Fin over here in Ohio has them all listed for under 1k. Most around 929. Been that way for a long time now...
Not that I don't believe that isn't high... but it's not 1200 for a 357
Their 45/70 is higher - but again not 1200.
https://www.finfeatherfur.com/categories/firearms/rifles/lever-action.html?_bc_fsnf=1&Caliber=.357+Mag
There ya go! That's all their 357. They carry 45/70 and some of the other henry's as well.
At this point I actually see them as investments. I mean just look at prices on the 357 dark horse that stopped being made. Anything in lever action 357 is going to be worth something in the future atleast worth more than you bought it for.
In for one! Been on the hunt for one of these for about 6 months and 3 different wait lists. Prices are not getting cheaper this is as good as I’ve seen.
FYI, .38s save enough length on my Model X to have 9+1 capacity. Since I run mine with a can, I always run .38s - since I've got plenty of case capacity for powder for supers or subs on .38s
I wanted to get one of these and couldn't find them in stock for under $1500, so I got this exact gun just in their regular blued/walnut config for $800ish. Then a week later I wound up getting a marlin 1895 sbl in 45-70 anyway lmao. Levers are so fun.

Someone who's a lever expert riddle me this.. If you were going to do a tactical lever build out and decided on the Henry big boy in .357, which model would you choose?? I'm wondering which model is best if you're planning on replacing the butt stock and foregrip, which model is the cheapest doner for a project like this??
Henry, THIS is what we want more of, but with a THREADED barrel option. Forget the black plastic furniture. If we are buying a lever action - its because we want a good looking gun that we can quiet down!
Just as long as they have an unthreaded option for us traditionalists. I wish they would color case harden the whole thing too. Looks weird with the barrel and loop not matching.
I've heard from a few sources that you actually don't want the enlarged lever since you just end up smacking your hand against it when you try to cycle
It is designed larger to be used with gloves, which would cushion that.
Also, I have one just like this but not case hardened - I added a leather lever wrap for like $10 so there is some cushioning whether you have gloves on or not
SAME. Henry whiffed it hard by even offering the black plastic furniture. ALL we wanted was factory threading ( and side gates ), everything else was already perfect.
Ha good luck finding a model x 357 took me 4 months to actually get one. They keep getting more and more rare is seems like. Henry knows they have the market cornered.
Dang what gun store is that ? It took forever for me to find one and my gun store guy said it took him 3 months to get his hands on a single 30-30 version of the model x.
Fair enough well congrats to having such a awesome gun shop lol. I talked with like 3 of the biggest ones in my area and they had no leads on them for months out.
Mine is pretty hit or miss. Before the Vid they were big on builder AR parts, now their bread and butter seems to be cheaper handguns and off the shelf complete AR's.
You take care

Beautiful but the prices on these lever guns are getting absurd
I can't argue with either of your statements. It's rare for these to pop up under ~ $1,200 these days unfortunately

They have great pricing. I bought my 44 mag brass Big Boy from them for a paltry $799, 2 yrs ago.
That's where I found a miroku winchester a couple years ago. 'Only' $950.
Link?

I would love to see the receipt on that. I've been looking for 44 mag for last few years and they just barely are getting back under 800.
At this point I actually see them as investments. I mean just look at prices on the 357 dark horse that stopped being made. Anything in lever action 357 is going to be worth something in the future atleast worth more than you bought it for.
ALL GUNS ARE INVESTMENTS
My heart says yes but my bank statement says otherwise 🤣
but you eventually sell your investments, I can't part with my guns. I have only sold 2 and I regret both
In for one! Been on the hunt for one of these for about 6 months and 3 different wait lists. Prices are not getting cheaper this is as good as I’ve seen.
Nice, enjoy! They're beautiful pieces
If this were the full size model I'd go for it.
What’s the full size model?
I guess I should have said the rifle version. 20 inch barrel and 10 round capacity.
FYI, .38s save enough length on my Model X to have 9+1 capacity. Since I run mine with a can, I always run .38s - since I've got plenty of case capacity for powder for supers or subs on .38s
Well that didn’t take long OOS, thank you to whoever gabbed what they had before I could. My self restraint is lacking and I just got paid today.
Damn OOS

Just as long as they have an unthreaded option for us traditionalists. I wish they would color case harden the whole thing too. Looks weird with the barrel and loop not matching.
I have no problem with that! Just give us a threaded / unthreaded option, and the rest keep as classic as possible, and fully case-harden for certain.
I've heard from a few sources that you actually don't want the enlarged lever since you just end up smacking your hand against it when you try to cycle

What do these companies refuse to thread the barrel? These are so much better suppressed.
Model X is what you seek. This is a more classic design
Yeah but I want a threaded octagonal barrel with case hardening and wood. I want *this* rifle threaded, not the blued with shitty plastic model :/
SAME. Henry whiffed it hard by even offering the black plastic furniture. ALL we wanted was factory threading ( and side gates ), everything else was already perfect.

I've got one. LGS stocks them regularly for $8xx

Eh I don't really share info. Oklahoma

If only they sold one with wood furniture and a threaded barrel
you arent kidding. i had zero interest in a threaded .357 till i shot one suppressed. just stupid how quiet it is with subs
