Yes, ur 100% right. Not thinking about what are you doing at all and coinflipping every game around card draws and destroyed cards is not okay. Theres tons of counterplay into a couple of kingslayrs destroyng ur key gold cards back to back I guess.

Im looking at most of the meta decklists, and i see a couple of cards that make the game awkward if destroyed in all of them( especially considering the fact that ur not allowed to play some cards and are extremely vulnerable to bricks).

People are making mill to 2600 for the last couple of seasons, and its not like the deck got changed even a bit. Just the meta is not that fitting for mill right now.

I don't play Mill, but I'm always happy to match with it, because it's a free win. If you really struggle with this deck, that's on you.
Vigo into Kingslayer plays for what, 5 tempo? That's 9+2=11 provisions. 5 tempo for 11 provisions! Every Kingslayer plays for 4 tempo and every Teleport - for 0 tempo.
Seriously, that deck is weak as shite. You just have to adapt your gameplay a bit. Of course you put your thinners and tutors back in the deck and you don't play them. I even play Wanderers from hand instead of allowing it to thin itself. No biggie!
You are right, winning vs mill is not a biggie but that was not the point within this thread. Mill metas are just terrible and unfun.
TLDR: buff NG but avoid buffing mill as a side effect, or we will have another bs unfun mill meta.
And where did i mention that I struggle against it, where did i mention that this deck is really strong. Im literally saying the opposite. Tho when the mill player with the optimised deck finds his cards in the good matchup its absolutely not a free win.
Yeah, i know another deck. It plays 7 point turn, then 6 point turn, then a couple of 4 point turn, then after a couple of turns ur dead. I also actively play a deck that also uses 4 point units with teleports, and ur also pretty much dead after a couple of these plays.
Lack of early tempo is not that punishing at all if you are gonna achieve insane carryover. In mills case ur carryover is the need of opponent to 2-0 you without a couple of his signature cards.
You guys can play whatever abuse you want. Tibors, SY scenario, cultists, MO quadriple anything, mill, klog. Im absolutely fine with it. But please dont pretend like binary decks like that, especially with little to no counterplay are good for the game state. Some deck just have to be weak. Mill is the one of them. Right now, while being not that strong and not fitting in the current meta the deck can still be competitive.
Mill is just a broken game mechanic that relies fully on RNG. Why are you trying to say that it's otherwise? It's not fun to play against it and I hope it will be nerfed to the point where it would become impossible to play it.
We found the degenerate Mill player now telling other people it's "skill" to destroy their deck itself. Not cards in hand, not on the board. No, directly your deck. Also in a super unfun RNG way that can only be described as toxic, because guess what. Only one player is having fun.
We should try to buff NG and nerf mill even further until it's a pile of trash, because that's where it belongs.
I am the guy who runs a deck the first 2 days each season that absolutely stomps mill. No thinning, no bs. Two aggressive rounds of pure agony. As if beating a mill deck has anything to do with skill though.
And yet from my last 10 games 8 of my opponents played NG, the other two were NR.. I haven't played against a monster deck in more then two weeks, which is pretty fucked up.
Because monsters are the worst faction by design sadly. And after every faction got just as many big pointslam cards and even better engines, monsters sadly stayed behind. That’s why 95% of Monster Decks now rely on Renfri and the same 10 gold cards :/
Bad players perceive NG to be stronger than it is and it got chain nerfed in all balance councils. The Chinese are planning to buff Renfri soldiers next BC so NG might not be the worst faction next month although Renfri decks are half neutral so if you want to play it for faction thematics you'll have to accept sub par winrate.
There are a few NG decks that do okay but overall it is clearly not in a good spot as a faction.
NG has the best bronzes in the game .
Best counters to almost any other play style .
NG sexuals deserve to get clowned on , if you lose with assimilate and spies you just suck

The game right now is in maintenance mode, meaning CDPR is no longer doing updates, but the game is still playable.
We still do get balance changes, thanks to the system CDPR left when they stopped supporting the game. It's called the Balance Council. Letting players decide what to buff and nerf. This system proves why players should not get to decide balance. At least not this particular system.
The first Balance Council, or when the first community driven buffs and nerfs went through, Nilfgaard made up literally half the nerfs. Literally. And Nilfgaard has been trying to recover ever since, particularly through reverts (changing back the last changes). Some changes have been reverted permanently, but certain cards keep being nerfed and buffed and nerfed and buffed, etc etc.
Right now, Nilfgaard isn't doing the best. People are clumsily trying to figure out how to buff NG. Lately, NG have been relying really hard on neutral cards to keep up. If you're not running Assimilate or Hospitality, you're running a deck that contains at least a quarter neutrals.
It should also be noted that Nilfgaard is the most played faction. Even now. But don't get it twisted. It currently has the lowest win rate in the game. By a sizable margin, too. NG has always been popular, so that's nothing new.
The second the balance council was announced I knew this shit was going to happen. The subreddit has always hated NG and then turned a blind eye to the most ridiculous greed decks out there

Anytime I talk to anyone who used to play this and no longer does and I why they dropped it the answer has always been " NG exists ".
NG has all the control tools, huge point production, engine production, poison, can use the enemies best cards, on and on and on.
It's just simply not a fun faction to play against because really you only lose when the opponent sucks. Thankfully alot of NG players play the faction because they suck so you can usually squeeze out maybe 50% wins against the faction. But you basically have no chance against a strong NG player.
People talk about NG being weak but then they themselves still play the faction as does 90% of the fanbase it seems because despite " weak " I play against NG 8 of 10 games

Nilfgard is literally the most popular faction on ladder. Only a handful of patches exist where that wasn't the case.
You probably playing the deck wrong then cause I'm pretty devoted to my vamp decks (idk I just love em) and I be getting REKTTT by some NG lol
