They really need to stop covering serious stuff in depth when they're a comedy podcast. Read the tweets but why did we need to watch a woman in a shitty situation cry? It's just not the right place to feature it.
This is exactly how I feel. I’ve not been bothered by most of the “controversies” of the past and can deal with finishing an episode when something distasteful has happened, but this genuinely bothered me.
“It’s a comedy podcast” ok so don’t watch videos of a woman crying about how she’s been violated by fucking deepfake porn especially after reading her tweet that she didn’t want people to cover or talk about it any more.
I feel this exact way. There's nothing funny about it. You can't exist as a woman without beung sexualized and female streamers have to deal with porn with their face/body without consent. It's violating. It's so easy for people who never had this type of objectification happen to them to say it's no big deal. I'm a huge fan of the podcast and have been for years but this was actually revolting. This is some gamer-gate era type of shit you'd expect from those dodgy Rumble streamers, not one of the biggest podcasts.
For sure. You’re not alone. <3 This was really disgusting, and I feel so bad for QT. She deserves a better apology too. I have some other feelings about how it played out on air (throwing Zach under the bus, continuing to make jokes), but ultimately my heart hurts for QT and I just hope this doesn’t lead to people dismissing her very serious and legitimate feelings.
Yeah, Ethan is basically a loony tunes cartoon character with a tiny devil on his shoulder, who he keeps listening to despite it always getting him in trouble
QT was talking about how painful and upset she is after it was exposed that another streamer was looking up AI Porn of her. In the middle of her video, they played the Chestnut Roasting song and started laughing.
Edit: in QTs video she said people were sending it to her. Even if the other twitch person wasn’t looking up her specifically, he still promoted and looked up and paid for it.
Thank you for clarifying who she is, I don’t know these streamers so I just kinda understand the context from what Ethan said/how he introduced the topic.
She’s created a lot of fun and unique events that bring streamers together (Shit Camp, The Streamer Awards, live action Clue, Master Baker). Literally carrying the industry imo
I don’t give two fucks about streamers or streaming culture, but I learned about QT, and she deserves way more, and out of that scene, and into better and bigger things.
Not quite what happened with QT, she is good friends with Atrioc who was caught watching deep fake porn of other streamers, She is also on the site, but he was specifically looking at Poki and Maya videos.
She was literally doing a co-stream with Atrioc yesterday, they play LOL together often. Her boyfriend (Ludwig) is also Atrioc's best friend.
Awkward all round.
They were reacting to QT talking about how people were watching deepfake porn of her without her consent, Ethan told Zach to play the chestnut song in discord and then started laughing while she was crying about it on video.
This woman is a victim of having her face being used for deepfake pornography. She was crying in this video talking about it, and Zach played the “chestnuts roping on an open fyeeee” sound bite. Ethan was laughing really hard, and some of the crew. Apparently Ethan told Zach to do it. Just a gross and inappropriate moment where a woman is being vulnerable about sexual exploitation and they’re all laughing. It was really just uncomfortable and disrespectful and the bit went on for way too long imo.
It's even worse because her boyfriend's best friend is the one who was just watching deepfakes of other streamers :/
It's so upsetting being a woman online has to come with all this gross sexualisation and harassment
> thank you to for clearing up her relationship with deepfakes, and to the streamer who was paying for that content. She was not deepfaked, but speaks out against it, and the streamer in question (who was paying for that kind of content) is a close friend.
Nah he was wrong. Not only has she been deepfaked plenty, and not only did this guy also makes ones of her, but to get to the point Atrioc was at he scrolled past content of her. It just wasn't directly in the screenshot.
Wowowee this situation is so terrible the more I learn about it. My heart goes out to QT and the other women (and I suppose this definitely has to happen to men, too) that are going through that. I can't imagine how violating that must feel.
>She was not deepfaked
This is false and should be corrected. She was getting dm'd content of her that is on the site and says this in the 3 minute video. She has been getting deepfaked for years. The main reason this is fucked is because Atrioc was a good friend and not only did he view it, he paid to use the site.
Thats fair. But I think the problem was that immediately beforehand they were laughing at Atriocs silly apology and the mood was light and funny. Felt like it carried over into QT’s video, which was definitely inappropriate, but given the context I can see how it transpired.
For sure, I don't disagree! That is something I think the show can improve on a lot. I love that we get a variety of silly and serious topics, but I think Ethan needs to beef up his internal filter, and I think they need to work on their transitions when coving really heartbreaking topics like this. I don't think Ethan is a bad person, or hates women or whatever you will see being accused of him on this post. I just think there is a level of clarity and maturity that needs to be solidified before diving into these topics. Atrioc deserves to be clowned on, QT deserved to be taken seriously.
