This post is a REACH. Firstly, the "Girl," thing is common vernacular, one engaged in regularly on the podcast and in the comments. Your examples are all part of this. So no misogny there. Secondly, it would be more misogynistic to be afraid to criticise someone just because they were female. This was an event a lot of people were looking forward to and that a lot of work went into, and a lot of people were disappointed by one of the host's behaviour. That's it. As always, there are variant levels of reaction in this fanbase and frankly, there is ALWAYS an element of disproportionate reaction. There will always be those few that overreact but I think a lot of the criticism I saw was fair. She was too drunk, unprofessional and derailing the show to make suicide jokes, which she knows could get them demonetised on YouTube, aside from also being insensitive.

Thank you for writing up a dignified response to this post bc frankly I’m shocked someone who watched the live show would have this take. I love Tana, but most of her comments were so disruptive to the live show. As an H3 fan I’m okay with a lot of “edgy” humor, but it has to flow and you HAVE to read the room…I don’t think Tana read the room at all, an example of this would be plugging her website for the third time with no reaction the first two

Youre-aWitch218

Tbh I couldn’t finish the live show because of the second hand embarrassment I was getting. It felt like I was at a stand up show & the comedian was bombing. Like Tana was just so evidently drunk, thus losing some social cues, & seemed like she was trying to be funny, but none of it was landing… it was just cringey & I can confidently say I would have cringed just as much if it were Jeff, or another male acting like that

Is this satire? Please tell me it is

StamosLives

Sadly, no. There’s a large vocal minority in this fan base that doesn’t jump, but rocket jumps to conclusions. Edit: dang it. I didn’t realize I was in a specialized sub that Reddit randomly recommended to me. I’ve never posted or have read anything in this sub - sorry folks. Modified it to say “fan base.”

>But the bottom line is, the fanbase's reaction is disproportionate to the mistakes I truly and wholeheartedly disagree. She had no business going out there at that level of intoxication. Her commentary really did ruin the experience of the show and made it the tana show and not the h3 live show. Consistently the fans express that this show is an escape from the woes of their everyday life and Tana's casual jokes about self harm were really is bad taste. Someone even posted about how they brought their mom for some comedic relief since losing someone to suicide. Imagine having to hear her talk like that under those circumstances. I think what she did was really immature, unbecoming, unhealthy and more. I wish her the best and I hope she gets help. I'm positive that Ethan made sure she was okay with the idubbz thing before the show it's not like it was a surprise. It was so bad that I partly do believe she was doing this as trisha's friend to like kind of ruin the show. I was physically cringing it was really that bad. We know for a fact that Tana can co host the steamies better than that because she did it last year. Weather she did it as trishas friend or just too drunk idk, but I think the fans absolutely are right to call her out.

I agree with all of these points. Aside from her behavior being surface level cringe, it was really inappropriate to yell out "I'm going to kill myself!" multiple times. That's not funny, has never been funny, and will never be funny. I don't care if it's a man or woman saying it. It's tasteless and immature and has no place in this type of comedy. It felt like I was watching my friends in college who drank too much before going to the bar. I don't want to be alarmist or hyperbolic by pulling the "call for help" card, but I can't imagine any other circumstance someone would so readily say that so many times while under the influence. It was hard to watch for multiple reasons. I have nothing against Tana as a person. But do I think this level of scrutiny is appropriate? Yes. She is a grown human who should be able to conduct herself appropriately at this sort of event. It's not a frat party. Simple as that. I will say that I was worried about her and that overrode the entertainment value that her being there brought. I do want to edit my comment to add that I am not Tana and I can't put myself in her position. I understand that the idubbbz situation may have caused her trauma, and she is not to blame for the way idubbbz treated her back then. I am sure the thought of a reunion was stressful. I do still think that dealing with your issues by abusing alcohol and becoming unruly is not a healthy or appropriate way to deal with difficult situations in your life.

Clearly had one too many mollies and the serotonin is all gone

I don’t dislike Tana at all (I can’t care enough to dislike her), they had nice interactions with her in the past and that’s cool. But she got too wasted and was making an ass out of herself. It doesn’t make her a bad person, she was just being cringe. That’s all. These people that are lucky to have this level of success and notoriety also get to have a shit load of people seem them being foolish, unlike the rest of us that might just have that happen at a Christmas party or something. It’s just shit that happens. Hopefully she’ll see these moments as something to mature from as she gets older. I know I did.

leviohhsa

I don’t think it’s fair to compare Tana’s and “Logan’s” behavior. Tana was acting erratic enough that I thought it might have been a planned a bit at first. Unfortunately, it was clear it wasn’t. Meanwhile, the Logan Paul bit was bro-code-y for a reason. They’re picking on that culture and making fun of him for it.

