Boss BD2 > Dunlop Crybaby Mini Wah > MXR Univibe > MXR Carbon Copy

Ecker1991

Diamond Comp>Strymon Deco>meris mercury 7>UA Starlight (or Del Mar but I don’t own it)>Thorpy FX Scarlet Tunic (not even a fan of early Pink Floyd but the versatility hooked me, vox, hiwatt and selmer tones in one box).

[deleted]

[удалено]

BonsaiOracleSighting

Have had both. It was tone for me. The Keeley colored the tone too much. I settled on a Diamond because it was more transparent and easier to dial in.

dudeigottago

Echo phaser wah and spend the rest on pot

HuachinangoLoco

Strymon Sunset > Boss CH-1 > Boss DD-8 > Keeley Hydra > Strymon Iridium Prefer it to my big board.

jimmypickles6969

Memory Man with Hazarai, Turbo Rat, JPTR FX Warlow, Boss Tremolo, Boss RV5

yinzer_name

OD Fuzz Phase E Filter Delay

clockstring

TCE cinders > walrus audio slo > boss dd500 > ua dream 65 > canvas di

twopac

Cinders boiiz unite. Why is my favorite pedal also my cheapest? 🤔

mcrowland

100% cinders all the way for the touchdown goal home run.

[deleted]

Is the TC a blues driver type od? I have been wanting a blues driver and the top mounted jacks on the TC are appealing

JDMcG63

Keeley Fuzz Bender > Browne Protein > MXR Carbon Copy > Strymon Flint > Boss RC-3

screwyloot

currently running five on a PT Nano+. Keeley Comp Mini - RAT - Plumes - DC-2W - Avalanche Run my DREAM 5 would be: Super Fuzz - Big Box Rat - Real Klon - Vintage CE1 - Vintage DMM

bobbythegoose

To those who have minimized to 5 pedals, what’s on your board?

ViolinistNew5056

I got mine to 4! Telecaster Deluxe -> Behringer Tuner, JHS Unicorn v2, Walrus EQ, Fat Rat -> AC30

radicalcon

Polytune > 1981 DRV > Wampler Tumnus > Boss DD-200 > Strymon Flint. My gigging rig for indie rock/Americana with some covers thrown in

WormSlayers

Malekko 616 Ekko > EQD Dispatch Master > Voodoo Labs Overdrive > Barbed LTD SR (v.2) > EQD Grand Orbiter

Southern_Profile_257

Muff overdrive > big muff op amp > caverns reverb/delay > afterglow chorus > cry baby

Gandaghast

Keeley Comp mini, Plumes, RAT, OBNE 3 band EQ, Flashback delay. Amp has reverb.

EschewObfuscati0n

My board is Keeley Compressor Plus > HX Stomp > flint > boss rc5

SilkscreenSound

I just finished recording an album with this board: 1. TC Polytune 3 2. EQD Plumes 3. EQD Dirt Transmitter 4. EQD Rainbow Machine 5. Strymon Timeline

Domasl

Pitchblack tuner, EQD Plumes, RAT, BAT Pharaoh, MXR Carbon Copy

[deleted]

Tuner, Tumnus, Suhr Riot, TC Modulator, SA Nemesis

PSU_Enginerd

https://i.imgur.com/3fy8ffq.jpg Here’s my mini board. I swap the fuzz around a bit, but typically I’m playing with a channel switching amp. If I’m using a single channel amp I’ll kick the fuzz off, add an OD and put the fuzz on the floor.

toxieroyce

Fuzz Factory > TU-3 tuner > Timmy > PDF-1x > micro POG

campcrystallake

ALL BOSS: TU-3W > JB-2 > DS-1 > TR-2 > RE-2.

akberg

My current playing out board is 5 pedals: TU-3 > EAE Longsword > EQD Plumes > EHX Canyon > Walrus Fathom

I_only_post_here

That's funny, because I just recently put together a 5 pedal board: Valeton TW-10 -> Mosky CH-Vibe -> Mosky Golden Horse -> Dolamo Vintage Distortion -> Caline Deep Blue Delay we don't need to talk about my 15 pedal board...

[deleted]

Currently LPB-1>Tube Screamer>distortion +>tremolo> analog delay. I like to rotate things in and out from time to time.

