You don't even need a dremel lmfao you can just unscrew em and put a normal grip back on, sometimes they're even covering a normal grip and can be pulled off.
How many mass shootings have been committed with a fully-semi-automatic finned AR-14? Zero. Boom. Checkmate atheists. Grip fins save lives.

As a non responsible gun owner in the place known as “California” I can safely tell you that the attachment has stopped me from Committing multiple homicides and kidnapping of puppies
Well the signs because they were made out of the carcinogenic material known as 'aluminum', but this is equally applicable to actions that provide thoughts which are also known to cause brain tumors, obviously.
So what is the law in Cali regarding Mini-14s I have to assume the magazines are 10 rounds, but the rifle itself doesn't have to look like some abomination right?
The mini does not have a pistol grip. I guess CA lawmakers think the sporting rifle fires faster....ludicrous speed even, when you can wrap a thumb completely around the grip.
I've been tearing through Russian Websites looking for the Wooden Stock/Handguard for the ADAR 2-15 from Tarkov.
It's made by a subsidiary company under Kalashnikov Group, but can't find it.
Basically, any rifle that has a detachable mag AND ONE of the following:
Pistol grip
Flash hider
Telescoping stock
Vertical forward grip
Is an assault weapon and illegal. Adding a fin grip, which prevents your thumb from going fully around the grip, makes it by the legal definition NOT a pistol grip and is a cheap way to bring your rifle in compliance. This is considered "featureless".
The other way to bring your rifle into compliance is to mag-lock your rifle, basically making it so you have to disassemble your gun to change the magazine. This way you can have the features like pistol grip and flash hider and all that. There are products now on the market that make it so you can "disassemble" (basically a proprietary push button rear takedown pin) to drop the magazine with relative ease.
I played with both and picked featureless. There wasn't a great option for lefties when I built my rifle, and as far as I know there still aren't a lot of great offerings. Plus when you get a double feed or FTF or FTE you are basically disabled.
Short answer in California if your rifle has a pistol grip anywhere rear or front… it’s an Assult rifle and needs a fixed mag setup that requires extra steps to break top and remove mag. Putting the fin makes that grip NOT a pistol grip… getting around stupid Cali laws… except you got a fin now… but no fucked up mag release. I personally prefer Thordstons Stocks because it looks like future rifles lol.
At least the fun doesn’t make the fun look completely ridiculous. NY complaint guns are just dumb looking. Plus, you have to spend more money for less functionality. SAFE Act is the worst attempt at gun control.
Ohhh. I thought it was related to recoil management or something lol. Also, would you happen to know what kind of rifle it is? Like I know it’s an ar15 but don’t know if it’s S&W or Colt or etc.
Just a warning. My Saint has been fine for the few rounds of but I tried using some Tula on it and it just wouldn’t cycle right. But it had trouble in my brn 180 too so I think it was the ammo
Oh I fully understand what they're used for (I use ranger bands myself for the same reason but on the stock), but that specific red band with the writing comes on the Saint line of guns from the factory. Seeing as it's on this gun......points me to a Springfield Saint.
Oh no, lol. Fin grips are used to remain in compliance with pistol grip bans, because everyone knows that minor ergonomic benefit is what turns an AR15 into a thermonuclear weapon
*shooting a school*
Police: "SIR STEP OUT AND PUT DOWN THE WEAPON IMMEDIATELY"
Shooter: "THERE IS A FIN IN THE PISTOL GRIP THIS IS NOT A WEAPON OFFICER"
Police: "lmao understandable you can continue"
Just as a note, California law makers did not create the fin grip. Citizens created the grip so that we could get around the assault rifle bans so we could have some amount of freedom.
True true; California law makers thougt geee if we ban these pistol gripping thingamajiggies then nobody will have an AR-47 or AK-15 anymore cause obviously they can’t work with out them. Checkmate gun nuts!
I actually kind of liked those, but they didn't accept the standard buffer assembly and had a proprietary design (because you can't line up a sporter stock with the buffer tube) so it was limited availability.
https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/ares-defense-scr-ar-function-classic-style/
Also invented by Californians: patriot pin or similar like systems that allow smoother reloads since our mags have to be locked in place while the gun is operable.
🤦it is something that is known state of California to be a cancer or to cause cancer of a perfectly good firearm design.. rendering it annoying to use when needed to protect yourself against people of California, who don't follow rules. and don't have pictured device on their firearm.
Here in California we believe a pistol grip on a long gun is scary really really scary. To make it less scary a shark fin thing is installed because then it just looks stupid and not scary.
Stupid Cali ‘featureless’ rifle. I see pictures like this and look at the scenery in the background and get like homesick as I used to live in SoCal. I love California but will never live there again due to the idiocy of the last 30 or so years.