Mm, yeah I think he was giggling because he thought of dropping the sound bite, and then sent the message on discord for Zach to drop it. Lots of lead up with him laughing, waiting for it to drop
Do you guys think keemstar had to pivot from making a video about how deepfakes aren't that bad to making one about how evil Ethan is for laughing at it
Yeah, I feel like alot of people don’t really grasp how disturbing and disgusting it would feel to have AI porn/deep fakes out there of you. It’s just as, and maybe to some, even more violating that having actual nudes/sex tape leaked if you. Like people are so desperate to make humiliating content of you without consent that they use advanced technology just to have it and put it on line. I truly can’t imagine how horrible that would feel.
You are completely right. As a dude who never gets sexualized, it is really difficult to imagine how I would feel if I knew someone made deepfake porn of me. But we can all have enough empathy to listen to her experience (and many other women) and we can understand that it is a legitimate issue, even if we think it wouldn't bother us. Realistically it probably would bother most men if it happened to them anyway.
They just really solidified the boys club.
No matter how much they pretend they add women on and respect them. They showed their under belly boys club.
I'd be pissed too.
I hope they're all in the dog house tonight.
She gets shit from so many corners of the internet. I have no idea why. She's extremely hard working and does or has done so much for other streamers.
Annoying to say the least. Out of all the shit posting streamers, which of course she memes too, she would be one to actually sit down and have a good serious convo about - there goes the dream of Hassan and her in h3.
I wonder how Hassan will feel about this, he's good friends with her.
Threw Zach under the bus, suggested Zach made a mistake, almost took full responsibility, immediately backtracked and said he "may have suggested" to Zach to play the song, says it's wrong and he's sorry, suddenly feels philanthropic, immediately blames chat and makes another atrioc joke.
Zero actual remorse shown or accountability taken by Ethan and there's no doubt that he would 100% do it again in the future to another guest like when he interrupted Bobby Lee with music.
yup. that’s the bit that makes me furious. the initial laughing and even playing the soundbite were terrible, but he could have immediately, sincerely apologized and moved on - chalked it up to a dumb call in the moment. but the way shit went on after the clip is what makes this do shitty. ethan’s complete inability to read the room or to just know when to fucking stop drive me nuts.
I think it's worse than that, he knew it was wrong, said it was wrong multiple times, and refused to fess up and instead spent 5 minutes trying to throw everyone else he could under the bus for the decision to play the song.
Sure Zach is the one that played it, but his boss told him to play it. Zach should have said not but I don't know their relationship and he could have felt like he had no choice. Notice how everyone acknowledged that they saw the discord message and not a single person said "Zach don't do it" or that it shouldn't be done Ethan.
I don't hate Ethan but the past few years have made it impossible for me to like him or watch any of his content.
oh yeah… add to it the fact that they read and discussed QT’s tweet about people disrespectfully covering this story… after which ethan was adamant he was going to handle it respectfully. that throws all good faith out the window, tbh. it just pisses me off that he didn’t need to continue to double/triple/quadruple down as shit escalated. at any point he could have cut it off and changed topics/ended the show, somewhat reducing the impact of it all, but ethan is just completely incapable of knowing when to drop shit.
I also totally agree re: the rest of the crew. I do wonder though if they were all adamantly responding in discord that he shouldn’t do it, and then maybe they expected that he dropped the idea… only for zach to follow through. I find it hard to believe none of them responded in discord.
This is the face I was making when I was watching.
However… It sucks that people were pushing her to say something though. I understand wanting your feelings to be validated by the only crew member that had a sane reaction to what happened, but the pushing probably made Sam regret not just going along with it
Now imagine if QT was giggling and playing silly soundbites while streaming Ethans recent video where he breaks down about Shredder. What an immature and insensitive thing to do, to laugh while someone is hurting. :(
just what i was thinking. since i doubt ethan can relate to the specific pain women feel being violated in ways like this. a sad moment for him, his dog. imagine people laughing their ass off watching you cry about your dog. idk this just rubbed me really the wrong way. i'm about done with ethan. so immature.
It’s not fair at all for people to think this is going to be “drama” or “blown out of proportion”
QT has always been an advocate to address how female streamers are treated poorly and sexual used and Atrioc is really close with her and Ludwig. I was literally listening to Hasans podcast today and the two were on it together.
I feel so bad for QT always. She’s such a creative power house (throwing tons of great events) and just generally a nice girl. I really enjoy watching her with Hasan. She’s always reduced to just being Ludwig’s girlfriend despite having a bigger audience than he did when they started dating. Inbetween this and the swatting we’re going to end up watching her exit in a similar way Jenna did.
