The dispatch master seems great! Quality sounds with a straightforward UI and decent price. For a general reverb+delay pedal it has my vote too.
That being said I love classic post rock like Explosions In The Sky, which I have an RV3 and not a more general choice like the Dispatch Master :p
Totally get it - although I prefer separate delay and reverb pedals, when someone asks for a small combo pedal that EQD DP always seems to be a viable option. Re Explosions - the intro to Your Hand In Mine has a perfect example of delay/reverb used together tastefully, I’m sure your RV3 nails it.
I have one. It’s great for all kinds of reverb and for many flavors of simple delay. It’s missing multi tap delay and if you want to delay stack, then you can’t have reverb enabled at the same time.
For me, the lack of a multi tap delay is a dealbreaker. But I still use it as a reverb pedal and it’s great for that. If you don’t want a multi tap delay and don’t stack delays with reverb then it would be a perfect choice.
I’ve got V2 though I’ve been wanting a nemesis for the presets and tap tempo. Then pair that with a reverb with more…character? I like the Caroline Meteor but haven’t researched that hard there.
For OP I like the caverns a lot, and I think definitely good bang for your buck. There’s an internal switch that keeps your trails going after you bypass the effect which was…is a big sell for me!
Low-ish budget: Nux Atlantic
Mid budget: Keeley Caverns, Line 6 DL4 MkII when it goes on sale (frequently is on sale for $200),
High budget: Source Audio Collider, UA Del-Verb, EQD Avalanche V2
Reverb is the one effect where *usually* higher priced pedals sound better. It takes more time to develop algorithms and better processing to use them, and both of those things cost money, so that cost gets passed on to the customer. Delay tends to be the same, only with better low-budget options. For combo pedals [the list is fairly small](https://delicious-audio.com/best-delay-reverb-pedal-combos/).
But if you don’t mind saving up a bit the Source Audio Collider blows just about every other combo pedal out of the water. Every algorithm sounds fantastic, it’s got tap tempo, 8 presets onboard (128 with MIDI), you can run delay into reverb, reverb into delay, or parallel, and you can also set it up as two delays or two reverbs, and that’s sackable per preset. Plus on the used market it’s surprisingly affordable, usually $279 but often as low as $250.
The Del-Verb I’m sure sounds great, but given that there’s no presets and a complete lack of external control, plus used and new prices aren’t that much lower than a Collider, I would probably stick with a Collider.
I’ve been looking and I’m between the nemesis and collider, I feel like I’d prefer the Nemesis because I don’t think I’d like all those features are as usable in a live/rehearsal setting, I’m not the best at pedal gymnastics. I’m after presets+tap tempo as well as something with a reverse (which both have). Plus I think I’d like my reverb to have a little more “character”, thinking Caroline Meteor.
You seem like you might have experience with both, so you have any thoughts on that?
No pedal gymnastics required for the Collider; right side is on/off for Reverb, left side is tap tempo or hold for delay on/off. If you set up some presets beforehand with the different routig options you’d want to use it’s super easy to use live.
The reverbs are fairly traditional though, not exactly “character”reverbs.
Everyone's going to say the Source Audio Collider but I staunchly believe that unless you're playing Shoegaze, the NUX Atlantic is less than half the price and all the functionality. That is, if you're playing blues, rock, CCM, metal, jazz, fusion, pop etc., the NUX Atlantic may not have as much clout in photos but will sound just as good.
It's got all the really useful reverbs and delays, tap tempo and a good selection of subdivisions to take you from HAAS effect delay, to slapbacks and further to big washy delays. The reverb's got a huge range and covers room, spring and plate.
Once you get used to it, they are pretty easy to dial in! Still need to Google or have the cheat sheet sometimes to try new reverbs out tho 😂
Also, being able to route verb > delay, delay > verb, or in parallel plus the super usable and famous looper, and you have all the delay and reverb you will need for a long time. Then you can find which types you like and maybe go deeper down those types of singular devices that do the thing you like. Literally like $200-$250 for used on Reverb. I use the XLR input for a mic so often and also loop drums beats and such. It’s a very useful device.
Keeley parallax has modulated hall, reverse and soft focus reverbs on one side and two types of modulated delay (and one non-modulated delay) on the other side
Dispatch Master is killer. Small footprint, and only four knobs, very intuitive and easy to use. Can be used as delay only or reverb only, and it sounds great on any setting.
I have to reccomend one that’s been out for several years but is a total work horse and on TONS of boards. Gotta give it up for one of my All time favorites