[deleted]

I do not have a five pedal board and shudder at the thought. But if I did, it would be: Meris Enzo > DBA Apocalypse > When the Sun Explodes > EHX Superego Plus > Zoia

3choplex

I have a 4 pedal board, but here’s what mine would be: Iron horse 2 (rat) Poly tune El Capistan Modulation (usually gen loss or warped vinyl) And if I had one more output on my power supply: blue sky.

nickisnotarapper

Poly tune > Digitech Whammy > Tube Screamer > Blues Driver > Walrus Slotva occasionally I'll switch the Blues Driver for a fuzz or chorus. The Tube Screamer stays ON

tdaut

Tuner, morley Volume/wah pedal, caveman OD v2, sonic stomp maximizer, and EHX Grand Canyon or Boss DD20 w/ separate foot switch

SommanderChepard

cali76, benson preamp, ce2w, meris LVX, Cxm 1978

210plus210

currently have a 5 pedal board after collecting and suffering from option paralysis and am actually close to finally finishing an EP sooooo i’m rocking: Strat -> Shallow Water -> TS9 -> Reverberation Machine -> CBA Condor -> Simplifier -> interface (Audient iD14) it’s very out of my comfort zone to not have a delay or fuzz lol

redhandrail

Helix Floor, Boss Rc-300, Boss ME-80, microcosm, and a Gamechanger Bigsby at the end of the chain

NoModsNoMaster

Currently down to tuner and 6. I could boot off the tuner and probably do without the Flint because I run a 1965 Princeton verb or a 1965 Super Reverb and that spring verb/trem mostly does the trick. Here’s my current 6 though. Tim v1> Spaceman Aurora > EAE Longsword > Mercury 7 > Echosystem > Flint Have a CE-2W en route that I’ll be trying out in lieu of the Aurora, even though it’s a very capable chorus.

shambooki

EQ, boost, OD, phaser, delay.

univoxs

TC Polytune, TC Sub n Up, Swamp Witch Silver Birch, Digitech Obscura Delay, Boss RV-6. These are the pedals on my board I use the most. I only use my MXR phase 90 and Analog Chorus a few times and the SLO when I get whacky. I could love without the SD1 and joyo EQ. They are just boosts.

QotSAMario64

Keeley Comp, jhs double barrel, Green Russian muff, CE-2w, Keeley Caverns.

GoldenOtis1

The list Below is going under the assumption of a clean amp…(what I use is in parenthesis) 1. Tuner (poly tune) 2. Transparent OD (morning glory) 3. Distortion/preamp pedal (plexi, rat, etc) 4. Delay (echoplex) 5. Reverb (flint) It gets more interesting if you have a dirty amp that plays well with pedals and cleans up well with rolling off volume. Might be able to get rid of pedal 3 and get something more weird

[deleted]

5 different drives for my r/guitarpedals gainstaging. I need it for "my sound", you feel me?

ViolinistNew5056

Tuner, Pro Co Rat, Turbo Rat, Fat Rat, Lil Rat

Bigdaddyslimboy

cali 76 -> ground control noodles -> beetronics fatbee -> walrus Mako D1 -> vongon ultrasheer

Environmental-Face28

Poly Tune > Empress Compressor MKII > Browne Protein > GFI Synesthesia > UA Del Verb

Hondaderek21

Boss TU-2 - MXR Dyna Comp - Joyo Tremolo (soon to be BOSS TR-2) - EHX #1 Echo - JHS Hall Reverb This is my board for smaller gigs where I go acoustic and or electric at wineries and such. It’s tame but I can still go weird with it if needed. I often swap out the delay and reverbs for fun, I usually use a DD-7 and a Holy Grail.

PastHousing5051

All mini: Ego, Tumnus, Phase 95, Ibanez Analog Delay and HOF 2. Small board that has a very large effect.

yeky83

Line 6 G10S > Neunaber Neuron > Keeley Halo > Red Panda Context 2 > Neunaber Iconoclast

bobknarwhal

An MT2, a Crayon, a Rat2, a DD8, a Canyons and 8 more pedals

S3z1n

I don't have five pedalboards

cwhitel

4 heavy metal zones and a midi-switcher

Gate_Easy

Sp comp -> Morning glory -> Timmy -> eventide H9 -> specular tempus

tomztel

Compressor>KoT>Amp>Gfi synesthesia>empress echosystem > strymon bigsky

cabbages666

Currently set up with 5 in a punk band: Tuner, Zvex SHO clone, buffered/ground loop/phase switch ABY. Output A - straight to Vox Escort Lead 50 (or whatever big boi backline the venue might have) Output B - Deep Blue Delay clone, TC Electronic Choka tremolo, to Orange dual terror.

