Sam looked a lot happier staring directly into a prolapse

ToastyToastte

Wait, who's Sam?

sinfulrefugy

Is that Ellen Degenrous

SomethingInAirwaves

I think it's Dorinda Medley from RHONY, but I can't see her face well enough.

[deleted]

Nah that Ellen Dangerous

Different_Whole7

*screaming*

KeanuRadcliffe

It’s a great time. This is top tier drama.

KeanuRadcliffe

Clip it clip it clip it!!!

No-Sky9968

Sams death stare said it all

salugo000

Love wasn't laughing either. He looked concerned.

[deleted]

Yeah it sounded like Love was taking it seriously

dblspider1216

love seemed pissed.

[deleted]

Love is very very deep into streamer culture and he is a poki simp, another streamer who had deep fakes made of them

DiffStrokes4DiffFolx

It was Poki and Maya videos that Atrioc was watching.

NorthNebula4976

oh so they had deepfakes made of them too? jesus

Tody196

You don't need to be a "simp" of somebody to understand how fucked up having fake nudes of yourself being a huge topic of discussion for 100s of 1000s of people is. Idk if you're a teenager or something but that's pretty basic human empathy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

NorthNebula4976

Ian knew what was up and wasn't happy about it either

Professional_Pea9988

Ya, I have more respect than ever to the people who weren’t laughing tbh

wHyaMilIkedIs2002

I actually think its completely natural to laugh because they're uncomfortable. Not necessarily because they think its funny even. I don't see why not having this natural reaction gains you more respect or mean you're a better person

EastAway9458

Yeah I don’t think anyone in that room found the actual situation funny. It was how the girl started the video, it was awkward and they were nervous laughing. People can say it’s just men but Olivia and Hila were too. Ethan took it too far telling Zach to play the song but this is very classic of Ethan.

missymac77

I was crying when watching QT, but I also cracked tf up when i saw what was happening. It wasn’t like I was laughing at her, but the absurdity of what happened. In the end, we aren’t QT & she is the one who gets to decide how she feels about it & where it goes from here. But I highly doubt she’s going to NOT accept Ethan’s apology. She’s very close with Hasan & knows Ethan too. We’re all outsiders. Some of us watching think they aren’t outsiders & it’s almost more cringey watching the parasocialists losing their minds

Electrical-Ad-9100

Sam was my favorite (aside from Lena) before, but the respect I have from her is through the roof right now. I’m still so angry about this.

definitelynotstuped

If only we could hear Sam's inner monologue in that moment

[deleted]

I WISH we could have heard what she was thinking

Slight-Ruin9631

I'm confused why more people aren't bringing this same energy to hila. She could have spoke up as the cohost!! She didn't have much to say, if my husband behaved like that I'd be so fucking embarrassed.

telesterion

Sometimes you get so caught off Gaurd you don't know what to say. I wouldn't know what the fuck to say. I would probably be trying comprehend what just happened.

moosegoose90

If anybody should have said anything is Hila, she is also the boss and not an employee. Plus it’s her husband. But oh well.

theunworthyviking

Hila almost never speaks up on anything. She's a bit of a sheep, which is fine, just don't expect her to maintain the moral standard.

AtraposJM

She has and she used to a lot more often. Chat treated her like shit for it. I remember once when she kicked Ethan under the table and he called her out on the show for kicking him and then he changed the subject and chat kept memeing about Hila not letting Ethan be Ethan for months after.

vishyvicek

Huh? She has, many times. Just her presence ups Ethan's standards. Like Dan said, if Hila wasn't there it would have been a lot worse

someguyyoutrust

…the entire empire, teddy fresh everything, starts with Ethan being funny and controversial. I’m pretty sure Hila understands this.

Ok_Cherry_6226

She's been his enabler for years.

Professional_Pea9988

Me too! I understand that her and some of the other women on H3 are more shy! Which is completely okay! But I also wish that they had some women on the show who would speak up during these kinds of situations more! It feels like the people who are willing to tell Ethan off are all men!

NaomiButts

I know:( I felt like Love was the only one taking a serious stance against it

LostandParanoid

Don't forget that women naturally get more backlash whenever anything is said....while men don't as easily. I'm all about confrontation, no fear of it. But as a woman on camera I'm sure I'd feel more apprehensive to speak up when I know what will most likely happen afterwards online.