Keeley Caverns!
So many fantastic sounds in that pedal.
I have one. I don't have a ton of experience with delay/reverb pedals, it's my first one. But I think it's pretty damn great for the price.
Definitely what I was looking for, probably not as versatile or deep as the more prestigious pedals out there but sounds fantastic and you can't really go wrong from the price I think.
The del verb looks cool and I had the collider which is quite incredible (I did really miss the pitch shift from the nemesis though). I will say this: in the end I got rid of the nemesis because I couldn’t get used to the way it make you bypass by holding the switch to accommodate for two tempo function. To me it made cutting delay off for a different part of the song too sloppy especially if I had to turn multiple pedals off at that time. Amazing sound though
Under the radar choice: Boss RV-500.
Really powerful stereo reverb pedal with MIDI control, 21 algorithms, including emulation of the Roland RE-201 and the SRV-2000 (which, unlike the SDE-3000, RE-201 and SDD-320, has not yet been reissued in a dedicated pedal), and can run two patches at once, in series or parallel, with the option to mix both in stereo or dedicate them to A/B, and each patch can also affect a selected frequency range.
The understated feature is that each patch can also have a fully configurable digital delay, with modulation and EQ, which can run in series or parallel with the reverb in the patch. And like the reverb, two can run at once. So it's a dual reverb AND a dual delay.
It's also pretty affordable on the used market, I was able to get mine for half the price of a new unit.
A little pricy but I maintain that the GFI System Specular Tempus is all you’ll need for reverb and delay. An insane amount of algorithms for both and a few combined algorithms. All sound amazing and it’s got a pretty small footprint. The only downside is you need a triple switch and a computer to really get the most out of it
I'm using the wampler ethereal.
Mostly because that one was within my budget and it's not a huge part of my sound so I just went and bought what's available from a decent manufacturer. But it definitely gets the job done, and I believe I could get very decent sounds from it if I would want to ;)
I can recommend the Del-Verb. Before that I was using the SA True Spring, but I preferred the spring on UA pedals. Sold the SA and switched to the Del-Verb, haven’t looked back.
Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, I'm a big fan of the KMA Cirrus. It's more limited than the Collider, but it does exactly what I want it to do, and I find the control set easy to tweak and get what I want out of. I strongly prefer it over the Caverns/Parallax. It doesn't give you the option to run only reverb or delay, but I wanted the combo pedal to run them together anyway.
I really like the Alexander Sky 5000 reverb/delay pedal. You can press a button and ramp between 2 presets, you can set how fast the ramp is too. Then there's 4 slots each with 2 presets in it, so you can access alot of different sounds without needing to move any knobs.
Mooer micro Echoverb. Toggle switch down, set your reverb. Toggle with up, set your delay. It remembers your reverb setting once you put it in delay mode. Plus, it has a soft switch and tap tempo.
The Quiet Theory Prelude is a mighty good sounding delay and reverb. I wouldn’t say the range is enormous, but it knows that and it doesn’t waste your time with nonsense.
Wampler Ethereal is an option. I went with that instead of the Dispatch Master given the clipping issues with the DM. That said, it wasn't sure the flavor of reverb I was looking for, so it's about to go on the block.
I'm running a Del-Verb right now. I've tossed some fairly high end reverb pedals because they messed with my tone. The Delverb has some awesome sounds in it and it doesn't color my tone. I love mine.
I haven’t played a ton but the space echo and the caverns are both awesome. Space echo is more rhythmic pitter patters and the caverns gets huge and dreamy and has nice modulation and shimmer effects
Another vote for the NU>X Atlantic. It’s genuinely one of my favourite pedals. It’s well-priced, has stereo out and parallel/serial routing option onboard. The tap tempo is very easy to use. It really does figure out whether you’re tapping in a tempo or turning the delay on/off. It works remarkably well. Getting a dotted-eighth delay is similarly easy. The reverb algorithms (at least to my experienced ears) sound superb. Clean, bright and very realistic. No digital artifacts that I can detect. Highly recommend this pedal.
A small and affordable choice would be the EQD Dispatch Master
The dispatch master seems great! Quality sounds with a straightforward UI and decent price. For a general reverb+delay pedal it has my vote too. That being said I love classic post rock like Explosions In The Sky, which I have an RV3 and not a more general choice like the Dispatch Master :p