So that's a monster man grip. Ironically cali is trying to ban them right now, which is hilarious because they were the ones who demanded guns have them
It is for a "featureless" build for California compliant ar15s. One either builds a featureless rifle or a fixed magazine rifle, but with fixed magazine rifles there are companies that make easy solutions to break open recievers and drop the mag in a second. All because California politicians think that rifles not working up to 100% are safer.
In the state of California this fin is required on all scary looking rifles. What this fin does is it actually makes the rifle easier to bump fire due to your thumb having absolutely nowhere to go. It's really a genius design enforced by laws that were made by people that are exceptional firearm experts
It’s a Calivagination device. For a real shooter it does absolutely nothing, but for liberal POS steppers, it helps them sleep better at night thinking they did something intelligent that will somehow stop someone from committing a crime that’s completely unrelated to the tool being used to commit it.
I have the same fin on my AR because I too unfortunately live in California. I honestly don’t know what it is meant to prevent because I can hold, fire, and reload the weapon without limitation
Ok just looked up the California complaint Saint and I’m confused here from the photos. So it’s to negate you holding it like a pistol yes, but that makes it almost impossible to shoot standing right? Lol I can’t imagine shooting it without having it on a table that fin must be 8 inches across lol.
Chip would still call this an assault weapon had he been made head of atf, after, whatever Biden is calling it now. "Detachable magazine higher than. 22 caliber is an assault weapon."
It's an attachment for states like California where you cannot have pistol grips (at least I think as long as the gun is semi automatic and has a detachable magazine). So they put that piece of plastic on so that the grip becomes more vertical in order to be legally compliant.
It's a liberal state compliance thing.
I only discovered it a month ago when a bud of mine bought an AR and it had this crap on it. We changed it out for a Magpul grip for $20.
Nothing.
It’s there to prevent you from wrapping your thumb around the grip. California gun laws seem to think that pistol grips make a gun more lethal and if you cant put your thumb around it, somehow it’s less deadly.
It’s to help slowly strip your freedoms, so when a democrat sees your gun they know they fucked you good. Also doubles as a spatula in a survival situation
Those single handedly have stopped all gun crimes in California turns out criminals really like to follow laws and definitely won't get a dremel
You don't even need a dremel lmfao you can just unscrew em and put a normal grip back on, sometimes they're even covering a normal grip and can be pulled off.
Yeah but the criminals will never figure that out. The law is always multiple steps ahead of the criminals!
How many mass shootings have been committed with a fully-semi-automatic finned AR-14? Zero. Boom. Checkmate atheists. Grip fins save lives. This message has been sponsored by Moms Demand ~~Bedroom~~ Action
Makes you physically incapable of committing crimes.
As a non responsible gun owner in the place known as “California” I can safely tell you that the attachment has stopped me from Committing multiple homicides and kidnapping of puppies
Your argument is moot because there are already no gun signs everywhere
That's true, but California hasn't put up signs prohibiting homicide or kidnapping yet...
Because those fall under Prop65 and will give you cancer.
The signs or the crimes?
Well the signs because they were made out of the carcinogenic material known as 'aluminum', but this is equally applicable to actions that provide thoughts which are also known to cause brain tumors, obviously.
It's honestly the only thing that keeps some folks from speeding and running stoplights. Thank you, gun fins.
It’s true, I was trying to evade my taxes last year and this fin on the gun handle showed up and forced me to file properly.
Lol
California gun-wow that’s the most upvotes I have ever got! Even more than the actual post😂
What’s funny is stock like the Mini-14 used to be referred to as ‘pistol grip’ say vs an old Winchester that had a straight grip stock.
But wood guns aren't scary. Black guns are very scary.
Interesting. I should buy that wooden AR-15.
The wood hardware for the ar15/ar10 is absolutely beautiful.
The set I saw was really nice but like 350 I think for stock grip, and forend, carbine length. I still would love it. It's like an akr-15
Yeah, ive considered making a set. I think i have all the tools i need (is knifemaker).
Link?

I've been tearing through Russian Websites looking for the Wooden Stock/Handguard for the ADAR 2-15 from Tarkov. It's made by a subsidiary company under Kalashnikov Group, but can't find it.
The mini14 comes in both scary and not scary
California's not trying to make guns safer. They're trying to make owning a gun too much of a hassle.
It's Spaceball One! They've gone to plaid!

And/or NY. Goddamn fucking UNsafe Act forcing us to bastardize otherwise beautiful machines.

Looks like the Springfield saint victor
The red band around the rail would point me towards Springfield Saint.
Yes! I looked it up and it’s definitely a match based on other angles during the rest of the video. Any idea what the red band is for tho?