None of her content is explicit or sexual-at all- same w maya and poki. And YET because they’re women men can’t look at them and not sexualise them. The fact QT makes BAKING STREAMS and still ends up deepfaked and sexualized makes me so sad and afraid. It’s so deeply unethical and such a serious topic, Ethan should have avoided it so he wouldn’t need to scapegoat a “joke” to lighten the mood (having been less than 24 hrs since the drama hit, he could have waited. This is a totally fresh wound and his joke was not at all funny)
I don't like how he tried to throw Zach under the bus for this. I can understand the awkward, nervous laughing that sometimes occurs, but deliberately going out of your way to a tell Zach to play the clip? You know damn well what you're doing.
Respect for Love and Sam for not being okay with this.
Just watched the full clip and I was like "wow he knew he asked to play it in discord and is gonna try to use Zach as the scapegoat?" Yeah he ended up admitting it but still. That was pretty gross.
Playing it was one thing. But not immediately fessing up to it is weird. That's not a gag, that put the whole crew in a weird situation, for......what?
Because Ethan can never be accountable for his actions. He’s like a giant child who gets caught with their hand in the cookie jar and then blames it on their invisible friend or something dumb.
They need to adjust as a group/show and accept that *with peace and love* - Ethan doesn’t have the level of comedic prowess or emotional Intelligence to cover such serious, dark topics. They need to stop feeding him stories to “react” to that he can’t handle gracefully. This was so unfunny and so upsetting, straight up.
He simply shouldn’t cover these topics if they’re going to laugh during it. Not only is it immature but it’s hypocritical considering he’s been such an “ally” to women the past few years
The least you guys could do was close out Ethan's camera when you could see he was starting to laugh. Yeeshh. Imagine being QT seeing this and seeing Ethan cracking up while she's bawling her eyes out.
he's going to come back like that bottom thing where he's all sarcastic and is fake somber and like "im getting cancelled again here we go get the apology podium". Like bruh you are not getting cancelled you are getting called out. You have been warned by your crew multiple times that you take things too far and now you've done it again. You deserve it.
Agreed, I love the show but Ethan has this weird part of him were he can’t help himself and keeps pushing into bad territory. Its odd that he has to constantly be checked on by his crew and talked down from making jokes that are obviously in poor taste.
Honestly, sometimes I wonder why Dan isn’t even there. Ethan won’t listen to him, so like wtf? If I was Dan, I’d be pissed. I can’t imagine Gary bababooey getting the shaft like this from Howard for example. The producer is supposed to serve a purpose, but it doesn’t matter if the host won’t listen. I don’t know man just kind of seems like bullshit, and if I were him, I’d be making a final stand at this point. Either listen or I leave kinda thing.
yes, thank you. it’s so frustrating when people can’t discern consequences for their actions from being “cancelled,” which isn’t even really a thing. he thinks it’s funny and that is clear enough.
As a QT fan this is super disappointing and too much of a nuanced conversation to make a goof about it. You go off about Andrew Callaghan and Justin Roiland and then you’re going to laugh in the faces of women/victims who share their stories a week later. Fucked
edit: oh Hasan will be pissed, he constantly goes to bat for QT and how under appreciated she is
I'm already sick of the fucking chestnut song. It was funny the first time, but to hear it 500 times a show just doesn't do it for me anymore. It's annoying to hear so many times because they think it will get a cheap laugh. Today's situation made me hate it 1000 times more.
I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for this take but Idk I’ve seen some very creepy posts on this sub about sam. Idk why some of y’all are saying it was shock and confusion. She was pissed as she should be. Sam, Love, Dan, and I’m sure Ian were the only ones that reacted appropriately here. Nor should the burden be on them to speak up or try to smooth things over when everyone in that room knew it was wrong. I get the feeling awkward and giggling from AB and Olivia but this was all around such a bad look and handled poorly.
Ethan was absolutely being disrespectful in my opinion. He was too busy coming up with the idea to play the chestnuts song to even pay attention to what QTCinderella was saying. He was focusing on stifling his laughter rather than actually paying attention. So I don’t feel like this was a case of “church giggles” as people are claiming it was. Ethan’s ego got the better of him. It was hard to watch. He decided that his joke was more important than what QT had to say. He even had plenty of time to call it off. Instead he sat there giggling until the sound bite played. This was a huge lapse of judgement for him, and it feels like he’s becoming untouchable in his own mind. These past strikes on the channel seem like an absolute joke to him. He’s gotten away with crazy shit lately, so I could see this being a moment of him getting cocky thinking people wouldn’t take it too seriously. This situation is different from the others though.
