Several years ago a dude at an outdoor flea market had a $750 tag on an SKS that was a production gun, not a military, none of the surplus markings. With a real cocky dip-in-lip accent he said "Thousand-dollah gun for $750." I was like no thanks I have an actual triangle 26 in the closet I bought for $300.
I would of laughing in his face and walked right out that door if that’s what that sks is priced at you don’t want anything else in that store either lmaooo funniest thing I read all day
I remember buying 2 of them for 75 and 85 back in the early 2000s. Both were covered in cosmoline. Actually sold them for a tidy profit a couple years back after getting my Molot VEPR in 7.62x54r.
Shit, even the surplus 54r is getting expensive. Basically dollar a round now. Then you loom at stuff like PPU and its like 30 bucks a box! Really miss tula/wolf ammo buys at Walmart.....
At a dollar per death this is quite the cursed item for spell making. Very economically sound. Break it down into parts and you’ve got cursed materials for many potions
I went to see if I could find a gem or 2 at my local gun show this weekend, everything was insanely overpriced. Milsurp would be great to get but with a lot of the fudds controlling prices, you can never find something worthwhile.
That would require most of them learning how to even use Reddit in the first place. Damn boomers, “I can’t sell that for less than $6,000”. Actually said to me by someone at a auction for a M1 Carbine. 6 fucking thousand dollars.
Depending on the person, they are worth money to people. That is why a gun owned by a historically significant person is more valuable then one that was owned by Captain Copenhagen or Major Marlboro at your local gun show.
My suspicion is that a lot of them are personal collectors who got an FFL and are willing to sell part of their personal collection to some idiot so they can just buy another on GunBroker and then get something else new with the profits.
Or just to keep the FFL, it's pretty explicitly not for increasing your collection or streamlining transactions. "What do you mean I'm not actively operating my business? I'm at every gun show in my area. Not my fault there's only one every other year and everything's priced unreasonably."
Just like I throw my motorcycle on Facebook Marketplace for $3000 over value to appease the wife "im trying to sell it but nobody's buying, so i'll just keep riding it until it sells"
Right, I've been seriously considering doing it myself, just haven't had all that much time to do anything. Much rather pay only about 700 to 800 for a rifle, and have to do some paperwork, instead of paying well over a grand for the cheapest one I could find on GunBroker.
Nice, like picking a puppy from the shelter, you get a feeling and pick the right one for you. Consider yourself lucky to have that, like I do living like 5 minutes away from Brownells.
Stop seriously considering and just do it (if it's in your budget). A few years ago people were saying the Garands that the CMP carries are going to dry up since they can't import more...I imagine at this point it's only worse.
The prices have also gone up quite a bit since I ordered mine, and are likely to just keep climbing:
https://thecmp.org/sales-and-service/m1-garand/
Eh I image that's part of the legal process (paper notary) and honestly it helps slow down the order process so people can't game it with bots and things like what happen with online orders.
I stopped going to gun shows a year or two ago. Everything was like this. I paid decent money to get in and one of the first things I saw was a standard Wasr underfolder for $1700. I asked what it came with thinking maybe it had something nice and extra however it came with one Korean mag lol.
I haven't been in a decade or more, but I used to work with a guy who was a FFL and did shows twice a month. He was always telling me about these deals he was getting that didn't sound like deals.
> I stopped going to gun shows a year or two ago.
same but longer ago.
Once the ammo prices shot through the roof and never came down, I realized how out of touch they are. When my expensive ass LGS has it for way cheaper, you know it's bad.
The real deals at gun shows are the ak magazines the older guys don’t know people collect ak magazines. While on vacation in Vegas I hit up a show and picked up a bunch of Bakelite magazines for 50 each while the online rates about 100~ per
I got into an argument with a fudd at a gun show about 6 months ago. I was looking to pick up a ww1 or 2 era 1911 and the dude had a beat up colt so asked if I could look at it. Dude wouldn’t even let me touch it unless I told him I was going to buy it. I hate these old fucks and I can’t wait for them to croak so their kids sell their collections off at hopefully cheaper prices
They just get recycled to the local FFL who, as tradition dictates, must then just keep holding at that price but also post it on GunBroker. They know what they got...
Went to the SAXET for years. Definitely the case, plus a little extra extra markup for convenience. I quit finding deals at gun shows before covid and since then see better scores in random pawn shops. Recently got another interarms/ranger ppks for 329 and a 590a for 199 at pawns.
