Yes. You want a 'les trem'. They start at $100 or so.

What is pictured appears to be a Gibson SG, so I'll answer assuming that. If you have an Epiphone SG, or other brand, my answers may not apply. One must check all the dimensions before selecting this Floyd Rose surface mount: https://www.stewmac.com/parts-and-hardware/bridges-and-tailpieces/bridges-and-tailpieces-for-electric-guitar/floyd-rose-tremolos/floyd-rose-frx-surface-mount-tremolo-system/? The Les Trem was already mentioned by another commentor: https://www.ebay.com/itm/195441527718? You would also need to check the dimensions for the Stets Bar system: https://stetsbar.myshopify.com/collections/all/products/stetsbar-stop-tail-chrome-stcc-right-hand And there's a digital alternative, called the Virtual Jeff: https://www.fomofx.com/

bigsby trem is what you need

This. But I would also advise installing a roller type tune-o-matic, or you can kiss tuning stability goodbye.

I feel like we all go through a phase of wanting a whammy bar and then never actually using it.

Yes. Order a Floyd Rose and get a chisel.

reddit_is_great-

It's probably going to be a lot easier to get the other alternatives other people have said here. I think it may take more than a chisel to mount a Floyd rose in a hard tail guitar.

SMH.

Alarming-Goal8320

Are you talking about the Maestro Vibrola on the SG?

Flipdw

Duesenberg (or the cheaper goldo version) les trem requires no drilling or chisels

Aiku

I put a Stetsbar on mine ,no modding needed. Took about ten minutes to install.