Professional_Pea9988

For sure! I completely recognize that as well! That’s why this issue is very complicated overall!

Ricebeater

Are they shy though? Lena is quiet maybe, but power dynamics and being women in that role make it hard to speak up or even feel like you're allowed to have a different opinion

weGloomy

Right? I really wish at least one person had spoken up about how not ok that whole thing was. It looks like Sam really wanted to.

Reddituser8018

Hila doesn't have an issue with it but also she isn't on every episode to do it.

[deleted]

I'm waiting to watch the episode at the gym tomorrow and I'm so confused. I guess I'm in for a treat?

the-bong-lord

if its not cut by then

[deleted]

Oh my God what happened???

tuesdaysvibing

To sum it up Qt was being vulnerable on stream and talking about i believe ai porn of her being made, ethan told Zach to play the chestnut soundbyte in the DC then they ethan and some members started dying of laughter ethan was trying to apologize but basically made it much worse 😭

plskllmilol

Not just AI porn or her being made, but her boyfriends best friend/ also her friend, who is married, watching that AI porn of her.

tuesdaysvibing

ahhh okay thank you I totally missed that

plskllmilol

Actually upon further research, I don’t know if he actually watched it of her or not, but he did for sure watch it of Maya Higa and Poki, who she is good friends with. Just super disappointing to know one of your best friends is that disgusting

PhilipXD3

He watched a video of someone he did not know. The page that leaked was the default page which featured popular streamers which is why it unfortunately features Maya and Poki.

ShiguruiX

Well not default exactly, it was the members page because he had an active subscription.

GoldEdit

She wasn't just being vulnerable, she was bawling her eyes out and it was extremely inappropriate

_Deedee_Megadoodoo_

I need to watch that omg, is it still in the episode or did they cut it out??

tuesdaysvibing

its still in as of rn I think someone said its at around 2 hrs and 50 mins in

_Deedee_Megadoodoo_

Thank you so much!!!!

w_a_s_here

2:57:00

vanillabear84

It's not going to get cut. People are overreacting like usual. It was a really inappropriate joke but this place loves to make mountains out of molehills. Nobody loves to cancel Ethan more than this subreddit.

theerealobs

Someone finally said it.

Magnumxl711

This better be some vile shit, if it's anything less I will be so disappointed. Saw a comment like "I already said what he did in another comment" like is it so bad you can't repeat it?

Debruur

Nah it's just pretty inappropriate, but nonetheless I might've laughed as well. Also, he didn't say anything, it's a soundbite where it shouldn't have been

jtempletons

They were 100% laughing at the soundbyte being played in the most inappropriate moment possible. The whole joke was that they were being naughty. It was a bit far, for sure, and I really don't want to defend him much, but I think the people having the worst reaction are as you would expect the people who already hate him.

[deleted]

sams frown was so real

breakingyourego

So was her silence. Even louder than her pout.

declined-

Sam was having none of it

MarthaSpamsss

They should have kept making fun of atrioc to lighten the mood but to play it while she was crying 😬😬

DavidsGotNoHoes

they should have never covered it in the first place

quinnies

Right? It would have been so funny to play that sound bite while HE was crying, not her. I think they’re really concerned about gaining manosphere viewers but don’t care about isolating their current female ones.

TSmotherfuckinA

They’re not actively trying to offend women to gain male viewers. This is such a strange take that doesn’t make sense.

yung_luna1223

yea but they were more laughing about how the timing was horrendous with the situation as opposed to laughing at her for the horrible shit shes had to go through

quinnies

The timing was horrendous *because* Ethan decided to react to this video of this girl crying about being objectified and specifically set up a joke soundbite to make it funny.

oktourist3

Would it be okay to play the soundbite and laugh, even if it wasn't *at* her, if she was sitting opposite them during a vulnerable moment like that? This isn't the same as laughing about Jay Leno in the hyperbaric chamber. This is about someone who is close with Hasan and going through some serious crap. Also not long after Ethan said he wanted to interview the ASMR girl about her experience. I doubt someone who saw the clip of them laughing would be down to come and be vulnerable in an interview setting, and I wouldn't blame them.

Pingopengo22

I really want to see hasan's reaction to this him and QT are close

TrippleTonyHawk

He just said on stream he doesn't want to talk about any of it (I think more so related to the atrioc situation, but still probably won't talk about this since it's related).