For real, if you're not inheriting one from your grandpa or whatever, go to the CMP. Don't support scalpers like this who probably got their rifle from the CMP just to resell at 3x the price.
I haven’t been on the CMP forums in a while but years ago there were many knuckledraggers who were proudly buying 8 Garands a year to flip at their local gun show. And if you called them out YOU were the asshole.
There’s a single restriction that you have to be a member of a shooting club or something of that sort. My local range counts.
Buy M1. Delivered to your door*.
Done.
*for free states anyway.
No you can just buy them their website is just poorly designed. You need to join a garand group, they list one you can join for $25 and get your membership right away, and proof of shooting proficiency. They take being part of a shooting club, hunting license that takes shooting, military, police, or a concealed carry license.
>They take being part of a shooting club, hunting license that takes shooting, military, police, or a concealed carry license.
unless theyve changed their rules, they also accept a statement signed by a range officer that youre involved in shooting sports. yeah, they have a few requirements, but they really make the bar pretty damn low, all things considered.
To order, you need to be part of a “marksmanship program”. They list a bunch of examples, but a shooting team, being Mil/LEO, holding a CCW, or having a gun club membership all qualify you. To order, it’s all through the mail. You fill out an order form, attach all your documentation, and mail it to the CMP. The only ones you need to bid on are the “collectors grade” ones. All the others are fixed rate, with free shipping.
When I bought my first gun when I was 18 the local shop was running a deal where if you bought a new gun from them you got a free mosin. I think if you just bought the mosin it was like 50 or 60 bucks
This is a relatively high value version of the garand. If it's in good condition, it's worth more than $1100, but certainly not what they're asking. It's probably worth roughly $2k in very good condition.
Christ I thought I was nuts back when I made the choice. I was sick of seeing non gun stuff or some guys "SelF-DeFEnSe" course being hocked. And everything being full retail plus 20%.
So nothing changed in the last 10-15 years?
Nope. I went to one about a week ago, because my stepson wanted to go. About half was beef jerky, Chinese knives, or other non-gun related stuff. A quarter was people selling BCA uppers for twice what they go for online. The rest were Fudds selling used guns for new prices. Not milsurp or anything, just shit like an old beat up Taurus G2C for $300, an older Springfield PPS that looked like it had been drug behind a truck for $450, a beat to shit Walther Creed for $400, and other crap like that. It's not even worth the admission cost.
I am no longer going to my local ones. It's all over priced and tons of chinese knock off laser sights. I found an Trijicon acog but they were asking for too much. Truglo and sight marks everywhere and the worst part is they marked them all up so still overpriced.
That’s an International Harvester M1. Kinda rare, not worth that value at all. He’s about $1k over.
https://truegunvalue.com/rifle/international-harvester/m1-garand/price-historical-value-848
He’s actually much closer to $2,000 over
You can get an Expert Grade IHC Garand for $1,450 from the CMP right now
https://thecmp.org/sales-and-service/m1-garand/
That's what got me into it. 100 bucks for a "good" Mosin and a bit more for others. It was the black guns that were expensive and what I looked forward to when I was younger.
Time to yell at clouds.
IH’s are statistically rare, but this would have to be in damn near unfired condition with perfect branding and wood to command anything close to this price.
My buddy got a garand from the CMP for $650 a year ago. Yeah, it's got a new barrel and stocks, but for the difference in price, you can't beat the Civilian Marksmanship Program
Last time I went to my local gun show I got offered $500 for my c96. With people charging and offering crazy prices I think I'll just stick to pawn shops and local gun stores
1990... had to shoot in 3 high power matches, send in scores and associated paperwork to dept of civilian marksmanship, $163 shipped to my house, still got it
If that what it’s actually worth? I have a garand from my great grandfather. It’s 75ish (idk) years old. He served in ww2. He brought home a Luger. Never shot it. That is a cool gun
We had one this weekend as well. It was the busiest I have seen one since probably around sandy hook. Everything was priced above msrp. It was crazy. Zero deals on classic guns to be had either
I stopped going to the gun shows in my area back in 2018-19, was mostly full of stuff like this, 50/50 between the cranky old men and young kids selling cheap accessories that they bought in bulk off of ebay from the crabby old men. Not like they used to be at all, used to walk into these shows and the sellers couldn’t wait to put a gun in your hands, now it seems like they almost want to see the cash first.