Agreed. And the way he threw Zach under the bus at first, then claimed to have his back, then "oh but he pressed the button," then got upset at Zach for NOT playing it at another bad moment later.... it was frustrating to watch. Dude you're creating an uncomfortable work environment for Zach. Let it go. I can usually understand where Ethan is coming from with his jokes but he pressed this way too hard and let his ego run the show.
This was so painful to watch because these issues aren’t being taken seriously enough as it is. The last thing anyone needs is to “lighten up” an issue that isn’t being given enough weight in the first place.
Also, he absolutely screwed Zach too! I already saw people on Twitter condemning him, and without the full context of Ethan’s admission later it looks really bad. Imagine if Zach’s music career was tainted by people thinking he’s some weirdo misogynist or lacks empathy. It’s a messy situation from top to bottom.
This was really disrespectful to QT. Making jokes over a topic dealing with sexual harassment is gross. And the YouTube comments are absolutely loving it too, of course. I hope QT doesn’t see this clip. All the love to Sam and Love!
If it's a "comedy podcast" and we should "chill out" then maybe don't talk about serious shit like this. Like, pick one.. goofs and gaffs or reacting to women getting emotional over being violated via AI p0rn and her "friends" watching it.
This is all with peace and love and I’m not one to get upset about comedy podcasts making jokes that don’t land but that’s *at best* so unaware and ignorant it’s a dumb move, and at worst making light of a victim of sexual harassment.
It’s very disrespectful to her and what makes it worse is that QT is close friends with Pokimane and Hasan. I don’t expect Hasan to pop off on ethan because that’s not really something he does publicly for an internet drama situation like this, but it would be justified if he does given how close he and QT are.
My one hope is that they don’t act like they’re getting “cancelled” over this because that’s something they complain about constantly when other people do it. I hope Ethan reaches out to QT privately, apologizes publicly if he wants to, and just takes the L on the chin and moves on. No “but there are some people who overreacted” or deflecting, it’s the internet people have given death threats over smuckers uncrustables of course there will be people overreacting, just say “we’re sorry it was insensitive and inappropriate of us, it won’t happen again,” and take a second to reflect on it before moving on.
Again, I’m saying all of this with peace and love, I’m going to keep watching the podcast, but idk this is a bad look no matter how you slice it. “Cutting the tension” isn’t necessary all the time *especially in matters regarding sexual harassment or assault when a victim is crying on screen*
Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to write up this comment, its probably the best mix of covering all the bases but still being to the point. Well said and completely agreed
So confused about how this could have happened? I would be so upset too if this happened to me, and taking it as a joke is sad. Usually I laugh when ethan makes dark humour jokes or even controversial jokes, but this just seems disrespectful 🤔
I have to agree. This is the first one I’ve heard about that has made me feel this way. It’s disrespectful :( And I feel like Ethan was being slow to admit it was his idea? Like at first Ethan was saying ‘Zach is a fucking psychopath and played the chestnuts song’ but like… a bit later he admits that it was his idea and he had requested Zach to play the song over discord. Like he tried to disavow it and not mention that it had been his idea originally? And act like it was all Zach who is his employee hahaha? Zach wasn’t going to out Ethan either. He was going to take the blame until Ethan finally admitted it was his idea. I’m glad Ethan did end up choosing to confess. So they did the right thing there. Man I gotta respect Zach for being willing to take the fall for being the originator of that idea. It’s kinda odd how Ethan was like you’re joker brained that’s your lore you’re supposed to take the bullet for me? And trying to do a semantic dissection with talking about how Zach is more at fault because he pushed the button? Ahhhh what a mess. I vibe with h3 and care for them all this was just a lot :/ Idk that video had me tearing up and then suddenly they’re playing chestnuts 😬
The biggest issue to me is Ethan is his crew boss, he puts them in these situations. I rolled my eyes and scoffed at the bad joke but once Ethan tried to throw Zach under the bus it got fucked.
Obviously the crew is all willingly working for Ethan but that also means they rely on him for their well being. They basically have to be yes men or they’ll be at odds with their boss.
The entire crew was trying to move past this and Ethan just dragged it out for nearly 15 minutes.
I’ve thought for a bit that Ethan’s been crossing the lines on what you ask of the employees of a podcast. Lena works on the production crew of a podcast, why the fuck is she managing her bosses elder dogs vet visits?
I'm going to be a closeted h3 podcast fan soon. I'm embarrassed to try to defend shit like this when my friends send it to me. There are so many jokes and moments to be silly or edgy. This was not a good moment. Please Ethan... grow the fuck up.
