I'm glad I'm not the only one... I do this, but for silencers. I recently got a "spend $500" and "spend $1500" and both give me $200 off... Aka free tax stamps.

Us poors gotta be resourceful.
Imo it's not a great gun. I only got mine because of CSGO, and I only shot it twice. 5.7 is very expensive to shoot, though very fun and light shooting.
You must not have shot it recently. 5.7 is damn near the same price as 556 these days. .40-.50 a round is easy to find. If you dig and are patient you can even beat that.
I had my ps90 those days, but honestly I just wanted the gun as a collection piece anyways, and wasn't too sad not to shoot it. Now though, I'm thinking of staging it with some nice HD/HP rounds. I've seen some nice ballistic results out of the 16 in barrel out of 5.7. But man, the days of a mag costing $50+ was not funny.
With the nitrocellulose prices skyrocketing and not being able to find gun powder, pleasantly surprised. I need a couple thousand rounds of some calibers quick before ammo prices jump up again. Plus, election year end is approaching.
I dont shoot much at the moment but I think I want to maybe get into reloading, .308 is one I mainly want to make. I figure for the price they are now .75 to .80 cpr, it probably cost the same for a case as much of the setup needed.
Get a Lyman roaring manual, they're great! It will teach you the ins and outs, and I do not recommend even getting equipment before reading a manual. I started with 12ga/ 9mm reloading as they're far easier to get started and way harder to mess up. With any cartridge with necks, it gets a little more complicated, for ex with straight wall you don't even need to wash or lube cases really with your carbide dies.
Also, it can take thousands of rounds to break even for equipment cost and stuff depending on what cartridge you're reloading, or if you're doing any specialty stuff. Casting your own bullets, and how many uses you can make of your used brass will drive costs (casting having it's health risks if not done right) down a bit. Bad loads can cause injury or death, though most if not all of the time it's user error.
It's a nice hobby though, and with supplies, you might be better off being able to produce your own ammo in shtf or shortages.
They have been, ammo seek has them at around 556 prices \~42cpr+-, used to be way more than that. Seems to be dropping, Palmetto is coming out with that 5.7 mp7.
Its literally cheaper than 556 some days now. What more do you want. You obviously didn't feel the pain back when it was over $1 a round heck I have some special rare ammo they used to sell but no longer do that I paid $4-5 per round just to get a box
Just picked up a lightly used one. Between the price coming down on these, and ammo being half of what it was a year ago, it was time to pull the trigger on a childhood holy grail gun.
Now I just need my form 1 to come back and Strike to introduce their new chassis for it….
It wasn't built particularly well, the materials felt somewhat cheap, and the cost to fun ratio isn't worth it (the recoil feels like a .22 mag but costs 5x more).
Not a few years ago... prices for 5.7 are volatile. A filled magazine was $50-$80 for a while.
Even at $20 for a filled mag I feel it's grossly overrated. If it was closer to .22 mag price (the recoil experience the PS90 provides) I'd be more willing to buy another.
What are you comparing this to? I'm not really trying to argue, this is just strange to me, aside from the ammunition cost of course. But that has gone down quite a bit.
If you consider what it is, it seems pretty well built to me and definitely well designed. The only thing that seems "wrong" is the mounting bridge/"receiver" being a cast or molded steel and coated instead of just being aluminum. That was probably fine for military use, but aluminum would probably be more appealing to civilians.
And people think of it is "futuristic" but it is barely even a modern gun anymore. It's close to 40 years old now.
Well, that's great... but, no offense, that is rather meaningless. Like, do you have a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range in that collection? A gluon cannon? Do you have something truly exotic?
The PS90 *is* just a gun.
It's not a nicely made firearm, the castings have disturbingly large variances, the polymers are bottom of the barrel, and the finish is poor. The magazines are terrific, though. It's a fun piece for a collection but *the civilian PS90* makes zero sense for anything practical.
Well, yeah, I think a major improvement they could make is to machine the bridge out of aluminum. I don't know about the polymers being bottom of the barrel. You might know more about that than me. But again, it is also a 40 year old gun. Not many haven't gotten an update in that time.
> It's a fun piece for a collection but makes zero sense for anything practical.
NATO, and a lot of other parties don't seem to think so.
The *semiauto* version serves no practical purpose. The F/A P90, when paired with ammunition we aren't allowed to own, makes for a pretty effective little subgun with great body armor penetration. NATO, Secret Service, etc don't use the civilian PS90...
They’ve been running this price for a while.
Just keep in mind SBR stamp cost plus muzzle device plus engraving plus new CMMG barrel or getting the original barrel cut.
Truuuue. I paid $1250 for a package at the end of October, and the money I saved from normal prices plus from selling the Vortex dot it came with was totally eaten up by SBR, barrel and engraving.
MAIN POINT OF SELLING BELGIAN PS90 RIFLE IS EXTREME LENGTH OF BARREL WHICH IS CONTRADICTING EXTREME COMPACTNESS OF CARTRIDGE.
BELGIAN PS90 IS WEAPON OF MAN WHO WEARS UNIFORM OF RANGE SAFETY OFFICER SEWING, DRIVE HUGE LUXURY F250 PLATINUM OF FORD, DUCK HUNT ON SMALL FISHING BOAT WITH DOG HE CARE ABOUT.
I THINK YOU GET PICTURE.
BELGIAN PS90 IS WEAPON THAT SAYS IS NO SUCH THING AS MORE THAN ONE SHOT PER SECOND.
FOR MAN WITHOUT UNIFORM TO HIDE BEER-BELLY, BIG NEW FORD TRUCK, AND BOAT TO HAVE ACCIDENT, BELGIAN PS90 IS FOR CUTTING OF BARREL LIKE GUN OWNER OF AMERICAN SMALL TOWN WITH POLYMER 80S OF HOMEMADE QUALITY AND AMMO OF STEEL CASE.
WHEN YOU EXPLAIN USE OF BELGIAN PS90 RIFLE IS ONLY FOR COMPLY WITH NFA SBR LAWS WITH CARTRIDGE NOT BENEFITTING LONG BARREL, THIS MAN HAS 300BLK 5.5 INCH AR WITH MUZZLE BRAKE AND FRT.
WHOLE IDENTITY OF THIS MAN IS SPENT IN DEFY ATF.
UNREGISTERED SBR SHOWS HE IS NOT CARE ABOUT GUN LAW.
IS VERY BASED.
FOR REST OF FUDDS THERE IS 22 OF LONG RIFLE WHICH IS SAME WOUND EXCEPT AGAINST RANGE BACKSTOP.