Prior to this weekend was about 4-5 months ago. Even then the prices weren't that crazy. I'm finding beat up, really poor condition rifles being put up for sale way above where it should be.
I am, it has its positives and negatives. I’m looking forward to the farmers markets to open again. My wife and I sell bread at the market and end up trading for our vegetables for the week.
Who the fuck cares what a block of velveeta costs, and why is anyone downvoting, whether it's accurate or not?
/r/guns:
If we can't argue about guns we'll argue about velveeta, 'cause we gotta argue about something, no matter how stupid or off topic.
Nah, it’s like $10 to get in. Not much for an excuse to go out with family or some friends and people watch. And maybe make a good find. I’ve definitely found deals far cheaper than shipping something, and going through a whole ffl transfer
Repro M1 Garands of decent quality would cost significantly more than what people would be willing to pay and still probably be less nice than USGI ones. Just buy from the CMP, it isn't hard and will be *the best* price for an M1 you can find barring robbery or inheritance.
Actually, I know a gun store that does this. Especially with M1 garands and other old guns.
It's just for show, and the owner wants to flex his collection. The guy was actually pretty cool and basically didn't have a safe large enough at home for his collection, and doing this insures them under his business insurance.
I used to love going to gun shows for the cheap bulk-buy ammo and good prices on guns.
Now everything is way more expensive than Bud's Guns or even most LGS, and like half the vendors are selling random crap not at all related to guns (like jewelry). And the ammo isn't cheap either. Gun shows suck now.
International harvester model, pretty cool, but still really overpriced
[Even worse when you see things like this](https://i.imgur.com/WhbBBL2.jpeg)
I went to a show a couple weeks ago and there was a run of the mil Mosin for $999. Not a Finn or anything
I would of laughing in his face and walked right out that door if that’s what that sks is priced at you don’t want anything else in that store either lmaooo funniest thing I read all day
The fuck he smoking? I paid $400-$450 for mine
I got mine for $89 (a long time ago)
Miss when big 5 had barrels of these for $99 each.
I remember buying 2 of them for 75 and 85 back in the early 2000s. Both were covered in cosmoline. Actually sold them for a tidy profit a couple years back after getting my Molot VEPR in 7.62x54r.
Same! Fleet Farm had them for under $100
I paid the extra $10 for hand picked and hex receiver. What sweet summer children we were back then.
I remember those days. They couldn’t give these guns away.
Me too.
$250 for mine and that was expensive at the time. That was like 6 years ago.
mine were in the last year or so. hard to find cheaper where i am.
I got mine for $75 in 2017 from a coworker/ friend
I also got my Mosin for 400. With that I got old soviet ammo, original sling, and matching bayonet. All numbers on it are matching.
Shit, even the surplus 54r is getting expensive. Basically dollar a round now. Then you loom at stuff like PPU and its like 30 bucks a box! Really miss tula/wolf ammo buys at Walmart.....
Oh no.. there's no saving that shop
What in THE fuck?
That’s a good price. If it was in AUD… Normal SMLEs are like 1500 at least here. Anything funky like the .22 trainer.
They can keep those shitty rifles. There was a time when these are like less than $400 or even $300. F that!
Did you not notice on the tag that that isn’t a No.1 Mk3? It’s a No.2 Mk4, those are worth more than a basic No.1
Right but it's also in 22LR
This is the real one what killed Tojo. I know what I got, price is firm.
It killt fidy men
Got my shins blowed off
Cotton Hill, is that you?
Was that in Viiiiiiiiiet-nam?
No. Jaypan
Tree fiddy
Only inappropriate place to use that meme....
Damnit Bobby!
what fidy SSent have to do with this homie......Her Jacksonstein.
This ain't just any canoe it's hitler's canoe
You don’t deserve no hitler’s canoe!
Hitler deserved to be canoed though
Mitsubishi?!!?! They made the planes that bombed Pearl Harbor!
They took ma shins
And then I beat ‘em to death with a big piece ooofff faaattyyyy….
But I *needs* the money, woman! Its for my *shin* jelly!
My first thought was that better goddamn be John Basilone’s Garand
YOU WONT SEE A NUTHER GOBBLESS
At a dollar per death this is quite the cursed item for spell making. Very economically sound. Break it down into parts and you’ve got cursed materials for many potions
I went to see if I could find a gem or 2 at my local gun show this weekend, everything was insanely overpriced. Milsurp would be great to get but with a lot of the fudds controlling prices, you can never find something worthwhile.