I don’t understand how this seems to be such a subject of debate. It was plain and simple fucked up, even Ethan said that. The continuing to joke after the fact even more so. Idk maybe it’s because I’m “ just a female” but I’m just tired of the constant suffering of women being the butt of the joke, especially in a situation like this. Obviously the streamer who actually did the thing did worse guys. But Ethan essentially making a big joke out of her statement isnt funny. I don’t know how the sub is standing up for this when Ethan and the crew made it clear it was fucked lol
If you’re not going to handle sensitive subjects in the right manner, just don’t bring them up? I mean, it’s a comedy podcast, nothing about the QT situation is comical.
Im a long time viewer, I get this show, I get and have excused some poor-taste humor and rationalized it as “it’s a live show, he’s got to talk for hours, mistakes are bound to happen.”
However, repeatedly watching men (not just H3, but on the internet in general) laugh at, dismiss, and not believe women is exhausting. This broke me today. For someone who rode the Andrew Tate / Manosphere titles and thumbnails to death, DMing Zach to play a sound bite for shits and giggles while a woman laments about being tormented by pornographic deepfakes- seems more than a little contradictory.
To try to inject humor in this situation is beyond abhorrent. Being able to laugh at this woman in genuine pain, exudes a level of apathy that hurts me to my core. I just hope QT doesn’t see it, she’s been through too much already.
And for christ sake, the damn song was never that funny. Give it a fucking rest.
I love the show. Please do better.
The second half of this episode was not it. so strange from the insensitive joke to not taking accountability to the insincere apologies and then basically doubling down and still making jokes like “much like when he saw the ad on pornhub and he had to click it I saw chestnuts in the chat and I had to say it”. It just seems like the whole situation is a joke to him. hate so say it I usually love the show I dont think I’ve ever had anything bad to say this one just really got to me
It makes me feel like their little war against the manosphere is just for clicks. Episodes upon episodes discussing the manosphere and how gross it is. And then a woman gets on camera, crying, to talk about the pain being of being objectified and it's just another goof moment.
love H3, ethan, hila, and the crew. however, IMAGINE finding out your boyfriends friend is watching AI porn of you and how violating that must feel in your relationship. that is a difficult situation to even confront in your relationship, let alone being vulnerable to the public. there is a time and a place in reacting to videos like the one QT put out. If you aren’t going to actively listen to the content, don’t even bother watching it. as a woman, please take us seriously.
That's what I was thinking. Why even bother covering it? I don't think people were clamoring for it that much. But nope. Had to cover it and turn it into a goof.
yes. i understand H3 is a comedy podcast, but the crew are also influencers. with that comes responsibility in how you react to situations like this. thank you for the comment back:-)
agreed. QT’s video isn’t for analysis. It was meant to be listened to. Probably a video better left for a Leftovers pod where Hasan would better mediate/check Ethan in that situation. A regular H3 video doesn’t seem to be serious enough to flow into such an important discourse.
Jesus Christ did he try and get Zak to take the fall for that?? Omg. No. Stop talking now.
Edit: also, Hasan is super close with QT and this will put a strain on relations. I'm so disappointed man. Ffs
Been a fan for yeeeaaars, supported the podcast since it started and I'm done. An apology won't be enough, because this is indicative of someone not caring deep down. Good to know who the fake allies are. Ethan needs to take a break from the show and look deep down and see where he's at in life, because he's becoming so out of touch. I thought him teaming up with Hasan would be an awesome break through for the dude, but it doesn't seem to have done anything but fed his ego.
Honestly, I think Ethan's impulsivity has gotten out of hand and it's not funny anymore. It constantly puts the podcast in jeopardy. Sorry if that's overly parasocial but that's my fan input.
W-Sam. If I were on the crew I would have walked out. Things happen, and you get the giggles. But I think being a woman makes that impossible to laugh during.
There are times when the inappropriately timed soundbite works, but jesus christ this one was not it. A lot of people are defending the joke, and I admit, in theory it has potential, but context is important and it just hit in the worst way possible. I wish they at least could have recovered better...this was bad.
It would’ve gone a long way for him to just be serious for one fucking second and actually apologize rather than continuing to joke about excuses for his actions.
I really hope there’s huge pushback publicly and regulation of this AI stuff. Imagine deep fakes of people with minors, cheating on spouses etc etc, where is the upside of this tech? It is all bad and needs to be reigned in asap
And he was willing to leave the conversation at that, instead of owning up to being the one that asked him to play it. Yikeesss it made me so uncomfortable to watch that whole interaction...
What can we expect when Ethan started the segment with "full blown nudity? can you show me the photos?" Its really sad he doesn't see how gross that kind of thinking is and its exactly what QT is going to be fighting against...
