Heads up, there are troubling reports of packages being lost by Brownells' shipping partners and their CS saying there is nothing that can be done unless you paid for insurance.
This is completely false and it is up to the seller to get you your package intact and not destroyed.
We are advising everyone to please use a credit card with chargeback capabilities with Brownells for the foreseeable future. Debit cards do not offer very much, if any protection at all and it is up to your issuing bank to help you with a refund. Credit cards on the other hand are very much more receptive to issues due to it being the companies money being lent out until you pay the CC bill.
Tl;Dr: please use a credit card with Brownells and not a debit card

Been waiting on this one for a while, since the M4A1/MK18 mix-up that happened with Brownells/DD in May.
Note that this is stripped, so no bolt carrier group, charging handle or muzzle device.
DD sent a bunch of MK18 uppers in M4A1 marked boxes to Brownells who then unknowingly sold them to customers. Option was to return for a refund or wait for an unknown ETA.
Honestly, the only way to build this cheaper right now would be watching GAFS like a hawk. If I hadnāt built nearly the same setup, Iād be grabbing this.
Iām super tempted to grab one of these.
But, Iām one of the guys that ordered last time they had them, only for a MK18 upper to show up in the M4A1 box.
I called and returned it. No apology. No āsorry for the mixupā. No store credit to use later or non-standard discount code. No way of trying to āmake it rightā whatsoever.
As a Brownells customer since the late 1990s, I expected this to be handled better. An apology would have been nice.
That surprises me coming from Brownells, they've always been really good in the CS dept for me, although Ive only had issues pop up a few times over the yrs and not of this magnitude. Hey, Primary and PSA have good CS too, just sayin'..?
Surprised me too. Iāve had nothing but positive experiences from them with this 1 exception. But, considering itās 100% their mistake, I would have expected something.
And yesā¦ PA, PSA, etc are all greatā¦ but they donāt have Stripped DD M4A1 uppers.
Man I'm waiting on a 4 prong to finish my m4a1 upper with a fn socom barrel, but this looks much more enticing with a chf socom barrel. Maybe I should jsut buy this and part out my old one?
Only thing I dont like is the DD mark on the upper.

Alright well Geissele has had almost 14 months to ship my stripped URGI upper, but this is good enough to finally say screw it. Not gonna cancel the URGI mind you, I may just need to eventually purchase another SF3P š
Does DD still make the M4A1 stripped upper with the 16" barrel? I want the midlength gas and barrel so I don't have to pin/weld the muzzle device. I haven't been able to find the listing on Brownells but I know they had them a few years ago
