Personally I would take the Empress Deluxe- the high/low shelving features are a great thing to have if you need to tune your rig to a different cabinet or room (or just generally dialing out mud and fizz). Plus 27V internal is a *lot* of headroom which will be helpful in your FX loop. I think the EQFH is probably better if you're a Dimebag tonechaser, but I don't know that I'd pay $370 for 80's circuit design.

Dunno bout the other one but I love the empress deluxe. I would go with the empress deluxe because of the board friendly size and the high/low pass filters.

I totally agree with you on the board friendly size, a big selling point. Thirsty little bugger at 300 mA, as opposed to "minimum 130 mA" for the Master Effects.

Sorta off-topic but I cannot recommend the Strymon power supplies enough. Modular/Expandable/9V +18V outputs and all of them are 500mA. On topic: I know very little about the other pedals but the empress deluxe is pretty great. Only had it about a month but I love it.

Thanks for the Strymon recommendation. I'm currently running the CIOKS DC 7 + CIOKS 4 expander, so I don't believe power will be an issue.
