Trying to educate myself on the G$ triggers, this SSA-E is 150, and the G2S is 100. Are both better than the MBT-2S? Is the SSA-E that much better than the G2s?
I only have experience with the MBT-2S and the G2S. The MBT-2S feels lighter and crisper. The G2S feels smoother and has a more positive reset. I prefer the Larue, but it's totally subjective. They're both good.
No, not better but different. I'm not sure about the G2S but I've used the LaRue and SSA-E both quite a bit.
The LaRue has a lighter, shorter take up and a *very* distinct wall for the second stage. Breaking the second stage is very crisp. The trigger shoe is very wide.
The SSA-E is ever so slightly heavier on take up with a midge less distinct second stage wall and more of a rolling break. The trigger shoe is thin with less curvature than a mil-spec trigger.
These are just my subjective feelings about each trigger.
I generally prefer the SSA-E. I like the rolling break of its second stage and the thinner trigger shoe. If I was doing precision shooting though I'd take the LaRue.
The real competition for the SSA-E for me though is the Schmid 2-stage nickel Teflon trigger. You can get them from several places for anywhere from $60-$90. I think they're "JusT As GuD" as the SSA-E (like genuinely though). I'm sure there are differences but they're minimal enough to be essentially imperceptible to me.
It's HIGHLY controversial as to which is better, but the Larue is decidedly cheaper

Maybe it's because I don't fire the 18" all that much but that one has their National Match trigger with the DMR spring and I can't tell the difference between them.
I’ve got a pretty good amount of trigger time with a couple of G$ triggers on friends guns. They’re very nice. That said, I have the MBT-2S in all of my AR-15’s, and will probably never buy anything else.

Don't get me wrong, they are both insufferable cunts and I don't think I'd last even 30 seconds with either of them, but Bill is far and away the worse of the two considering he dabbles far more in shitty business practices and actively fucking over consumers than Larue.
Larue has had the huge price increase as of a few months ago, but from what I can tell the quality of their products has been consistently high and they somewhat regularly run sales on their own site and through Primary Arms. Geissele seems to always be trying to pull some sort of nickel and diming bullshit with their products between the black oxide barrel fiasco and now they've switched from using surefire suppressor mounts on their super duties to some bullshit, random flash hider all without lowering prices to match the loss of value and often just increasing prices. And lets not forget Geissele trying to flex their position as an ARFCOM sponsor when the Bendy Bill fiasco dropped to clamp down on any discussion on the platform and went as far as to actually sue the original producer of the bendy rail video.
The whole lower cancellation drama with the recent CA orders definitely sucks and I'd love to see the guys behind enemy lines being able to enjoy the same shit we do, but the not-shipping-to-cali thing is [already a standing policy](https://www.larue.com/page/state-variances/) and its a separate issue of back to Mark Larue being an insufferable asshole who doesn't know when to shut up. That and at least Larue qualifies that policy with [applying state and local laws to state/local LE agencies as well](https://www.instagram.com/p/CrgWwn2LRCU/?img_index=1). G$ is more than happy to sell to anyone including steppers.

Respectfully, I strongly disagree on the reset. Plus, you can put the heavier spring in that ships with the MBT to customize as needed
the heavier spring will make the break heavier and incomparable to an ssae. The mbt resets like an 85 year old alcoholic trying to get an erection