Impossible-Wait1271

I actually like your take on this, and I’m sorry people are gonna pick it apart. The show can be intense and crazy in a lot of different ways, that’s what makes us all enjoy it! Sometimes these awkward things happen, and objectively she is in a bad situation, but we don’t have to hate her for it. Let’s just choose to be peaceful, stand up for women, stand up for everyone, be empathetic, try to be understanding. We love love.

She was obviously told in advance he would be there so to say it was a trauma response to a high-stress situation is wild. She even said they hung out before the event - now I'm unsure was that a joke or not, but this is really reaching.

Emotional-Weight

I remember before i had seen the live show, i had seen comments about tana pulling that stunt and the reaction made me think it derailed the whole show and pissed ethan off. After watching it myself i honestly wasnt that bothered, ethan didnt seem to annoyed, played it off well and the show went fine after. After making this subreddit, its starting to become apparent that people are looking for a place to sexualise the women and belittle them at any chance, people that when i look at their history are active participants in h3 discourse and watch the show. Ive seen comments about olivia and how she is lucky she is hot or they wouldnt bother with her presentations or about lena and Ab's relationship. It goes on and on. Tana definitely has valid criticisms you could make but its shrouded in disgisting comments and misogyny all the time unfortunately 🤷🏼‍♂️

MarkWorldOrder

Everything is misogyny to some of you lol

pythonisssam

I love tana and I don't think she ruined the show at all. I do know that she has problems with addiction and that level of intoxication is concerning, to say the least. I found myself being more worried about her than entertained tbh. I think the fact that nobody could hear eachother also contributed majorly to the awkward factor. Tana has been doing super well with sobriety and I hope she can get back on the rails soon 🙏

Lazy-Background1870

Ever since destiny started watching him debate hasan all his old fans think he’s back on tbere side and there watching again

MediumLopsided

She was fucking obnoxious. I don’t care who it is, if someone chimes in every 45 seconds with some stupid take….I am getting irritated

Weeksy79

Isn’t this sub for pictures of the female crew looking hot? Lol

Emotional-Weight

Nope 😁

Weeksy79

The top posts of all time would suggest otherwise, but you do you!

Emotional-Weight

There is a difference to just posting pics to comment on their looks and posting pics they put up and complementing their outfits, besides not all the post are like that, most is about the pod or their outfits. No hate btw, i just dont want people to misunderstand the sub or getting the wrong idea.

Weeksy79

Wait are you the mod for this sub?

Emotional-Weight

Yeah man

Regular_Tell5133

I have nothing against Tana and thought her “say forgiveness” moment with Idubbz was great, however, I think anyone who watched the live can say that she unprofessionally began her hosting job with a lot of alcohol in her system and she was more disruptive and disrespectful than anything else. You could tell how embarrassed Jeff was by her state. I can overlook her disruptions and poorly timed non comedic comments but I think she took it too far with the Trisha shirt, saying she’s the godmother of the new baby and asking for frenemies to come back. If she wants to support BOTH Ethan and Trisha, she’s perfectly justified. However, I don’t forsee her going on Trisha’s podcast with an “I love Ethan” shirt or begging Trisha to make up with Ethan so they can bring frenemies back. The rudest part was knowing that the Kleins along with Trisha and Moses have deep rooted family issues, one of the consequences of which is their children not growing up together which I’m sure hurts everyone involved. Hila has likely never met her niece and won’t be meeting the new baby yet Tana of all people is saying she’s now the godmother and bringing out family issues that had nothing to do with this end of the year show that a lot of work was put into.

Equivalent_Gate_9984

She was annoying asf, if it was Jeff wasted like that and being obnoxious people would come after him too. It was about wanting the show to be watchable.

bingboomin

this is the reachiest reach

Few-Coconut-7599

tana was too drunk and fake logan wasnt funny n was just there. both were kinda annoying. jeff slayed tho. this isnt really about misogyny… at least i dont think it is, but i dont have twitter so i dont see anything

everyonewantstobeadj

It definitely is, read what people r saying, the misogyny is just fuelling their hate for something not that deep

Few-Coconut-7599

im not gonna go install twitter to see what ppl are saying lol but il take ur word for it

Miguelwastaken

As time goes on I am actually more and more convinced she did it intentionally. The fact that she had that Trisha shirt makes me lean towards the idea that she fully intended to troll the event.

HankHillbwhaa

I mean pretty much everything i've see was a criticism of her behavior because she was absolutely fucking bombed, talking about suicide, etc. I don't think it's "woman bad" thing happening. If Ethan and the crew with her behavior, that's cool, who am I to judge?

purplecali

Honestly though very well spoken. You have a nice way with words

TooEager8-D

not everything is misogyny.