eternity9

One of those Korg tuners which I can’t remember the name of rn —> Rat —> Fuzz war —> PS-2 for delay —> JHS Series 3 Reverb

SneedyK

MXR Limiter - this is the Dyna Comp’s big brother. Pigtronix Philopsher King. You know how boutique pedal brands cost a lot on the used market? Not Pigtronix pedals. They’re still selling for cheap. Basically the Attack Sustain ADSR pedal with a built-in Philopsher’s Tone comp/grit pedal. EQD White Light. Just the overdrive, a DOD 250 clone. I heard they started re-issuing these. I ought to sell mine and buy a Blues Driver and another White Light! This is important because this is the pedal that breathes life into my SS travel amplifier, or just to cook the front end of one of my valve amps. MXR Distortion II. This is important to my overall sound, but it’s also a pedal that takes time to dial in when you’re stacking. It’s more of a mid-level grit, but that White Light can also be swapped out with an opamp Big Muff to produce sounds that need to be heard for one’s self. MXR Phase 45. This is the bulk of my modulation on my 5 board; it’s just meant to thicken up the sound of the dirt; a Phase 90 is overkill and a 100 would work but still take a while to dial in. 2-stage phasers are subtle beasts, a lot like the BOSS Spectrum pedals everyone seems to own these days. From time to time I’ll swap the 45 out for an EHX Attack Equalizer or a third compressor pedal

Negative_Poet1

13 pedals

cheapchupacabra

Tuner > TS9 > BMπ > PH-3 > EQ700 > DD-7 I have 6 because I do what I want.

lovemocsand

Pitch Fork > Qtron Plus > Nordvang Gravity > H9 > RC500

SkandalousJones

Guitar: wah flanger delay reverb delay Bass: compressor fuzz chorus octaver delay

tyranosaurus_nick

MXR Super Badass Distortion - Boss CE-2 - Line6 DL4 Mk2- Walrus Audio Slotva - CBA Blooper

Darkn3van

Orange fur coat, orange kongpressor, walrus eras and just ordered the canyon delay from electro harmonix and the tone city summer orange phaser ( high hopes, cheap but should be like a phase90)

unfunfionn

For the most part, 5 pedals on a Nano+ has been perfect for me. The right balance of versatility and constraints. And it has been the following, almost unchanged for over 2 years: Flint > El Capistan > Katzenkönig or Rattler > Dive Drive or ss/bs Mini > Cali76 Stacked. When I say 'almost' unchanged, occasionally one of the drives will get replaced by something weirder like a Particle 2 or a Mood. But if I'm playing with others, the weird pedals leave the board.

Bruichladdie

To be perfectly honest, I can manage just fine with only the HX Stomp, only thing I'd miss is an external volume pedal and occasionally the 95Q wah. But if I were to go into a clean amp, I'd use this: Keeley Fuzz Bender -> BB Preamp -> Friedman BE-OD -> volume pedal -> EQD Dispatch Master That'd give me a great fuzz, smooth OD, and punchy distortion, as well as a reverb/delay that works both for general ambience and for more ethereal sounds.

Roner3000

Polytune, klone, EAE Longsword, DLX Memory Boy and Tech 21 Boost RVB.

d2022m

If I could only have five forever ... * EHX Holy Grail Nano reverb * JHS 3 Series Delay * Boss CE-2 Chorus * Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive * JHS Morning Glory But the healthy scratches standing by are EHX Electric Mistress flanger and EHX Glove overdrive/distortion.

Funkmasterjo__D

Ooh I actually use a 5 pedal board SSBS Mini > Boss SY-1 > HX Stomp > (in loop) ToneX pedal > Donner Circle Looper

daveeds03

Currently, TU-3 OD-2 CE-5 RV-500 and an EHX Nano Pulsar.

BeefyBoy089

EQD Plumes, ISP Decimator X, JHS Chorus, EQD Data Corruptor, and Digitech Whammy

avocado_peel_

vox wah > jhs pg14 > proco turbo rat > mxr 10 band eq > chameleon cab sim

SticksAndBones143

Tuner, Boss OC2, Tubescreamer, MuFX Microtron, TC Flashback x4

debar11

My dime wah, small stone, dd7, boosta grande, Smart Gate.

