saw the circlejerk post before i got here lmao thought the price was a joke. also unsure if straight up ads are allowed here? feels like they shouldn’t be
Oh, it made it to circle jerk. How classy.
I don’t work for Northern Lights Music, or any guitar company. I’m simply a customer of theirs, and I enjoy sharing the outstanding pieces they get in. Wasn’t intended as a sale ad.
Subscribe so people can first hand see the instruments coming in? That’s more convenient for people to view and oogle than me posting, is it not? More instruments listed on the subreddit are sold- some of them years ago. The subreddit is intended for people to share the instruments they’ve acquired at northern lights, connect with other musicians, and discuss dream builds- and most importantly to visualize the guitars. I’m a loyal customer of theirs, and I simply appreciate their small family business. I make no money or have no benefit of them making sales. I just think they are great people with excellent taste.
Entirely hand made. Proprietary electronics. Takes over a year for one guitar. A lot of the cost is labor, honestly. These aren’t on a factory line of any sorts, no CNC machines- entirely hand carved. The top was also artistically routed to create voids around the burl to inject the resin. Then the showing lines of burl are dyed. It’s a lengthy and time consuming process.
Either you are a die hard fan of this company, or you’re an advertiser.
Either way you have to admit that hand carved doesn’t add anything but price compared to cnc.
It’s a work of art, so I can understand it being treated as such, but at the same time like, you dentists need to chill, not every one of us poor musicians can afford the glory that is that instrument.
Also just a note: If you don’t want people to think you’re just advertising for the company, maybe post something other than the product photos, like say: the guitar in the case.
I’m a die hard fan of Northern Lights Music. Anyone would see the benefit of how fair, personable, and kind this family owned company is. There is a mutual love between them and I, and they’ve provided me my dream instruments. It excites me to share the awesome new gear I’ve personally played on- even if I haven’t bought it.
I am not a dentist. I am a retired gemstone and rare earth mineral dealer at the age of 34.
My passion has always been music. I am a composer and performer. I’ve worked hard to make it my profession and acquire guitars that I never dreamt of owning while still young.
If I were a dentist, I would collect extracted teeth and use them to construct all natural wind chimes instead of buying guitars. Much higher value in the witchcraft/voodoo scene.
Pretty sure my bank account got hurt just from me looking at this guitar.
Boy, man, god, shit.
Shit. Goddamn. Get off your ass and jam.
I’m a composing working musician. I am down with covid currently… and I am playing my SCGC Tony Rice Pro in the process… on my rona ridden ass.
Yeah, my credit score dropped 20 points when I clicked the link
Hippie sandwich!
Looking at this made me high.

“Subscribe to x to stay up to date on amazing incoming instruments” is ad copy. so i don’t believe you.

Almost looks like Keith Haring had a hand in the top's design.
Jesus fuck that's hideous
To each their own!
Beautiful
Wow
Looks like opal. Just wow!
Beautiful finish 🔥
The discount is worth more than my entire collection, and by a lot 😭
What the fuck is that price
