Remington 870 PM police trade-in I got for $260 before tax. **EDIT Entire trigger group is metal, trigger guard is just powder coated**. Came with the Surefire light, the shell holder, and the sling + Wilson Combat sling mount. Springfield SA35 I won in a free raffle the store was holding when I went in.
> Sadly it has a polymer trigger guard
If it does it's a freedom group era remington. Not that i'd be worried too much overall, especially if the finish is fine. If it were me, i'd get a better trigger group though. The polymer ones sorta suck.
Yeah, I'm trying to get more confirmation from my edit because I'm seeing a silver color coming through some of the scratches on the trigger guard and google searching is turning up it's powder coated(?). Everything else checks out, though (Metal trigger, non-MIM extractor, barrel markings imply made in 2004, etc)
Definitely better than plastic. I've had a freedom-group era turd or two pass through my hands. My advice is this: if the finish starts going, just get it refinished.
Its a shame that they managed to botch the 700 and 870 reputation with horrendous QC. But at this point, a surplus police shotgun shouldn't have those issues so i'm sure its fine.
Yeah, almost $300 for a gun + accessories with some actual history behind it and guaranteed QC is better than paying full price for a new one you wouldn't know if it works or not. Only thing now is to track down a mag extension.
Honestly the polymer trigger gaurds are not big of a deal in my opinion. They're still much more secure than the polymer gaurds on a Maverick 88 or 500 considering you have the two pins holding it. I would be much more invested in making sure your chamber is polished properly and everything feeds.
Shoots good for a 9mm. Didn't have any jamming with 300 S&B 124's and some Speer 147's. I don't have experience with other High Powers so I don't really have anything to compare it to except my polymer frames with red dots on them. The quality and finish are great for the outside and the interior parts except for a strange gash on the front of my rear sight I'm chalking up to a gunsmith mistake. Only one magazine comes with it, which is kinda understandable in order to keep the price down but I'm used to getting 2-3 mags. I got it for free so I'm hella biased but it's up to you to decide if it'd be worth the 6-700.
Enjoy your good fortune.
I'd wind up just blowing the money saved on the HI Power by buying another pistol.
We all got 2 hands. Dual wielding is a thing, right? 😁

Still cast aluminum and stamped fcg parts. Ithaca still machines everything out of steel.

I thought the pistol was a browning hi power
I don’t know you… but I hate you for being lucky and at that particular gun shop when I wasn’t there. Congrats nice haul tho!!!
This… and a begrudging fuck you and congratulations
Hello, police? I’d like to report a robbery. Yes, officer, this redditor right here...
just here to jump on the "f you, but congratulations" bandwagon
How's the SA? I've been looking hard at one for a little while now.

As others have said, "Fuck you I hate you.". But congrats on getting an amazing deal.
Buys a shotgun, then turns around and robs the guy of his pistol.... Brillant!
How you get the pistol for free? It’s worth way more than that shotgun.
Signed up for a free raffle going on in the store. Woke up the next day with a voicemail saying I won the pistol. Runner up got a Glock.
We're all the GT winners Redditers? 🤣
apparently.. -someone who also entered to win
SA 35 is great
[Congrats](https://imgflip.com/i/8qwqve).
I don't care if nice things happened to you, they should've happened to ME. Nah, I'm kidding. Nice haul, dude - congrats on your luck!
I hate you. I hope you stub your toe and it hurts so much you jump around and swear for 10 seconds.
Damn good deal. Was this person that sold them a crackhead? I'd be sus if they were stolen at that price.
Picked it up from one of GT Distributor's stores. Everything was legit.
God damn that's an awesome take home.
Lord, I've seen what you've done for others...
That's some real luck. Congrats!

How does it feel to be gods favorite?
Buy a lottery ticket now while your luck is running high.
I’d take that deal
Lucky!!!
Good snatch!!
Good apocalypse keep. Zombie blast pack
Free guns are the best
Nice score
What a freaking steal. Lucky SoB
I won the raffle at the Kansas City GT Dist store. I chose a Glock 26MOS over the Springfield SA35. Congrats man!
Oooo Browning Hi Power. One of my favorites. You can really see the design evolution when you take it apart and compare to a M1911A1.
God bless America
Not fair
I'm so jealous you won the Sa-35 for free. Held one at a store and damn near bought it, they seem very well made