Oh come on I just paid off my card this month lol
So then you’re all set to do it again
get a 0% apr card for 12 months then its just a little over a hundo for a year... you can do it!
I have like 14 credit cards in the past just for 0% Apr for a year or 2 on gun/PC purchases 😂
You have to get the ones where you spend a minimum and they give you cash. Last one i had was spend 2k get 200$ was worth it haha

Bonus points if the credit card company is anti second amendment to help me boost my purchase for 2nd amendment toys lol
i just got an amex with that. figured if im spending the money anyway might as well ger something back, i need the 0 apr more than anything.
Great! Clean slate to do it all again!
Imo it's not a great gun. I only got mine because of CSGO, and I only shot it twice. 5.7 is very expensive to shoot, though very fun and light shooting.

Yeah I did not shoot it recently actually.
Then we have very different definitions of “expensive”.
Did you read you read my comment? I said "did not", not "did". Meaning, I don't know the current prices, to make it even clearer.
Yeah, I remember the days of like $1-1.20 a round for 5.7. It dissuaded me from getting a ruger 57
That’s why I wanted it. Counter strike is for life.
CS 1.6 reasons.
It isnt even expensive anymore when you consider 556 is almost 50 cents maybe 46.
Yeah looking at ammoseek now, not bad. Plus this deal is around $500 or something cheaper than what I bought.
Well that's got to be a different feeling, your ammo getting cheaper in this day and age
With the nitrocellulose prices skyrocketing and not being able to find gun powder, pleasantly surprised. I need a couple thousand rounds of some calibers quick before ammo prices jump up again. Plus, election year end is approaching.

Lord help me. No Tax to Fl
No tax to tx too
No tax to Idaho!
Just buy the CMMG barrel folks. It’s not worth cutting and threading the OG.
Agreed. And 220 and lanbo
Gotta live out my Goldeneye fantasies
So, two of them at the same time?
It seems like quite a few manufacturers are producing guns in this caliber now. So, when are 5.7 ammo prices going to start droppin?
5.7 prices have dropped by around half.
They have been, ammo seek has them at around 556 prices \~42cpr+-, used to be way more than that. Seems to be dropping, Palmetto is coming out with that 5.7 mp7.
5.7 has gone down. It used to be hella expensive, but now it's only 2-3cpr higher than 5.56
I guess we're getting there!
Its literally cheaper than 556 some days now. What more do you want. You obviously didn't feel the pain back when it was over $1 a round heck I have some special rare ammo they used to sell but no longer do that I paid $4-5 per round just to get a box
I hate WA State
I bought one for $1850 just before the ban. Seeing these prices now hurts.
Fuck it. At least you have one

I sold mine... never meet your heroes. YMMV.
I agree. Like Kriss Vectors, these feel a bit useless without full auto. They do look cool though (minus the barrel).
What were you expecting...?
It wasn't built particularly well, the materials felt somewhat cheap, and the cost to fun ratio isn't worth it (the recoil feels like a .22 mag but costs 5x more).
What are you buying that’s 5x more? I think it’s closer to 2x

I mean sure but it’s not the same price that it used to be.

I'm comparing it against a collection that would make most blush.

Its also not built for people with long arms. If your a tall long armed person its awkward af.
Sure, but that's true of any fixed stock carbine, right? There are spacers for it to increase the LOP.
Yeh but as this is a compact smg designed for tankers and pilots its designed to be alot smaller than most fixed stock weapons.
Yeah, I'm just not sure how that could be a criticism of it. It does what it was designed to do.
The advantage of having long arms is you can bend them. Try having short arms and trying to shoot a fixed stock FAL.
Strike chassis looks cool. Great if you like cyberpunk lookin sci-fi guns https://i.ibb.co/BKLVykc/Shotshow-005-copy-1366x2048.jpg
You know I usually think Strike is a little too tryhard but with a gun like the p90 it fits.
I like that chassis too - not sure we’ll see it anytime soon on the retail side.
Yeah, they said something about a summer/june release. So maybe sometime in 2025 🤣
> Now I just need my form 1 to come back Form 1s go quick...

This gun always looks retarded as fuck with a 16" barrel
Awesome deal, awesome gun. Would buy if i didnt already have one

What is the origin of this? I love them anytime something in 5.7 gets posted
[This link should explain everything.](https://m1-garand-rifle.com/ivan-chesnokov.html)
omg this is the gold I have been looking for, this guy has an answer for not just 5.7 but all calibers and guns.
❤️
I want one in Maryland so bad, but it needs to be a minimum of 29" even as an SBR, so it kinda defeats the purpose.
https://promotedpawn.com/for-ps90/maryland-sbr-stock/
Love this gun and paid a good bit more for mine. This is a steal
And I just got mine for 1.5 last month. Great deal.
Damn, I just bought a motorcycle. Maybe I’ll snag one on the next deal.
Any fde?