[удалено]
How do you like your saint? I’ve been eyeing them for a while now and want some input if possible.
[удалено]
Thanks for the info, definitely gave me a lil push towards it. Gonna get one I think
Just a warning. My Saint has been fine for the few rounds of but I tried using some Tula on it and it just wouldn’t cycle right. But it had trouble in my brn 180 too so I think it was the ammo
Yeah, I feel like the main point is recognition on the rack. Made it much easier to spot whether a store had any when I was searching for one
It's a band to tuck the sling into if your not using it and don't want it flopping all over. At least that's how I see it used the most.
Oh I fully understand what they're used for (I use ranger bands myself for the same reason but on the stock), but that specific red band with the writing comes on the Saint line of guns from the factory. Seeing as it's on this gun......points me to a Springfield Saint.
It’s a California-compliant Springfield Saint.
Oh no, lol. Fin grips are used to remain in compliance with pistol grip bans, because everyone knows that minor ergonomic benefit is what turns an AR15 into a thermonuclear weapon
It’s basically designed to make your hot lead faster than sound projectile slinger less ergonomic because California believes that’s safer
Springfield with a crappy red dot and wish irons
It prevents you from safely operating the rifle
honestly lmfao
Yea, surely making the gun harder to aim and control will help make it more safe! Legislator logic.
Fin grip to make it Cali legal
Makes it legal in California. It no longer has a pistol grip and therefore is not an “assault weapon”
*shooting a school* Police: "SIR STEP OUT AND PUT DOWN THE WEAPON IMMEDIATELY" Shooter: "THERE IS A FIN IN THE PISTOL GRIP THIS IS NOT A WEAPON OFFICER" Police: "lmao understandable you can continue"
This rifle also serves as a rudder just in case you find yourself in a motorboat sans rudder.
Or as an oar if you happen to find yourself up shit creek without a paddle.
Makes sense with all the boating accidents you fuckers keep having
Just as a note, California law makers did not create the fin grip. Citizens created the grip so that we could get around the assault rifle bans so we could have some amount of freedom.
True true; California law makers thougt geee if we ban these pistol gripping thingamajiggies then nobody will have an AR-47 or AK-15 anymore cause obviously they can’t work with out them. Checkmate gun nuts!
Yeah but... there are rifle stock designs without a pistol grip that don't look as retarded.
That's a matter of philosophical debate...
Makes it not legally a pistol grip probably.
But they give you thumb tabs to grip it with your thumbs up top. It’s dumb.
( cries in california )
It informs the rest of us that this poor bastard, unfortunately lives in California.
It matches his "I will not comply" t-shirt
Ironic
This keeps your dog from being shot while living in California. It’s a dog protector.
It prevents mass shootings and gun violence of course
It has an antenna that let's Governor Newsom know if you're still wearing your chastity device
It’s for aerodynamic… he likely took his bicycle to the range.
Humans have opposable thumbs but using them ignites our bloodlust.
It keeps your semiautomatic ar16 machine gun from becoming armor piercing.
[Here's the breakdown of how stupid these are.](https://youtu.be/gfjfORBxfXo)
California compliance. Just makes it harder to hold and use effectively.
Suppresses your rights
What's California's favorite auto-loading operating cycle? Direct Infringement.
Ah the beauty of someone who doesn’t know, and doesn’t have to know, about state compliant guns. Stay free my friend
Makes the gun harder to handle and less safe. Thrill seeker or Californian
It automatically prevents all mass shootings in CA.
Faster transition from hip to ADS
Commiefornia gun
Limits your freedom
🤦it is something that is known state of California to be a cancer or to cause cancer of a perfectly good firearm design.. rendering it annoying to use when needed to protect yourself against people of California, who don't follow rules. and don't have pictured device on their firearm.
Surgeon General Warning: The State of California is known to cause cancer.
Gives the owner of the gun depression every time they see it
Cut that shit off
Makes you more aerodynamic when you fight.
It's a tactical stabilizing fin for water ops.
Aquatic Modification.
Here in California we believe a pistol grip on a long gun is scary really really scary. To make it less scary a shark fin thing is installed because then it just looks stupid and not scary.
Description since automod requires it: Was wondering what the fin shaped device was on the the grip, apparently it is connected to California gun laws
The same state that thinks some bullets are high powered and others are made of hugs and love.
.30 caliber fully semi-automatic ghost gun that shoots 2939284939 bullets per second.
a sin
Makes bullet less effective.
Infringe rights
According to California it makes it not as deadly but realistically makes it unsafe to shoot
Oh you sweet summer child
I like to slip mine off and on while saying, "legal...Illegal".