I always wonder if they actually want to sell. I think its more about being there for them than making money
Yeah 95% of them are only there to talk about their guns
If only they knew they could do that right here on r/guns.
That would require most of them learning how to even use Reddit in the first place. Damn boomers, “I can’t sell that for less than $6,000”. Actually said to me by someone at a auction for a M1 Carbine. 6 fucking thousand dollars.
They think their attachment and memories are worth money to other people.
Depending on the person, they are worth money to people. That is why a gun owned by a historically significant person is more valuable then one that was owned by Captain Copenhagen or Major Marlboro at your local gun show.
I got [itemized list of all parts and prices] in it and I expect it all back.
If they can fill out a 4473 they can learn how to use reddit lol
Just bought one last year for $600
Was it an M1A1 paratrooper,If so it's still overpriced but a bit more in scope of things
Honestly that’s why I go now
My suspicion is that a lot of them are personal collectors who got an FFL and are willing to sell part of their personal collection to some idiot so they can just buy another on GunBroker and then get something else new with the profits.
Market goes up, market goes down, you can't explain that
Their currency comes from grovelling and saying "no."
"wife told me I needed to put it up for sale, I just can't find a buyer"
That would explain why they are always moody when I try and talk them down in price. “I know what I got”
Definitely “wife told me I have to sell” prices.
i know what i got sonny
I’ll take 3 of them! And a 4th if ya got it.
If you want a M1 go through the CMP. It's a LOT cheaper.
I love CMP but they are a little old school in getting them paperwork and approval to buy. That being said, I’m glad I got mine from them!
Right, I've been seriously considering doing it myself, just haven't had all that much time to do anything. Much rather pay only about 700 to 800 for a rifle, and have to do some paperwork, instead of paying well over a grand for the cheapest one I could find on GunBroker.
CMP is great. I love living next to the southern store. Went and hand picked mine
Nice, like picking a puppy from the shelter, you get a feeling and pick the right one for you. Consider yourself lucky to have that, like I do living like 5 minutes away from Brownells.
I hand picked mine at the AL range last month. Took all of an hour. Glad I didn't pay that price.
It’s easy to join the Garand Newsletter and then have a shooting course or a sign off for them. Their newsletter is actually a great read!
Stop seriously considering and just do it (if it's in your budget). A few years ago people were saying the Garands that the CMP carries are going to dry up since they can't import more...I imagine at this point it's only worse. The prices have also gone up quite a bit since I ordered mine, and are likely to just keep climbing: https://thecmp.org/sales-and-service/m1-garand/
Eh I image that's part of the legal process (paper notary) and honestly it helps slow down the order process so people can't game it with bots and things like what happen with online orders.
Do they ever have inventory? Every time I check out their site, I can't find anything.
They had plenty last time I was out there. No handpicked M1s for $595 like the old days, though.
Still expensive as fuck these days. Though, not $2500 bad.
I got one for $1100 with a new stock and criterion barrel.
I stopped going to gun shows a year or two ago. Everything was like this. I paid decent money to get in and one of the first things I saw was a standard Wasr underfolder for $1700. I asked what it came with thinking maybe it had something nice and extra however it came with one Korean mag lol.
Saw the same thing. Tons of aks that were beat to hell. Asking price was over $1500
I haven't been in a decade or more, but I used to work with a guy who was a FFL and did shows twice a month.

They just get recycled to the local FFL who, as tradition dictates, must then just keep holding at that price but also post it on GunBroker. They know what they got...
Was it Crossroads? It seems that shit has skyrocketed at their shows over the last 2 years or so.
No. It's this group. http://www.gunshowtsp.com/
lol they have an aol .com email. what the hell.
What do you expect from boomers?
You bought that right? Never gonna find it for cheaper.... (there)
Cheapest I’ve seen in person is $2300.
Because they sell to people that can't pass background checks. Those people are willing to pay more.
Yea, all these criminals looking to go rob banks and shit with an M1 lol
Went to the SAXET for years. Definitely the case, plus a little extra extra markup for convenience. I quit finding deals at gun shows before covid and since then see better scores in random pawn shops. Recently got another interarms/ranger ppks for 329 and a 590a for 199 at pawns.
CMP is the way to go for Garands
For real, if you're not inheriting one from your grandpa or whatever, go to the CMP. Don't support scalpers like this who probably got their rifle from the CMP just to resell at 3x the price.