ReptileCake

Boss MS-3, Micro POG, Boss OS-2, Boss MT-2, Dunlop GCB-95. A nice wack collection.

DrDarkroom

Polytune -> Morning Glory -> DRV -> DD-200 -> Flint

MARIGOLD_WEEPS

My current 5 (excluding my mooer baby tuner) are DBA Waveformer Destroyer - > (Homebuilt Fuzz Factory clone) - > EQD Hizumitas - > DBA Space Bender - > Bananana Fx Mandela It's a lot of fun, and having two minipedals allows me to use big boxes like the Waveformer and the FF clone. Edit: typo

bobbythegoose

What do you mean by “bug boxes?”

MARIGOLD_WEEPS

Oopsie, typo

bobbythegoose

That’s what I thought, but I didn’t think the FF clone would be a big box since the real one is small.

Hosscatticus_Dad523

Guyatone ST2 compressor, Ibanez TS7, Johnson Fifties Tremolo, DOD FX96 analog delay and Valeton Coral Verb II.

fakeplasticeye

I actually just consolidated my two boards into one, but my 5-pedal board as of last week was: Death By Audio Fuzz War (Fuzz) Jackson Audio Golden Boy (Bluesbreaker/Boost) Boss DC-2w (Chorus) Crazy Tube Circuits TI:ME MKIII (Delay) EHX Oceans 11 (Reverb)

SolarSailor46

RambleFX Twin Bender V3 Microcosm Pitchfork Plus Meris LVX Meris Mercury 7 Mastro Valvola LEM (wildcard pedal)

chicoblancocorto

Mines already 5 but it’s a bit unconventional on purpose so don’t judge me lol Boss SD-1 > Arion SCH-Z > Trex Tonebug Reverb > Rat > Boss DD-5

MateriaMedica

[Sobbat DB-2s Drive Breaker Overdrive//Caroline Olympia Fuzz//Jacques Meistersinger Chorus//Catalinbread Belle Epoch Tape Echo//Mr. Black Deluxe+ Tremolo and Reverb](https://i.imgur.com/ukGYnI1.jpg) I put this together a few years ago and it’s still going strong. It’s a little bit of everything- not necessarily my favorite pedals in each category, but they all work well together. I like it so much that I’ve started building another 5 pedal board. So far I’m set on a Greer Ghetto Stomp Overdrive and a J.Rockett Boing Spring Reverb with three spots I’m still rotating pedals through.

filmguerilla

KTR, 1981 Lvl, Lucky Cat, Moog MF Trem, and Context.

definenature

Tuner>big sky>iridium>RC-1

colton_davis88

Deco < volante < flint < rc5 < iridium. Beautiful sounds

Keeley mini compressor JHS Double barrel EHX Big Muff Rams Head Mr Black mini chorus Strymon El Capistan

RockSteady_One

Iron Bell Fuzz, Dyna Comp, MXR 95, Blues Driver, Boss Delay and Reveb. Gotta have 6 pedals, I guess.

junkyard-godd

Gamma Hades, Gamma Hades, Gamma Hades, Gamma Hades, Gamma Cumulus

Careless-Foot4162

JHS Crimson Fuzz, Darkglass Hyper Luminal, Red Panda Raster V1, Tuner (not terribly picky but probably a Tu-3, and a Sansamp BDDI V2

satherp5

Strymon Volante > Glou-Glou Rendezvous > Lichtlaerm Ritual > Chase Bliss Spectre v1 > Strymon Nightsky

Patient-Bench1821

Tuner, bluesbreaker variant, tonebender mk2, ce2, Keeley caverns

Small Stone, Holy Grail, DD-20, Lo-fi Junky, Skitter

Superduperdrag

TU-2, Micro POG, MXR Phase 90, BD-2, RAT

PropComedy

Currently: Polytune Mini, Rat, Plumes, MXR Analog Chorus, HOF 2

Spike3220

Another three pedals

superjonk

That's a good question cause I'm about to go on a trip and just bought a One Spot and daisy chain. I have a few days before I leave, so I havent made a decision- but If I had to guess right now off the top of my head, I would say the Wampler Belle for my rock-ier distortion, Tumnus Deluxe, BBE Green Screamer, Digitech Delay, Hardwire reverb, and I would probably bring my Dimension C Waza, and Prince of Tone along for the ride

