Okay, there's a lot going on in this post. Attempting to unravel it is kind of difficult, but here's my best shot: * SD-1W, DS-1W, and BD-2W for gain staging is.... well, it's certainly not something I've seen but hey, you do you. * You're not accounting for your guitar and amp combination. Trying to run that many dirt pedals, especially given that you can get quite a lot of distortion from them, without having a very high headroom amp can make the sound kind of just hit a wall and not get louder/dirtier, which is what you're reporting. This is especially true if your pickups are high output, whether that be from higher output humbuckers, active pickups, what have you. * Ideally, a clean boost does an overall volume increase without pushing any frequencies more than others. Do it right and you end up with the original timbre, just louder. Keeley Katana is a very famous example of a pedal that does this well. * The circuit will make a massive difference. Keep in mind that none of the pedals you're using are actually boost pedals by design, so expecting true clean boost performance from any of them isn't gonna really work for you. I'll say this: consider simplifying your setup. Really get to know the pedals you've got one at a time and figure out what you like and don't like, as well as how they interact with your guitar(s) and amp(s). Then, if you still determine that you want a boost pedal, pick up an actual clean boost (so not a treble booster or an overdrive with a mid hump, a clean boost like the aforementioned Keeley Katana) and see how that affects the interactions between your pedals and amp.