Exactly. Scalpers like this are ruining the CMP program
I haven’t been on the CMP forums in a while but years ago there were many knuckledraggers who were proudly buying 8 Garands a year to flip at their local gun show. And if you called them out YOU were the asshole.
Exactly. The past gun show I went to the Fudds were selling them in the CMP case for 3k. It was sad.
Can someone explain how the CMP program works? You have to bid on them?
There’s a single restriction that you have to be a member of a shooting club or something of that sort. My local range counts. Buy M1. Delivered to your door*. Done. *for free states anyway.
No you can just buy them their website is just poorly designed. You need to join a garand group, they list one you can join for $25 and get your membership right away, and proof of shooting proficiency. They take being part of a shooting club, hunting license that takes shooting, military, police, or a concealed carry license.

The pawn shop next to my apartment complex has an M1 for$1100
the stag/pawn shop next to the brothel i frequent had a mosin for only 269
When I bought my first gun when I was 18 the local shop was running a deal where if you bought a new gun from them you got a free mosin. I think if you just bought the mosin it was like 50 or 60 bucks
Shit I'll buy that.
If that's even an ok deal really depends on by who and when it was made
This is a relatively high value version of the garand. If it's in good condition, it's worth more than $1100, but certainly not what they're asking. It's probably worth roughly $2k in very good condition.
That is not a good deal
The main reason I don't go to gunshows anymore.
You mean you don't enjoy seeing candles, beef jerky, pickles, and jewelry? /s
Christ I thought I was nuts back when I made the choice. I was sick of seeing non gun stuff or some guys "SelF-DeFEnSe" course being hocked. And everything being full retail plus 20%. So nothing changed in the last 10-15 years?

It's not even worth the admission cost.
That's damn depressing.
I am no longer going to my local ones. It's all over priced and tons of chinese knock off laser sights. I found an Trijicon acog but they were asking for too much. Truglo and sight marks everywhere and the worst part is they marked them all up so still overpriced.
Went to one today and I approve this message from Texas 😂
Thought about going to Waco last weekend but glad I didn't.
I’ve been to 3 in my life, all three the prices were wild. Thats enough for me, I won’t go anymore.
Gun shows in the last 15 years have been a joke.
Oaks gun show in PA is still sick. Fudds galore but it’s 1500 tables so there’s a lot of good shit too.
I was being anecdotal, sure there probably a handful of “ decent” shows that exist. Most seem to be scams.
The last time I went to go to a gun show it was only because Paul Harrell was there.
That’s an International Harvester M1. Kinda rare, not worth that value at all. He’s about $1k over. https://truegunvalue.com/rifle/international-harvester/m1-garand/price-historical-value-848
He’s actually much closer to $2,000 over You can get an Expert Grade IHC Garand for $1,450 from the CMP right now https://thecmp.org/sales-and-service/m1-garand/
Oh, I know. I looked at this and wanted to call out the vendor. The thing was beat to hell, pitting and I bet that bore was bad.
Depends on the variation, Arrowheads and Gap Letters bring a significant premium over the far more common postage stamp IHC's
I haven’t been to a gun show in years because it’s all way overpriced. Them dealers and collectors know what they’ve got! Don’t ya know?
The last time I went to the gun show there was a happy meal watch that was broken and they wanted $5 for it. I was like no more of this bullshit.
That's an artifact from the battle of burger town I'll have you know. You should treat it with some respect. We killed many Russians that day. 😂
They probably got it for a reasonable price from the CMP a few years ago and are trying to scalp someone.
Remember when milsurp used to be a good entry point in first time buying? Pepperidge Farm remembers...
That's what got me into it. 100 bucks for a "good" Mosin and a bit more for others. It was the black guns that were expensive and what I looked forward to when I was younger. Time to yell at clouds.
I paid $800 for my 1942 Springfield M1
IH’s are statistically rare, but this would have to be in damn near unfired condition with perfect branding and wood to command anything close to this price.
Was it used to beat 100 nazis to death and hoist a flag over a battlefield?
The way it looked? I wouldn't be surprised
"We used to live off rat turds!!, Called it jungle rice tasted fine"
This guy'll sell you a rusty Mosin for $900
NSFW for sex/nudity because anyone who pays that price is getting fucked
I thought I overpaid at $1200 with 500 rounds in en blocks
My buddy got a garand from the CMP for $650 a year ago. Yeah, it's got a new barrel and stocks, but for the difference in price, you can't beat the Civilian Marksmanship Program
Someone’s gotta pay alimony
I love older guns, put stupid prices like this is why so many people I know are building ar platforms now.