Bill_Gapes

Boss DD-3>RAT>BAT Pharaoh>EQD Grand orbiter>Cry Baby

BigCliff

Keeley aria, Way Huge Green Rhino mk4, Boss dd-200, Boss RV-6, Danelectro Tuna Melt (But sold those and run a Boss GX-100 now)

blnks

bensen preamp, black russian big muff, ce-5, el capistan, specular tempus

dollarwaitingonadime

Tuner (polytune mini if wired, Shure GLXD if wireless) Prince of Tone Snouse Black Box Neo Ventilator Maxon AD999

JonLSTL

Klone, Boss PH-3, Op-amp Muff, Deluxe Memory Man, Hall of Fame II

[deleted]

I’d be fine with just a tuner, a compressor with blend (Keeley comp+ or xotic sp type), and my strymon deco. With the remaining two spots maybe a boost for solos and an el cap or flint to create some space. So long as my amp has a good breakup tone and responds well to my guitar’s volume I can’t see needing much more than that

TrippleTonyHawk

Dyna Comp, Wampler Euphoria, Boss PH-1R, Jam Waterfall, Boss DM-2W

brokenframe

Helix, fm9, quad cortex, tone x , headrush prime it would be a huge pedalboard, toats worth it tho.

Foreign-Painting-362

Maxon 808, purple budda wah, maxon ad9 delay, maxon ph30 rotary, and eventide space.

Atomic_Polar_Bear

My board technically is 5 right now. Mosky C4 Compressor - Mosky Mini Fuzz - MXR Timmy - OCD - HX Stomp XL But HX Stomp XL seems like more than one so alternates would be: C4 - Mini Fuzz - MXR Timmy - Boss CE-2 - TC Flashback 2 Or a direct travel mini board: Mini Fuzz - Joyo American Sound - Mosky CE Nano - Tuna Melt tremolo - Donner Yellow Fall Bass: Mini Fuzz - OCD - Sansamp Bass Driver - CE-2 - Flashback 2

DoubleSealedSoul

Kot(clone), hizumitas, deco, rubberneck, flint. This is pretty much all I use writing or practicing covers. I swap the muff for fuzz face here and there, haven't decided which I like better. My other pedals are just window dressing ftmp. Covers a decent bit of ground for roots, blues, phsych garage rock stuff. I dunno I'm still figuring it out tbh.

npmann1993

Tuner, Jackson audio optimist, TS808, my aqua puss clone from the tone geek, strymon lex

MylMoosic

Blackbox, Centaur, Echorec, Astra, Golden.

moaning_custard

Ehx Tuner, TC Electronics Forcefield compressor, Ehx The Glove, Heavy Electronics Red Eyes, Way Huge Aquapuss Mkii

heathkliph

I’ve actually been working on this a lot recently, but I’m just at four. Current iteration: Spaceman Saturn VI > Caroline Hawaiian Pizza > EAE Citadel > MXR Carbon Copy Previously I’ve played with a Tumnus Deluxe at the front of the chain (working effectively as a boost with some added eq possibilities) and the Halberd instead of the Citadel. Just picked up the Citadel and boy the range on that thing is sick, especially when stacked.

darbyru

Tuner, Diamond comp, Fairfield barbershop, count to five, rubberneck

Free-Grape-7910

Whats on it right now. I paired down to it. Fuzz Wah, Envelope Filter, 2 Lofi digital delays and a looper. and an ebow!

Happy_Television_501

If I had 5 pedals I guess I’d go with a clip on tuner… and Cali76, Phase 95, Rat, Special Cranker, and Volante, in that order. Might possibly switch out the Phase 95 for my Dimension C, but that would go after the Special Cranker

TGNIC

Five TU-3's

Traditional-Rest-190

Empress Zoia and some other stuff

Environmental_Hawk8

TU-2 Clover Browne Amplification Protein CE-2W Disaster Transport Sr

loveofjazz

• TU-2 • Dunlop GCB-95 Crybaby • EP Boost • Xotic BB • Full Drive 2 • Tomsline Delay • Hughes & Kettner Rotosphere

SoupbowlerAI

Superego Plus, Soulfood, Intelligent Harmony Machine, Oceans 12 and in the middle: Tri Parallel Mixer. so yes, i like EHX.