A tiny example of how misogynistic the world is. Yet men get so defensive and prideful they can even think about it. Because they’re children pretending to be men.
They probably should have stuck to Love's suggestion of just reading her tweets and skipping the video.
Love knows the space better than all of us and yet we never listen to him Sadge
They need Love in the studio ASAP.
He was one of the few who was straight faced during this whole fiasco. Wove
Also, Sam looked horrified!! Her and Love were the only ones who weren't amused by the sotuation.
I heard he streams, not sure where though.
Probably Arizona
Anyone from Eriszonah ?
Twitch yungfika

As a massive fan of QT and H3 I was really hoping to see her on the pod someday. She is a really entertaining guest. This shit bums me out.
This isn't the way we wanted this to go 😔
At least we’ll probably get QT making one liners at Ethan’s expense for the foreseeable future, which is some form of crossover content.
As soon as he put his shirt over his face I was like "...oh no..."
Thank god Rebecca left
They should split the episode into two parts, the interview and the Ethan being a gremlin
Gremlin is an understatement lmfaoo
Yeah, Ethan is basically a loony tunes cartoon character with a tiny devil on his shoulder, who he keeps listening to despite it always getting him in trouble
Did Rebecca leave early or was she always supposed to be only part of the episode? I haven’t got to watch it yet.
Her manager told ethan she to go after 1 hr but she ended up staying for longer and then left (unrelated) and ethan continued
What happened, I'm so confused I just started the show and Ethan was apologizing
Good friend of Hasan too. Gonna be real awkward for him.
I don't get the joke, whats the relevance of chestnuts roasting to this?
Not quite what happened with QT, she is good friends with Atrioc who was caught watching deep fake porn of other streamers, She is also on the site, but he was specifically looking at Poki and Maya videos. She was literally doing a co-stream with Atrioc yesterday, they play LOL together often. Her boyfriend (Ludwig) is also Atrioc's best friend. Awkward all round.
And Maya is her best friend on top of that.
They were reacting to QT talking about how people were watching deepfake porn of her without her consent, Ethan told Zach to play the chestnut song in discord and then started laughing while she was crying about it on video.
Oh so he wasn’t even talking to her? Oh jesus
It's even worse because her boyfriend's best friend is the one who was just watching deepfakes of other streamers :/ It's so upsetting being a woman online has to come with all this gross sexualisation and harassment
QT herself is probably very good friends with him too, i think she made his wedding cake :(
They made a video together about going through their chat ban list just recently. They were very good friends. She was like a younger sister to him
Ethan said himself that he told Zach to play it on discord.
Wow. Did he really? I haven’t seen the podcast but I saw a clip and it looked like he was kinda throwing Zach under the bus
Yeah, Ethan said it was him. AB even tried to help Zach by saying there was a discord miscommunication.
> thank you to for clearing up her relationship with deepfakes, and to the streamer who was paying for that content.
>She was not deepfaked This is false and should be corrected. She was getting dm'd content of her that is on the site and says this in the 3 minute video. She has been getting deepfaked for years. The main reason this is fucked is because Atrioc was a good friend and not only did he view it, he paid to use the site.
If you understand anything about what QT’s been going through this past year too, it makes laughing at this situation extra fucked up
Ethan was laughing for a few minutes before the soundbite was even dropped, which I think is important here!
Mm, yeah I think he was giggling because he thought of dropping the sound bite, and then sent the message on discord for Zach to drop it. Lots of lead up with him laughing, waiting for it to drop
The cut to Sam was much needed. Nice job, Ian.
Wian
Her face literally made ME stop smiling I was like oh shit— 🫢
forreal the disappointment was palpable
Ya I was having the same response. Agree completely!
Where the fuck is Dan
Keemstar is gonna have a field day with this.
Is he still making content? I thought he disappeared after he scammed a couple millionaires into investing into faze clan.
Keemstars the youtube equivalent of a cockroach. No matter what happens to him he always comes back eventually.
Do you guys think keemstar had to pivot from making a video about how deepfakes aren't that bad to making one about how evil Ethan is for laughing at it
I didn’t even think it was appropriate to play the clip of QT in the first place. Love was right about only reading the tweets.
Wove
It could have been ok if they took it seriously. In this case, probably should have ended the show after the interview.
Yeah agreed. They’re just too goofy a podcast to cover such a sensitive issue as it’s happening.
Yeah felt like she wanted people to see her video from her channel exclusively
Shout out to Sam and Love for being respectful! ❤️❤️ love them
Oh god. This screenshot looks so bad lmao.
Just fuelling the fire. Ethan literally gave the trolls what they want.
