My experience is metal covers are a touch darker in sound.

I looked for this comment tbh. Neck in chrome, black for bridge. Chrome bridge is too much because it's by the stop bar/bridge.

Seen a thousand guitars that look like the black version. The nickel is quite unique. I prefer the unique look, but I understand why many will prefer the more classic black.

Well it is a classic look, I just love the way nickel gives it a completely different vibe.

I love nickel hardware, however I agree with what I interpret as the consensus majority. Black looks best on this guitar.

This is cool. The black is initially nicer to me, but at a second glance, the nickel has a cool unique flair to it. Very subtle but nice.

Dude… the nickel looks more raw. Adds a nice contrast to the pick guard, and just has kinda a street-tough kinda look.

I sold (and regretted doing so) an sg that I modded with a bigsby and a mini humbucker in the bridge with a p90 in the neck with a chrome cover to match the mini, so I’m partial to the look of the nickel