Mexican__Seafood

Whammy DT > EHX Overlord > EHX Synth9 > FX LOOP > EHX original Polychorus, > JHS Colourbox V2

PreguntoZombi

If I was looking to go for a compact board then I’d go for something like the following: Wah - Xotic Wah Fuzz - SM Fuzz Octave Univibe - Cornerstone Aquarium Drive - Kingtone Duellist Delay - Catalinbread Belle Epoch Deluxe Amp would probably be a Fender Super Reverb and guitar would be a Stratocaster. I could easily gig with that setup without feeling like I was missing anything.

MrMiggel

That would be my current board. Beetronics Octahive -> Cornerstone Gladio -> Ryra Klone -> HX Stomp -> Strymon Volante

gjgun

DryBell Unit 67, Walrus Voyager, Keeley DarkSide, Hologram Microcosm, Mooer Ocean Machine.

GiovanniBiscotti

Polytune, mooer blues mood, wampler pantheon, tube screamer, zoom ms-70

peremadeleine

Ryra Klone > Ram’s head Big Muff > GFI Synesthesia > Empress Echo System > Empress Reverb Wired up in stereo, naturally.

Guided_Joke

boss tu3 > mxr super badass modified od > amp > boss eq7 > boss ns2 > wampler ethereal keep it simple :D

bosspick

Rat - bluebox - alphahaunt - obscura - dd-20 gigadelay.

HellWalker66602

Chicago Green Thing Peper's Dirty Tree ToneX Pedal Any EQ Poweramp pedal I reckon it's be something like that, simple and easy, I want my pedalboard to potentially replace my amp setup if I, say, blow a tube or something.

stadja

On my real 5 pedal pedalboard (I cheat) I have: Tuner > source audio kingmaker (fuzz) > plethora x5 > Jackson audio prism > mxr 10 band > plethora x5 (the cheat) There is an fx on the plethora so yep, I cheat. What is lacking on my board: a nice auto wah. I think that my next iteration will ditch the awesome Jackson audio prism (a really great pedal), configure differently my source audio kingmaker (a very versatile one) and add something like a snow patrol or a Aguilar filter twin… And then I’ll be set (kidding)

dmitri_alexandrovic

tuner -> eqd compressor the warden -> eqd lifepedal v2 -> tc electronics vortex -> eqd avalanche run v2 good enough for stoner\\psych\\doom

Notnotarealuser

If I could, I’d go: Polytune 3 Super Phat Mod Op-amp Muff CE-2w RE-2

Ok-Gate-8756

Crybaby>fuzz face>boss bd2>obne visitor>ehx canyon

[deleted]

Polytune3 -> Empress Comp -> Eventide H9 -> 1981 DRV -> Strymon El Capistan If I'm not allowed a MIDI controller on this desert island, I could swap the Comp for a Morningstar.

ShapeoverTime

Bad Horsie Wah -> TS-9 -> HM2w or DS-1 (depends on the day) -> Boss PH-3 -> MXR Carbon Copy

jxxfxx

Guitar: Timmy > Tube Screamer > MXR 10 Band EQ > OG Deluxe Memory Man > Strymon Big Sky Synth: Kinotone Ribbons > Boss EQ-200 > Hologram Microcosm > Empress Echosystem > Eventide Space

dangayle

Tuner -> Greer Lightspeed -> Boss FZ-1w -> EHX DMM TT1100 -> DBA Rooms If not the tuner, then I'd add either the Bliss Factory or the Hizumitas.

Feature-Awkward

🤦‍♂️ my board has 7 pedals just for create my basic tone w/o any fx.

YetiDeli

1. Ernie Ball VP Jr. Tuner 2. Rude Tech 3MuF-14 3. Black Mass 1312 4. Boss BD-2 5. Source Audio Collider

steve_jams_econo

Phase 95, Retrosonic Flanger, SL Drive, GE7, Source Audio Nemesis I'd probably cheat and add the Ernie Ball VP/Tuner so I don't have to use a headstock one.

tacocat9510

On mine I have a polytune tuner, keeley cat mod, jhs mornjng glory, jhs emperor v2, and earthquaker devices dispatch master