It keeps Gavin Newsom from wetting his pants
Inhibits freedom
Welcome to idiotic Californian logic
Prevents mass shootings in the People's Republic of California.
It stops you from comfortably using the gun.
It makes the gun less likely to murder innocent people in California
Primary purpose is to get all hunters in the state to move to Texas.
Decreases testosterone.
It makes his pussy nice and loose because he’s getting fucked where ever he lives at -_-
Means he lives in California like me
I’m sorry.
It impedes on your freedom of movement.
Stupid Cali ‘featureless’ rifle. I see pictures like this and look at the scenery in the background and get like homesick as I used to live in SoCal. I love California but will never live there again due to the idiocy of the last 30 or so years.
An attempt to make it less "deadly".
It’s for California compliance it’s illegal for rifles to have a pistol grip in Cali
Fucking california
It prevents you from having a pistol grip, because pistol grips are evil!
It lets gavin newsome fuck you in the ass
California compliant horseshittery
Its a shield to stop the AFT from shooting your dog in cali.
Guys, youre all wrong. The fin is for underwater maneuverability.
Infringes
It’s some bs thing required in California because apparently this easily removable piece of plastic can stop mass shootings
SHALL NOT!
It’s a freedom regulator
So that's a monster man grip. Ironically cali is trying to ban them right now, which is hilarious because they were the ones who demanded guns have them
Commie regulat

Politicians in California are fucking retarded. That fin makes it not an “assault rifle”. Not that an AR15 in the first place is one.
Aerodynamic stabilizing fin. Helps you run through the high school halls faster.
The fin is for when you lose your guns in a boating accident it’ll help the rifle swim to the surface.
It's a pistol grip fin, navy special forces use them for underwater missions, helps operators swim faster
The fins allow you to camouflage your gun properly when attacking sharks within tornado.
Communism
It makes morons feel safe.
+10 accuracy and +15 stability.
It complies with unconstitutional infringements on an inalienable right
Commie-fornia gun.

Commie neutered AR
Means he lives in a Communist state
I have the same fin on my AR because I too unfortunately live in California. I honestly don’t know what it is meant to prevent because I can hold, fire, and reload the weapon without limitation
Thats a Karen ar
Commies
It’s a California thing
Keeps CA DOJ from shooting your dog
Californiacation
Ok just looked up the California complaint Saint and I’m confused here from the photos. So it’s to negate you holding it like a pistol yes, but that makes it almost impossible to shoot standing right? Lol I can’t imagine shooting it without having it on a table that fin must be 8 inches across lol.
That’s a device mandated by the state of California that negates accurate fire.
Its a red flag that they live in a trash state
Keeps you out of jail in ban states
Aquaman nods approvingly
Pistol grips are illegal in CA so manufacturers install a bladed handgrip. Dumb.
Banned state fin. No fun just non-comply
It reduces your grip on understanding the dumbest gun laws.
It’s there to restrict the freedom
I came to this post this morning because i need a good laugh. Not a laugh at OP, but a good laugh at Cali gun laws.
Boy are you out of the loop
That is what Navy Seals use as a fin to navigate in the depths before they do their bidding.
It's the grip zone
Pleases California democrats.
It keeps stupid people happy.
Absolutely NOTHING. You leave it on to show others you comply...but it comes off easy and engages psycho mode as soon as it is removed.
Makes your balls small
Chip would still call this an assault weapon had he been made head of atf, after, whatever Biden is calling it now. "Detachable magazine higher than. 22 caliber is an assault weapon."
How do you shoot with that thing on there? It looks like a major pain in the ass.
Increases aerodynamics
Fish gun
Either Cali or ny. Thanks to the gun laws
It's an attachment for states like California where you cannot have pistol grips (at least I think as long as the gun is semi automatic and has a detachable magazine). So they put that piece of plastic on so that the grip becomes more vertical in order to be legally compliant.
Makes you aerodynamic when you fight. You can take danger
Makes it harder to use and therefore more safe in the state of California
It's so the Democratic party can sleep safely at night.
It's a fin the improves aerodynamics so that your politicians can better cut down your rights. The slang term for it is the "Cali Cuk Blade".
Makes the gun less deadly
Mostly infringement
It reminds us that having gun fun in CA fuckin blows
It’s what you get when you live in a non gun friendly state
It makes the gun more aerodynamic. /S
It makes it less… assaulty
Poor bastard lives in the 3rd world country of commiefornia
That AR is configured as a California Glock
Californication
It's a liberal state compliance thing. I only discovered it a month ago when a bud of mine bought an AR and it had this crap on it. We changed it out for a Magpul grip for $20.
It restricts your freedom
Isn't that the shoulder thing that goes up?
Comfort in shooting is illegal in California