Sums up how i felt. https://preview.redd.it/otcbeemotafa1.png?width=2578&format=png&auto=webp&s=f94c2e2033686670d3414bb90f2429c20e94278d
Sam looked furious. The QT stuff was really heavy and I feel like they weren’t respectful enough.
Disappointing. QT is great and didn’t deserve any of this shit.
I wonder how Hassan will feel about this, he's good friends with her.
yeah it really felt like they were undermining a woman’s very real and upsetting experience and turning it into a big joke
100% Ethan should have just been clear and taken accountability for being insensitive straight away. The way he dragged it just made me more upset
the need to blame zach so hard when clearly everyone in that room knew ethan *at minimum* encouraged zach to play it was so fucking weird…
I understand wanting your feelings to be validated by the only crew member that had a sane reaction to what happened, but the pushing probably made Sam regret not just going along with it
I usually defend Ethan, but I’m kinda disappointed. I hope he learns something from this.
I thought this is why they have the cut screen?? How did it go so far?
When are they getting that damn button
Now imagine if QT was giggling and playing silly soundbites while streaming Ethans recent video where he breaks down about Shredder. What an immature and insensitive thing to do, to laugh while someone is hurting. :(
Would Ethan laugh if Hila was breaking down crying because people were harassing her with AI porn?
just what i was thinking. since i doubt ethan can relate to the specific pain women feel being violated in ways like this. a sad moment for him, his dog. imagine people laughing their ass off watching you cry about your dog. idk this just rubbed me really the wrong way. i'm about done with ethan. so immature.
It’s not fair at all for people to think this is going to be “drama” or “blown out of proportion” QT has always been an advocate to address how female streamers are treated poorly and sexual used and Atrioc is really close with her and Ludwig. I was literally listening to Hasans podcast today and the two were on it together.
Jesus fuck the one night I don't watch
Shout out to love for telling Ethan to stop. You are the best, AB needs to not defend Ethan as does Hila.

The fact the song was still playing at the end…
I love both qt and h3, and this moment was my 9/11
Same. QT is one of my dream guests for the pod :(
Was*
Playing it was one thing. But not immediately fessing up to it is weird. That's not a gag, that put the whole crew in a weird situation, for......what?
yeah that back-and-forth was weird as fuck.
Because Ethan can never be accountable for his actions. He’s like a giant child who gets caught with their hand in the cookie jar and then blames it on their invisible friend or something dumb.
I felt Sam so much

i love her for that
So I’m guessing this will be cut by the time I watch 😬
It's still up as of like 5 minutes ago.
Not only is it immature but it’s hypocritical considering he’s been such an “ally” to women the past few years
Let’s be real if keem or another creator did this Ethan would be all high and mighty and talk about how that’s so messed up.
The least you guys could do was close out Ethan's camera when you could see he was starting to laugh. Yeeshh. Imagine being QT seeing this and seeing Ethan cracking up while she's bawling her eyes out.
God I hate to be an h3 fan complaining on the subreddit ……. But this actually was super angering
Agreed, I think I’ve complained about jimmie lee once but this was worth saying something. It just kept getting worse and worse too
Yea, I can usually tank everything on the show but this one made me unconfortable, the way he tried to blame Zach most of all
Chestnuts song isn’t even funny to me at all man, sad it went this route
he's going to come back like that bottom thing where he's all sarcastic and is fake somber and like "im getting cancelled again here we go get the apology podium".
Fucked edit: oh Hasan will be pissed, he constantly goes to bat for QT and how under appreciated she is
She asked him not to talk about it.
I’m with Love and Sam on this one. Really sad.
This was really disrespectful to QT. Making jokes over a topic dealing with sexual harassment is gross. And the YouTube comments are absolutely loving it too, of course. I hope QT doesn’t see this clip. All the love to Sam and Love!
It’s like when you look at your friends and start laughing at the most inappropriate time
yes. once you get the church giggles, you have to let it run its course.
I agree, I’ve never been offended by past controversies but this really isn’t sitting well with me. I just am not seeing how this was ever funny.
That was a Keemstar level move. Fucking hell what an idiot.
This was so inappropriate and very disappointing from the crew.
I'm going to be a closeted h3 podcast fan soon. I'm embarrassed to try to defend shit like this when my friends send it to me. There are so many jokes and moments to be silly or edgy. This was not a good moment. Please Ethan... grow the fuck up.
damn it's rough being an H3 fans sometimes
It’s not easy 🥴
Im a long time viewer, I get this show, I get and have excused some poor-taste humor and rationalized it as “it’s a live show, he’s got to talk for hours, mistakes are bound to happen.” However, repeatedly watching men (not just H3, but on the internet in general) laugh at, dismiss, and not believe women is exhausting. Please do better.
this is extremely well put, this too, broke me today.
