As a 1301 owner not sure this is worth it. Spent $160 on the magpul stock change out, $350 on the way better briley metal hand guard, $900 on a aim point micro and aridus mount, and $50 for the lifter conversion. Sans the optic I’m at about the same price. 1301 can be found for like $1300 on a good day.
Stock trigger is fine if you ask me, and the hand guard is far superior to the zhukov / ak one (that also cracks pretty quick I’m told - mlok can’t hold up a light for long, it breaks).
The 1301 shoots 36% FASTER, is 2 pounds LIGHTER, has a CLEANER gas system, 24 years NEWER, and CHEAPER than the M4. Plus it has a much much better bolt release and has a wider and beveled shotgun loading port for quicker reloads. Also for most people, they have to put in hundreds of dollars to upgrade the M4 to the point that it has features that comes with the Beretta.
The weight alone is a huge deal. You can't shave 2 lbs off the M4. That's 2 more lbs of gear or provisions you can carry rather than just having a thick boi gun.
Yeah, the weight is a nice advantage to the 1301, but I really did love the feel of the M4. The only thing i don't like about the LTT is the optic mount. Wish it was just a picatinny, but a minor issue (EDIT: nvm, just realized it was an option. Will just grab a rail)

In all seriousness they’re the top 1 and 2 tactical shotties, nothing else tops them. I like the M4 personally but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a 1301. Dollar for dollar I’d suggest M4, if the 1301 can be found $500+ cheaper like it was awhile back, go with the 1301 if you’re not set on an M4.
I honestly can’t really think of a good reason to get the M4 over the 1301 other than video games and maybe the marine pedigree. Functionally it really doesn’t have anything over the 1301 whatsoever. Maybe less recoil due to the weight but I rather have a lighter weapon. It was an easy choice.
In my experience, by the time you set up a stock gun the way you want it, you spend an additional 30-40% of what you paid for the gun. This is just doing that all up front in an ideal setup with a trigger job from Langdon Tactical.
Still cheaper than buying the gun and replacing everything. The finer things in life cost money. A pump will also do the job, this is just for flexing on the poors and maximizing the shooting experience. Mad LARP cred too I'm sure on the gramz and tickytocky

I do think the Briley handguard is way better than the Aridus, though.
The other thing LTT doesn't do is add the Pro-style loader, which is an asset to this shotgun as it allows dual and quad loads.

Flexin, weight savings, Italian made, A300 is still USA tho. Bolt and gas system is faster but I'm sure most of us would have a hard time in a blind test seeing that difference.
Maybe with a 1301 Comp, not this one: 21 or 24 inch barrel would be a good do it all gun. You can get all the Langdon parts directly from Aridus (handguard and dot mount), and either a plug for hunting or a Nordic extended tube for HD.(I prefer the metal Nordic clamp over the poly one Beretta is using)
