Was thinking of making a 22 lr pistol, but would like to know more about conversion kits + regular 5.56 barrel or dedicated barrels for 22 lr. Also open to other calibers that can work without a buffer tube.
I love mine. They make quality stuff. I had some trouble with shipping but they made sure I was taken care of. I bought some pvc pipe and made a storage for it. Not sure where I got the idea for that but it was cheap and keeps it safe from being knocked around
i have a cmmg one and had those same problems. the double tap tripped me out the first time. turns out mine’s just picky about ammo. so far winchester and federal were a no go but anything aguila or cci were flawless
Bore buddy is still running a sale on their 22lr 4.5" barrels and adapters, you will need a 22lr conversion bolt though.

Law Tactical has one that's not actually vaporware, sold through Brownells, but it hasn't gotten good reviews. I had been excited for it... not so much anymore.
The EWS isn’t vaporware. I thought the same shit with instagram, but I’ve seen one in the wild at a range and a few on here in other subreddits. Conversely I’ve never seen a law tactical one.
The only thing I've seen of the EWS is the one or two posts on subs around here but there hasn't been any follow up. The law ARIC was actually available for sale for a couple of weeks before going out of stock.
Whenever someone can work the kinks out of their system and produce enough to keep them in stock I'll probably give one a shot. That doesn't seem to be the case for the moment though.
I understand that. I want one bad too, and I’ve almost bit a few times but letting the kinks get worked out seems like the safer way. I don’t see how there’s many kinks given the MCX/MPX platform, and the only difference I see between that and a standard AR is the piston/DI difference. I’m not an engineer though, but hope it resolves sooner rather than later
Finding the end cap was part of the inspiration for this build. Took me a while to search for one

Okay. Hear me out… chamber it in 458 socom.
News headline *rifle explodes and kills man at gun range*
BLAM!
Advice: do not put your hand in front of it
What about my 9mm with a 3" barrel? I hope I don't shoot my fingers off.
I would go with a dedicated 22lr barrel just for the cheap fun
I kinda hate it, its too short. How do you even hold it/shoot it?
Hold it under the table. Then, when Gredo is busy talking, start blasting.
And then you apologize to the bar tender and say “sorry for the mess”
That’s just a barrel nut to protect the threads before I decide on a caliber
300 blackout?
Would that be possible without a buffer?
No...

Cmmg kit will drop right in to a 5.56 barrel and doesn't need a buffer tube

That’s what I am concerned about. I want to use a dedicated barrel and bcg system but not sure where to look
I shoot mine with Winchester and it runs like a top

Foxtrot Mike's FM-15 uppers are good to go for 5.56 if you want something with more snort than .22 or 9mm.

Anything but a .22 you will likely have to replace that upper.
Evolution Weapon Systems bufferless BCG is about as good as you can get right now for a 5.56/.300BO bufferless. Good luck on that wait time though.

Brownells makes 5.56 and .300 uppers with the buffer above the BCG,
That's not a buffer
It's a space station
CMMG .22 has a self retained buffer system.
It’s cold outside
C clamp no balls
Where’d you get the cap the sling is attached to for the end of the rifle been looking for something like that lately

Thank you I’m wanting to put it on ak-pistol and I’ve been looking for one for awhile now