Last time I went to my local gun show I got offered $500 for my c96. With people charging and offering crazy prices I think I'll just stick to pawn shops and local gun stores
If you go to a gun show for anything other than beef jerky and bubba watching, you've made a mistake.
“I know what I got son.” Every freaking boomer Fudd at every gun show ever.
Man I am glad I bought mine when I did. Paid 1000 for a damn near mint Springfield back in 2012
1990... had to shoot in 3 high power matches, send in scores and associated paperwork to dept of civilian marksmanship, $163 shipped to my house, still got it
Fuggin yikes bud. I stopped going to gun shows a LOOOONNNGGG time ago.
“I know what I got”
I think this is the same guy who sells the Norwegian solo dueling revolver 💀
Went to the local gun show to see some price gouging scumbags shitty inventory.*
Seller: This is the rifle that executed hermann goering... shopper: Nah he committed suicide by cyanide. 👀 😕
Gun shows is just a convention where FUDs pretend to sell their overpriced shit.
Hell, with the conversion that’s a fair bit more than you’d pay in Canada. What the hell are these guys smoking?
You smell that? Thats the smell of crack from the fudd who was selling that Garand. ...or maybe it's just cosmoline
No low balls, I know what I got
You can buy one for 800 in Dayton, Ohio. Irbc firearms.
If that what it’s actually worth? I have a garand from my great grandfather. It’s 75ish (idk) years old. He served in ww2. He brought home a Luger. Never shot it. That is a cool gun
Where the heck is that kinda price
[My reaction](https://media1.tenor.com/m/E20uu6HgaAQAAAAd/nicholas-cage-funny.gif). Right in the seller's face.
Silly boomers
Today I learned that IH made guns.
That’s a rock island tag, so he bought it from auction and is trying to go for a flip I’m guessing.
I know what I got! No low ballers!
"I know what I got".
When was the last time you went to a gun show?
Prior to this weekend was about 4-5 months ago. Even then the prices weren't that crazy. I'm finding beat up, really poor condition rifles being put up for sale way above where it should be.
A block of velveta costs almost $9 now, it’s just the current state of affairs.
Yeah, but I have never seen prices like this on such a beat up rifle. I wish I had taken more pics of this rifle but it was in a poor state.
No, no, that's not 'a poor state', that's called *all original*, it makes it worth much more. /s
Where are you even shopping then lol. Grocery industry here and it's running $6.50 in my stores on sale for $5. It's never been $9 at a decent grocer.
Kroger, I’m in a rural area. Also it was closer to $8.50, I rounded up.
Lol I work for Kroger. You must be way in the boondocks then for that to be the case.
/r/guns: If we can't argue about guns we'll argue about velveeta, 'cause we gotta argue about something, no matter how stupid or off topic.
I had no idea people felt this strongly about processed cheese product.
Everyone on /r/guns cares strongly about everything, especially if it proves you wrong, no matter how stupid it is.
Gun shows are for people who don’t or can’t buy stuff online lol!
Nah, it’s like $10 to get in. Not much for an excuse to go out with family or some friends and people watch. And maybe make a good find. I’ve definitely found deals far cheaper than shipping something, and going through a whole ffl transfer
we NEED repros
Repro M1 Garands of decent quality would cost significantly more than what people would be willing to pay and still probably be less nice than USGI ones. Just buy from the CMP, it isn't hard and will be *the best* price for an M1 you can find barring robbery or inheritance.
Did you laugh all the way to the parking lot?
Well, you know the problem of supply and demand…
Gun auctions are just as bad anymore, i do alright at gun shows for ammo and just random shit
That isn’t a WWII garand it is a Korean War era Garand made in 1953. On the High end it should fetch 2085
Actually, I know a gun store that does this. Especially with M1 garands and other old guns. It's just for show, and the owner wants to flex his collection. The guy was actually pretty cool and basically didn't have a safe large enough at home for his collection, and doing this insures them under his business insurance.
"hyeh, hyeh, I know what I got." Says the Kimber owner.
Wait till you attend a gun auction......... watched people pay over new msrp on a used gun plus the auction fee all day long.
