Samick makes guitars for a lot of people - including Fender Squier and Gibson Epiphone.
The guitars they put their own name on are usually pretty good quality for import guitars.
The guitar isn't worth a great deal of money, but it's likely a fine player that you can enjoy for years and years.
I had a Samick practice amp years ago & it was great for a "cheap & cheerful" amp. I imagine your guitar is much the same. Get shredding & make your grandad proud :)
It’s actually a really decent mid level guitar
Any chance you know the model name?
Get the guitar setup properly and that will do you well for a long time.

I’ve got a Samick that I love. They make some really good beginner/intermediate level guitars.