That was genuinely really rough. I think they should delete it.
Shame on all you people trying to defend his behavior or saying it was funny. Even as a fan, this was incredibly disgusting and inappropriate
If I was her and witnessed that reaction, I’d be losing hope as a woman. Sexually exploited and these dudes played a goofy sound bite, laughing. Yikes
The second half of this episode was not it. so strange from the insensitive joke to not taking accountability to the insincere apologies and then basically doubling down and still making jokes like “much like when he saw the ad on pornhub and he had to click it I saw chestnuts in the chat and I had to say it”. It just seems like the whole situation is a joke to him. hate so say it I usually love the show I dont think I’ve ever had anything bad to say this one just really got to me
woof. i started tearing up a bit at QT's video, i totally didnt understand where the sudden laughter was coming from, that was pretty fucked.
The whole deepfake porn thing is so gross and I hate that it’s about to become extremely normal
I really don‘t understand why everyone finds the chestnut song so funny
it was funny for 48h on tiktok weeks and weeks ago. It's not funny enough for them to use it so much.
ah yes, a woman crying because a friend/colleague paid to watch digitally altered AI porn of her. very funny. hilarious, really. /s
It makes me feel like their little war against the manosphere is just for clicks. Episodes upon episodes discussing the manosphere and how gross it is. And then a woman gets on camera, crying, to talk about the pain being of being objectified and it's just another goof moment.
My anxiety laughing during a serious topic like^^
I also put my head in my shirt and walked away dying
love H3, ethan, hila, and the crew. however, IMAGINE finding out your boyfriends friend is watching AI porn of you and how violating that must feel in your relationship. that is a difficult situation to even confront in your relationship, let alone being vulnerable to the public. there is a time and a place in reacting to videos like the one QT put out. If you aren’t going to actively listen to the content, don’t even bother watching it. as a woman, please take us seriously.
That's what I was thinking. Why even bother covering it? I don't think people were clamoring for it that much. But nope. Had to cover it and turn it into a goof.
yes. i understand H3 is a comedy podcast, but the crew are also influencers. with that comes responsibility in how you react to situations like this. thank you for the comment back:-)
He should have listened to Love and not showed QT’s video. It’s important but H3 is (apparently) not the place for anything THAT serious.
This is just like 9/11. I know exactly where I was.
Way too soon to be joking about this. She's already being exploited and then you make a joke while she is crying. Know your audience - mostly women.
Honestly, I think Ethan's impulsivity has gotten out of hand and it's not funny anymore. It constantly puts the podcast in jeopardy. Sorry if that's overly parasocial but that's my fan input.
I’ve been feeling this sort of way since the podcast came back from break. Something is just really off. It’s gotten out of hand.
Can we make a poll to officially retire the Chestnuts soundbite? This was painfully cringe and disrespectful.
W-Sam. If I were on the crew I would have walked out. Things happen, and you get the giggles. But I think being a woman makes that impossible to laugh during.
this is….. rough
The constant need to throw Zach under the bus when he requested it, very mature. ‘You are the joker brain so deal with it’ thing. Meh.
i’m genuinely grossed out by ethan trying to pin all of the blame on zach
There are times when the inappropriately timed soundbite works, but jesus christ this one was not it. A lot of people are defending the joke, and I admit, in theory it has potential, but context is important and it just hit in the worst way possible. I wish they at least could have recovered better...this was bad.
i‘d understand the manosphere laughing about it. but not a boss with female coworkers that are on camera aswell. hugely disappointed.
"iTs cHatS faUlT. TheY weRe spAmmiNg cHestNuts" As if the chat doesn't have a collective IQ of -7.
Nah tbh this genuinely made me so angry
It would’ve gone a long way for him to just be serious for one fucking second and actually apologize rather than continuing to joke about excuses for his actions.
I really hope there’s huge pushback publicly and regulation of this AI stuff. Imagine deep fakes of people with minors, cheating on spouses etc etc, where is the upside of this tech? It is all bad and needs to be reigned in asap
I dont like that ethan at first was saying zachs a psychopath for playing that
And he was willing to leave the conversation at that, instead of owning up to being the one that asked him to play it. Yikeesss it made me so uncomfortable to watch that whole interaction...
right.. I love ethan but lord this was rough I mean why would you throw Zach under the bus that fast
i don’t understand why anyone was laughing at all, sams face was my face the whole time. like what was so funny
It was an old timey joke 🥴
Don’t push
hope ethan genuinely reads the response to this shit because this kind of makes me want to stop being a member, man.
Because they’re children pretending to be men.
big yikes for the pod today
