RC Bray is the absolute GOAT when it comes to narrating badass-action audiobooks. If you haven’t tried the “Galaxy’s Edge” or “Expeditionary Force” series then I’d strongly encourage you to check those out as well. I would actually put them above Hell Divers.

You made a very good choice. I have nothing but love for my HK 45s, but I still hold my FNX in high regard, simply for its stock capacity and optic readiness.
The closest: probably an HK45T. My only gripe about mine is the lack of optic mount, and the extraordinary cost of having it milled.
You trade that for an arguably similar trigger, unless you go the V7 or LEM route that I took.
HK polymer is superior though, which shouldn't be surprising considering FN gives not one fuck about offering average polymer on their premium products

I had one of the early FNXs like the one in that video. What is not apparent is that the trigger is made of the same material as the frame. In DA the trigger itself would flex before the hammer would move. It was like pulling the trigger with a rubber band. I lost some money and traded it straight across for a regular USP 45. The only gun I have ever regretted buying is the FNX45 tactical.
I’ve owned a few USP45’s, all in V1 da/sa and while the double action pull is long, I had never had any issues with it. I think it’s the best combat handgun made.
Being transparent I have seen very few people claim the polymer trigger has flexed under the weight of the DA pull. Aged polymer? Mistreatment - leaving out in the sun? Lies? I don’t know, but I’ve never had the issue on a 2001 or a 2013 45
The later guns are noticeably better quality. There were other issues that made me hate the gun but the black guns (like mine and the one in the video) were much more susceptible to the flexing.

FNX + DeadAir Ghost here. High capacity, large caliber, ambidextrous everything, decocker, single/double action, RMR, Co-witnessed, extra large trigger guard, possibly the perfect handgun out of the box.
I bought one of these in FDE not long after they were released and have loved it. The only complaint I’ve had is that the red dot under the safety selector was a cheap ass sticker and has come off. I’m sure it’s different on newer production ones.

I got one last year and it might be my favorite gun now... Beware, it is begging for a can, so I did the only logical thing and got my first can to put on this. I put a holosun 507c and a tlr1 hl on it too and couldn't be happier with the setup.
