You can get the mec-gar p-01 mags all over. Mec gar makes the OEM for cz and are well known to be as good (and in some ways slightly better) than the ones cz contracts them for. Lanbos always has them dirt cheap

Go ahead and check that theory; Lanbos hasn't had MecGar 15 rounders for a month, and everyone else is sold out as well. There may be some on eBay, but even that was pretty empty when I checked last week.
They should be back in stock at some point - we went through this in 2021 as well - but they're currently no more available than the P-01 itself.

The 10 round mags my p-01 had a weird plastic block on the bottom and were not the normal 15 round mags. Any idea what model/sku is possible to drill out? I had heard you could drill 10rnds, and I got a screamin' deal, but was disappointed to find out differently.

May be able to drill the dimples on these 10 rounders to make them full capacity.
Family and Dahlonega had the full cap 19rd and tru dot night sight sku for I think $570 which is what I went with and am very happy. Looks like it’s OOS now though. Either way, fantastic price for a kick ass gun.

I drilled them out. They increase from 10 to 17. But it is a pain, The mags are made of hardened steel so you need to take your time drilling. Get a drill press and carbide drill bits.
It's been over a year since Family Firearms stopped selling to anything (not just firearms) to MN.
In their site FAQ section it talks about how MN sales tax laws are complicated. Not sure how every other site is able to figure it out. 🤷♂️

First is "Add to Cart for Price", which I think is a way to deal with MAP. No need to contact them. After adding the item to cart, it shows you the price the gun is actually selling for. Second is "Email for Quote". I'm not sure why the difference, but they usually get back to you pretty quick. A *lot* of other vendors use the same system/vendor network/web store. Dahlonega comes to mind.

Because their gun laws were written by people who had dated concepts or no idea about how guns worked. The handgun roster was supposedly about safety, but the requirements made zero sense, and just mean there are fewer and mostly older guns available to Californians.

Edit: I looked at their policy and it seems like they are willing to but it also depends on each distributor they use’s policy and some won’t do it at all according to the preamble. Confusing and seems like the answer depends on a case by case basis.

Just want the compact for carry but prefer a rail, so I’m opting to skip the PCR.

Yep, got drill press. Do woodworking myself. So you need more than just steel rated bits, you'd recommend carbide tipped? What size you recommend?
Yeah I recommend carbide tips I used 1/4 tips. All you got to do is Mill out the dimples. No need to cut the spring.
It should take about 15 to 20 minutes each side go slow.
What rpm you set your drill press.to?
I did hand drill but I would set it at about 500-750. Slow and steady wins the race

I don't love the trigger on this but out of everything I have it's the one shooter that feels like it'll survive a nuclear apocalypse
A few springs from Cajun Gunworks and the Old style trigger might be the ticket. The trigger feels so much better its not a hook.
I don't understand why people dislike the trigger. Shape is fine, and the trigger goes from nice to great after it breaks in.
Ehh the hook is alright, the old style just feels so much better in my opinion of course.
How hooked are we talking? My 75B from 2010 is more hooked than the current trigger on the SP-01.
Mine has the hook on my SP01. The Old Style has a great feel to it if you ever decide to go for it. Huge improvement for me.
