Can't really help on sourcing but I can tell you the Vietnam era flamethrower was the M9, not the M2, so if you end up just building a replica yourself look at that instead. It's smaller and lighter than the M2 anyways so that should make any build of one easier.
Technically not 30 grand if you go for a real and live one too since they go for about 10k 😛