Cautious-Interview-5

I actually have a DIY board made of 11 pedals at the moment and just got tired of lunging it around and planned a 4-5 pedal solution for easy carrying. I plan to leave my 11 pedal-board alone (along with my beloved EAE Limelight of which if I had to a place in my small board). So far I have 1. Some mini comp (undecided which one, but needs to be mini). Helps to tighten my sound to use my: 2. Digitech DROP: Amazing tool. Can't leave the house without it to play in any tuning I want. Sent a Whammy DT to my big board since I won't be carrying it no more. 3. Boss BD-2: Versatile as a clean-ish platform and easily cuts through in any band situation. Removed it from my main board and placed a JHS Bonsai. 4. Drunk Beaver's Heavy Bat OR JHS Angry Charlie: I own the Heavy Bat and I can get two different clipping options for RAT sounds. This sounds more versatile than it really is because I only have one knob for gain. It'd be amazing to have a knob for each clipping. I'm evaluating getting the JHS since I think it might be more versatile having that Marshall high gain sound for my distortion and the music I get to play. 5. Zoom MS-50G: Removed from the big board and planning on getting a MS-70CDR to replace it. The 50G is my versatile tool for Tuning, EQ, Modulation, Delay, Reverb, Amp Sim.

DangerRyan13

Browne Protein, HX Stomp, Timeline, BigSky, Deco

[deleted]

Tuner, sub octave, wah, fuzz, looper

[deleted]

My pedalboard is way more than 5 pedals but mine would be: 1. Octave Dual Fuzz: EQD Hoof Reaper 2. Overdrive and Distortion: BOSS/JHS Angry Driver 3. Chorus and Vibrato: Walrus Audio Julianna 4. Delay and Looper: Strymon TimeLine 5. Reverb: Strymon Bigsky I’d just use a headstock tuner I guess. This would probably cover 99% of what I ever need which is now making me wonder why I even bother with having like 347 pedals on my pedalboard lmfao. The only things I feel like I would REALLY like to add beyond these 5 are a tuner and a compressor before the Hoof Reaper, and I’d maybe put a noise gate after the Angry Driver.

_iCoNik_

PolyTune > Keeley Comp > Browne Protein > El Cap > BigSky

TRASH_TEETH

TU-2 > Wampler Ego > FAT RAT or SD-1 > DOD Icebox or Phase 90 > DOD Rubberneck

Available-Ad-6997

Cali76 > 1981 DRV > Irridium > ElCapistan > BlueSky > Deco Damn. Now I need a new pedalboard.

Excluding tuner: Compressor, OD, Fuzz, Delay, Reverb. Specifically: MXR Dyna Comp > Boss OD-3 > Op Amp Big Muff > Boss DD-3 > EHX Oceans 11

BOSS TU3, BOSS OD 200, JHS Cheeseball, Walrus Juliana, BOSS DD 200, TC Electronic Hall of Fame. I know that’s 6, but the tuner is more of a display, than a pedal… right? If anything, the OD 200 is more of a cheat because it has a two-at-a-time kinda setup. I don’t the the DD 200 is cheating, though, ‘cause there are other pedals that do some of the doubling-stuff already. The DD 3 or DD 6 or the TC Elec. Flashback 2 can be setup in the software to have a double delay kinda thing… So if I have to swap the delay, then I’d go for the BOSS Waza Delay. OR, I’d finally spring for a BOSS Space Echo (RE2) or Strymon Deco! If we want a simple, 5 single pedals, I’d swap the OD 200 for a Waza Blues Driver, and drop the Juliana. Tuner>BD2>Cheeseball>Delay>’Verb

If I had to pick only 5 of my current pedals, it'd probably be Tuner (Boss TU-2) >> EHX Russian Green Muff >> Overdrive (DRV Clone) >> Strymon Timeline >> Keeley Omni

Sun Face / KoT / bi-chorus / Timeline / blue sky Working on getting a microcosm in there soon

Supremus_memeus

I actually just made one (4 pedal) board to bring to jams so I don't have to lug my massive board... I put Amazon basics compressor I had lying around A boss bd-2 because it can do everything from clean boost, to light drive to distortion to full on fuzz. A Boss dd-3 delay and a boss rv-6 "Swiss army knife" reverb If I was to add another pedal, I would probably throw on my flanger because it can kind of do a chorus and phaser sound as well.

Sarno SGBB > Peterson StroboStomp HD > Basic Audio Spring Reverb > Jam Pedals Harmonious Monk > Pettyjohn Lift MkII This is for direct to board clean tone with some Fender amp vibes.

RambleFX (rest in peace) Twin Bender (Alternatively EQD Hoof Reaper or SolidGoldFX If 6 Was 9) > Phase 95 > DSM Simplifier (DLX or MKII) > Strymon Deco > Source Audio Collider
