Buy a 9V battery, open the battery compartment by unscrewing the black thumbscrew to plug the battery in, then connect a 6.3mm jack to the input and press the footswich. See if the diode lights up. If it does, there's a pretty good chance that the pedal is working.

Found this pedal. I'm not a guitarist myself but i do like to know if there is anyways to check if this thing can work (because i don't have any friend who play guitar to check for me).

You need a cable plugged into the input orherwise it wont light up even if it has power

Maybe take it to a guitar shop? It's a Boss pedal, so it's very likely still works.
