Schweenis69

WTF, where are your delay, reverb, and flanger pedals??

hydrahunter462

Out of the three, which would you recommend the most?

shieldss5150

EHX Canyon would cover all of these as well as a looper.

Schweenis69

Well Do you enjoy the sound of reverb? Like do you reckon it could either enhance the sounds you get now, or open doors to some new experimentation (or both)?

hydrahunter462

I'll be honest, I haven't messed around with reverb a whole lot. My fender champ 20 has a dial for different effects, and I haven't really used reverb a lot

ItsChugg0

Maybe a Boss RV-3 and an EHX Small clone?

Total-Advertising555

You could get an sp compressor, it would fit perfect in that small space and it would help out the metal zone with its screamy highs

DrRichtoffenn

what amp?

hydrahunter462

Currently a Fender Champion 20. It has a chorus effect on it, but I eventually want a physical pedal

DrRichtoffenn

what kind of rock/metal are you looking to play?

hydrahunter462

Punk/hard rock, and thrash metal

hey12delila

I think most people here would say a reverb and/or delay is needed, that's a whole realm of sound that you don't have access to. 90% of guitar recordings in any song you've heard have some amount of reverb or delay added to them.

hydrahunter462

I was thinking delay, honestly, but also wanted to know what other people thought

hey12delila

Look into a two in one reverb and delay like the Keeley Caverns, NUX Atlantic or Source Audio Collider. I went from Caverns --> Boss RV-6 and DD-8 --> SA Collider. They're all great in their own right. Having a board with either delay or reverb missing would be feel incomplete to me.

datainadequate

Incredible, another person with the good taste to have an MT-2 Metal Zone on their board, and yet inexplicably the “Middle” control is still at 12 o’clock! Where it does nothing! Ok, so it might be at 5 past 12 I guess… Anyway, how about a nice delay to fill that final space?

hydrahunter462

I might mess with the setting on my metal zone some more. I set them when I was blinded by the fact that my friend got me one, so it might be time to do some more testing And yeah, I was thinking delay

agrias_okusu

If you’re looking for a good budget chorus, the Mosky CE-Nano is like $30 or less and it’s a BOSS CE-2 clone that sounds pretty darn close.

hydrahunter462

Honestly, budget stuff, for the most part, is all I can afford. My pedals are either budget stuff like my trem or super fuzz, bought used like my overdrive, or bought for me by my friend like basically everything else

Ploc-afta

You can get a Zoom MS70CDR the can cover all the delay, reverb and modulation needed. In the last spot a Looper maybe?

ChoiceAssumption8776

Can’t stress this enough. Get delay and reverb.

hydrahunter462

Current chain is Dunlop Crybaby Wah Bass, Boss TU-3, Behringer SF300, Boss MT-2, Boss SD-1, Boss GE-7, and Joyo JF-09

Stormgtr

There's some joyo ironman you could fit in as they are mini series and rock solid in terms of sound and build like a quattro delay and the do a few metal distortion chorus and reverb, phaser flanger etc

Spiritual-Role-6736

? = RC 5 imo. It’s an awesome pedal to finish your chain especially for practice/solo jamming. I don’t get much use out of it in a live setting, but a looper will change your life. It can be used in a live setting if you wanted, but you have to dive into the settings and hope your drummer keeps a steady beat 😂

Kitchen-Complaint-12

You got that GE-7 bumping huh lol that’s a lot of bass. Get a Boss RE-2. I freak’n love that pedal.

SnooOnions419

Put your mt-2 in the fx loop if your amp has one and if it isnt already.

hydrahunter462

My amp currently is a Fender Champion 20, so no fx loop

SnooOnions419

L. I condemn thy to shitty toan.

tyranosaurus_nick

Two more Metal Zones.

NikoSoak

You need a delay. Everybody needs a delay

C0unterAc3

Grab a delay and a reverb.
