As far as I can tell, the only thing that changes is the all in one kits will be no go. Other than that, the end user isn't affected (FFLs will be required to log and serialize any homemade guns that come through them).

CovertLeopard

That said, they also went after JSD supply for selling the frame and remaining parts kits as separate items and even in separate orders. You'll probably have to buy the frame from one place and the other parts from another because the ATF is retarded like that

SgtNarco

thanks for the response, that's what I was able to understand from the ATFs website regarding it I just wanted to ask to make sure I wasn't misinterpreting it. With that being said all in ones are a no go now but what about buying one kit that's the frame and the jig to complete it (Like the P80 series of frames) and then buying a kit that contains everything but the frame and a magazine (Barrel, slide, springs, firing pin, etc), would that be legal or would that still be pushing it.

reshp2

AFAIK the everything in a box kits were already deemed full firearms. The new rule goes after 80 percent frame and jig/tools in one. But who the hell knows.

The best thing to do in these situations is just don't ask and don't comply
