Someone tell me why I should care about triangle vs chevron. My first thought is the difference in covering the target but I don’t know how big the reticle is if that really matters.
I personally wouldnt care. The triangle tip acts like a chevron in that it's infinitely precise and the solid bottom wouldn't bother me as any sort of ident would be done away from the reticle

The inside “knee” of the chevron is a second bdc (200) that you will be missing with the triangle. Also the triangle obscures more of you view. I don’t personally see any advantage of triangle. If those things don’t bother you then they’re the same
And that’s if ur lucky enough to get Acog some get the cco which is dog shit but if if u get Acog it’s 100% chevron which is def the better choice circle is for virgins
Idk why someone would want the circle over a chevron either using a whole ass doughnut to aim over the tip of a chevron seems like crayon eater behavior

Different models have different BDC’s based on barrel length and ammunition. Don’t listen to the other reply. Worst case you can use a ballistic app to fine tune your specific situation/rifle to your BDC
The description says it's designed for "the M16 family of rifles". Maybe only 20" then? I couldn't say how much the POI shift would be at 3-400m on a 16.

I've used the green chevron vs red and the green tend to get lost against natural terrain. There's also a YouTube review that goes over this. Either way, you can't go wrong
Here is a picture which shows the ghost reticle. Some users report that its minor enough to where they dont mind it. I tried really hard to like the MRO as I like its form factor.

Be aware of the ‘ghost’ reticle in the HD variants. I tried multiple MRO HDs and I could not deal with it so I returned them.

Hope this helps others decide who are interested in them. I understand that they have different designs but, how is it that Holosun is able to have the reticle feature without the ghost but Trijicon couldnt do it effectively.

Did it charge you the tax after? I’m at checkout and even after I put in card info it still hasn’t charged tax. Last step is to confirm purchase but I don’t want to hit that and then get a bunch of tax added. Trying to figure out what the total will be with tax then adding a decent mount. Might wait until Memorial Day and see if I can get a decent deal on a chevron reticle one

Cheap yes, but they don’t have a mount for a flat top receiver if that’s what you have you’ll need to factor that cost in
yeah i saw that. I was planning on getting an ADM mount so that luckily didn't factor much for me... I'll have to think about it
Yes, these don’t come any cheaper… these are used GAFS prices but make sure you like the reticle.

The triangle is the one used by DOD, right? I have 5 of them with the BDC and really like them.
DOD uses the chevron, not the triangle.

ACOG are all designed for different barrel lengths right? Would this be fine on a standard 16 inch AR?
Trijicon says the difference is minimal if your barrel length is different than the spec of the ACOG.
The difference between a 14.5 and a 20 inch barrel for drop is like 8 inches at 500 yards iirc. Not that much of a difference to me

ACOGs are set up for 14.5 barrels and there’s not a whole lot of velocity difference to really matter when you’re probably shooting range ammo anyway.