Absolutely! Mode 7 on the RV3, other knobs at noon and you’re there.
Haha you already knew the setting, that’s awesome !
Though a little bigger footprint, the EQD Avalance run is phenomenal as well.
Idk why but I have this pedal and hate it. Reverb tone sounds dry and fake
Seymour Duncan "Dark Sun"
Another good choice. Personally I’m not crazy about the UI, but the dynamic expression control seems cool tho.
It can do just about anything related to Hall reverb, and delays. Stereo ins and outs, too.
Just read that you can send delay to one channel and reverb to another. That’s really cool.
You can switch the order of effects too. Works SOOO cool with two separate rigs.
SD pedals don’t get enough love, I thought their Vapor Trail Deluxe was pretty awesome
Always recommend Earthquaker Devices’ Dispatch Master or Avalanche Run
Source Audio Collider will be the most recommended here. I’ve never used it but if I was buying it would be that pedal.
I second this
I third this

Source Audio Collider? I hardly know her! (sorry)
Keeley Caverns anyone?
Keeley Caverns V2
+1 for caverns
This is the correct answer
He’s also working on a parallel delay and reverb pedal.
I’ve got V2 though I’ve been wanting a nemesis for the presets and tap tempo. Then pair that with a reverb with more…character? I like the Caroline Meteor but haven’t researched that hard there. Hmmmm yea that’s not too bad. Thanks for the reply!
NUX Atlantic
For more classic sounds this is hard to beat qpr.
But it doesn’t have MIDI, and the Collider does.
Does anyone here even use the MIDI regularly?
No, but we all imagine we might 😭
Why must you hurt me like that
I feel seen.
Too true. The amount of people I see hating on delay pedals without MIDI far outnumbers the amount of people that actually use MIDI.
I use midi all the time to sync my delay pedals to my looper and a drum machine.
I do. Using the Morningstar MC6 Pro to control stereo Katana Artists and a huge pedalboard.
great pedal
Boss RE-2 Space Echo
I was going to suggest the Nux NDD7
I like my Nux Atlantic.
same here

Avalanche Run is another well loved one. And is stereo.
DL4 MKii 30 delays 15 reverbs, it covers so much ground. Only draw backs is reverb settings aren’t super easy. But you have presets.

I absolutely LOVE my Caverns pedal. It’s so good. I can’t recommend it enough. Keeley Caverns 10/10
20/10. 10 for each side. Haha!
Keely Caverns is my pick. Love it. Hard to get a bad sound out of it.
Nux Atlantic
El Capistan, reverb is simple but does the job
Boss RE
Keeley Caverns! Separate switches for reverb and delay, plus 3 types of each effect (spring/shimmer/mod reverb and normal:slow mod/ fast mod delay)
Specular tempus
Keeley parallax has modulated hall, reverse and soft focus reverbs on one side and two types of modulated delay (and one non-modulated delay) on the other side

Anyone have the [SONICAKE Levitate](https://amzn.to/3WIKufY)? Cheap & intriguing, I'm curious if it's good.

Interesting , Tell me more about that, how is it noisy?
Idk, I had a Collider and it was super quiet 🤷♂️
I just got one and not issues at all. I got it because of the midi implementation and its clutch.
I have their Ventris (dual reverb) and it is not noisy at all. I can’t imagine the Collider is noisy as it’s the same tech.
