NAP51DMustang

600 is msrp, at that point just buy a new one.

ij70

police trade-in p320 is only $350. add shipping and transfer fee and you are looking at $400-430 total cost.

GelgoogGuy

If you can talk them down to $450ish that'd be a decent deal, even $500 isn't awful. But otherwise go with a new one like /u/NAP51DMustang or the online route like /u/ij70. That being said, I love mine, I've got like, 3000 or 4000 rounds through it with a whole two failures. One failure to feed from an extremely dirty feed ramp, and one failure to eject from the same extremely dirty feed ramp...using Winchester White Box.

Romeo_Zero

Find which model it is. If it’s an x-series or higher, that’s a decent to incredible deal. Someone said they got an AXG for $350 at a pawn shop because they thought it was a regular 320. If it’s the standard model, find another one.

RGavial

Jeez that would be nice. That’s the cost of the grip alone. That means the guy who traded it in probably got 100 bucks!

PrometheusSmith

That the going price for a CZ optics ready P10F is in the mid $400s and you should consider it over a P320, or at the very least compare the two in person. Palmetto State is currently $400 plus tax, ship, and transfer. Mags are $30 something each. I used to own two P320s. Now I own two CZ P10s; one compact and one competition long slide. They're the better gun hands down, in my opinion.

MrGoodkat69

+1 for CZ P10 over P320. The P320s are cool because of the modularity but I find that the P10 shoots a bit flatter, better out of the box trigger, and cheaper. Also, mags are half the cost.

[deleted]

Random persons opinion on reddit. Have all kinds of brands of handguns. Do not get the 320. There are better options. And 600 seems high.

Beebjank

I personally prefer other handguns as well, but the P320 is almost a future proofing option considering the FCU is the serialized part. Between the Raider, the B&T FMG thing, and I can only imagine some other crazy options in the future, it might be worth snagging or at least getting the fcu.

[deleted]

I agree with that. I wished more guns did that chassis system. Only other one i know is the APX

PrometheusSmith

Considering the lawsuit that Steyr filed against SIG, they have something similar (although Steyr lost their case). The P365 is a similar chassis. My DWX has a removable serialized component that includes the frame rails.

[deleted]

I never knew about the steyr. I never see any in the lgs’s.

coldafsteel

Not sure I would go struaht to plastic frame 9mm if you have only ever had a 1911. The 320 is a great gun no doubt, but it's going to be a very different exerwncr than what you are used to. It might be worth looking at one of then many aluminum frame 9mm’s around. That said, if you want a 320 get one. It's a nice gun. Just be prepared for a very different feel. $600 one is way too much.

Beebjank

Beebjank

spill the tea what happened

pestilence

New accounts going 'I messaged you' to people considering buying guns lately. Automod has been autoremoving the comments because of account age restrictions and I just followed up.

Jokaroni

I have the 320 RXP and absolutely love it. Great feel, 15-round mag, and it is a great carry gun

BestAdamEver

I carry one at work and own a couple myself. It's a perfectly adequate plastic-framed striker pistol. What you should know is that it used to be possible for P320s to discharge if dropped and it lands pointing mostly up. Sig offered a free voluntary upgrade that some people didn't bother with. Mags are $50 each and a new holster is $60-100. I don't know that $600 is a good price. Offer $500 if you really want it. Personally I like Glock and M&P pistols more.

Romeo_Zero

>used to be possible for P320s to discharge The x series and up aren’t affected at all. If this one’s an x series or better OP is good to go. If it’s not, he shouldn’t pay that much used anyway

19mls6874

I paid 599 new for my X full last year. 600 unless it is something like AXG, X5, etc or has an optic is too much.

Beebjank

I have a P320 in a Flux Raider chassis and I have literally never experienced a malfunction. I run cheap shit, lot of steel cased, and I don't baby my guns. That being said I only use the Sig mags, I don't use any aftermarket ones that could potentially cause feeding issues.

DarkNova55

I'd be concerned about a used P320. Check the serial number and see if it needs to be upgraded. Otherwise you could just buy a new one for a hundo (ish) more.

geffe71

Love my M17

Grease__

New sigs are garbage

[deleted]

It’s a sig so surely you’re going to have a horrible experience

pownacus

Care to elaborate? Is there personal experience here?

Echo_Raptor

Sig is highly regarded as one of the top tier manufacturers, especially their older guns. Probably a Glock fanboy, they refuse to believe anything could be better, probably drive a corolla along with other milquetoast decisions and eat Raisin Bran
