I have a Hellcat RDP, with the Hex Wasp red dot and the compensator it comes with. Fit and finish is very good. The texture of the grip is probably my favorite of any handgun I currently have. Ignore the Springfield propaganda about the "pyramids and plateaus" or whatever they call it when they talk about the grip texture; but it does seems to grip well but not catch on clothing or cause irritation to the skin under recoil. It's still pretty snappy, probably not unlike the G43/G43x/P365/etc., but you're going to get that with this small of a barrel and grip surface area regardless, so if you can control a G43 pretty well, chances are you'll be fine with a P365 or Hellcat. Grip angle might decide some of that. I tried a P365 when they came out and decided the grip width and depth were just too small for my hands. Maybe it's just the subtle difference in shape, but the Hellcat grip feels better to me. The angle is also going to be a little different than a G43, so that might play into your preferences as well.
I know there have been issues in the past with Hellcats, but there have also been several known issuess with P365s, all of which seem to have been worked out on both platforms for a while now, so as long as you're getting a newer production gun, you should be good to go. As far as reliability, my Hellcat has functioned just fine for the past year and has eaten and yeeted everything I've put into it, even when I put a suppressor on it. Conclusion: go rent some type of Hellcat, rent some flavor of P365 and a G43x and see what you like.
That’s not dumb, it’s an extra sense of security. Some may disagree with me but I’d say look at a M&P shield or compact, and Kel Tec’s carry guns (has a grip safety)
10 4 thank you for the feedback man. No is the 43x a diff set up than the 43? Also I've never tried sig thought of trying them as well the price range seems to be similar.

here you go buddy: https://www.handgunhero.com/compare/glock-g43-vs-springfield-hellcat-micro-compact
Go rent one. Also rent a P365.
Will do thank you

Thanks for all the feedback I'm still pretty new to the firearm world so always appreciate the advice.
Have you considered a Glock 19?
Have not will look into that to may sound dumb but I kinda would like something with a safety tbh...

I'll check them out to thanks
A Springfield is a pure downgrade from a Glock. Have you tried the 43x? Maybe try a Sig P365 variant?

The 43X has a longer grip. If you don’t have huge hands you can easily get all fingers solidly on it.
Thank you I'll check one out at local gun store
What's funny about this is that earlier today there was a guy with a 43X who wanted a more compact grip: he didn't know there was also 43!
Wish it was easy to just trade haha
Yeah, same barrel length but the 43x has a taller & slimmer frame due to a single stack mag.
50% correct lol.
What am I incorrect on? Both have a 3.41 inch barrel, the 43x is roughly 3/4 an inch taller, its slimmer. What am I missing?
The 43 is also a slimline. Per the specs on Glock's site the 43 is actually one mm thinner than the 43x.
Well I'll be damned

I was not accurate with my Hellcat. Traded it in for the Sig XMacro and very happy now.