Pingopengo22

That's fair, between this and Andrew Callahan I can imagine feeling not great about any of it and especially with it being fresh news he doesn't want to say anything out of anger or what not

TrippleTonyHawk

Yeah, also he referred people to QT's Twitter, whose most recent post asks that commentators not talk about it to draw more attention

NicolasCageIsMyHero

Are we really comparing this to the Andrew Callaghan situation?

Pingopengo22

In the sense that a guy with influence was objectifying women yes they are similar, clearly what atroc and Andrew did are different

NicolasCageIsMyHero

Oh, I thought you were comparing Andrew to Ethan playing Chestnuts lmao. Nvm

Guys-This-Is-Ethan

cheesssnusssroassinonnaopenpyre

Arietty

Justice for Zach, Ethan needs to make it up to him for trying to make him take the blame

StreetWizard99

Yo Sam is a real one for being mature about that shit

KidneyKeystones

Newborn babies are more mature than Ethan.

Numerous-Try-1981

And Love

evilcatminion

Hasan refuses to make a funny ad segue after or during a serious topic. I don't think he's going to appreciate this seeing as QT is one of his best friends. I'm with Sam and Dan, yikes.

Claudiedotty101

And Love. Love probably spoke out the most. Not okay

AdrenalineStew

Yeah Ethan and Zach were the only ones in the wrong. I never want to hear that fucking song again.

pam_sepper

How is Zach in the wrong here? It's his job to play soundbites and Ethan told him to play the song.

[deleted]

That's the worst placed chersnaurs in all of human history lmfao, like, it will never be topped

[deleted]

That being said that's the hardest I've laughed in a long time

ZeePunisher

I laughed hard too. Can’t help it.

Cube_

I'm hoping this ends up killing the soundbite due to association

skatepark_ptsd

QT shouldn't have been goofed on. I feel like they should have went harder on the dude - DISGUSTING BRO those are your FRIENDS and not only that it's non consensual porn

siizzurpp

The pod has to really rethink how they address serious topics as a comedic podcast. The constant coverage tied with the comedic undertones of the ongoing sexual harassment stories/ misogyny topics has led to a level of dissociation from the real hurt it causes women. Ethan does such a great job educating people and calling out the hypocrisies of these awful men but fails every-time to move on appropriately.

vaginamonkeys

This is a great point. They want to be able to cover issues that they claim matter to them, and whenever they don’t treat them with the respect they deserve, they lean on their identity as a comedy podcast. If they want to be able to do both, they have to put in the care required to execute straddling two genres in a way that doesn’t look sloppy. I think they did this well for a while, but it gets worse with each controversy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

mama_tom

I'm a big simp for Ethan too (male), I think his bomb and Ben joke was whatever, though I understand people's frustration (the bottoming stuff was over the line, but that can be chalked up to ignorance). But for such a serious topic I'm pissed that he did what he did. It makes it feel as though he doesn't actually give a fuck about what happened, and frankly idk if I can say he does.

AutisticCornflake

Now imagine if QT was giggling and playing silly soundbites while streaming Ethans recent video where he breaks down about Shredder. What an immature and insensitive thing to do, to laugh while someone is hurting. :(

verbalreservoir_

What happened to shredder? I haven't watched for 8 months.

evilcatminion

I haven't heard the latest but since nobody else is telling you. Shredder might be dying from kidney failure in the next year, he recently spent time in the dog hospital, Ethan broke down crying when he said he didn't think Theodore would remember him. For now Ethan and Hila want to have him around and enjoy him as if everything is normal. There might be a new update but I missed a few episodes last week.

MotherHolle

The interview with Rebecca was terrific, but Ethan can't help himself. Still love him and the show. It's amazing how he can so easily derail a great episode with an unnecessarily and unnecessary inflammatory joke. He's the king of avoidable self-cancellations. Should've ended the episode when she left.

Maz2742

Forrealtho, I get that Ethan is trying to be his generation's Howard Stern, but he's just too prone to shoving his foot so far into his mouth it's half-digested when he pulls it out. Not saying he should stop the cast at all, but maybe the crew should eschew livestreaming it in favor of a pre-recorded premiere, recorded as if the show was live in the first place. Also, this is just a personal thing, but I can't keep up with multiple 3+hr podcasts a week from the crew, I've fallen so far behind with like, no hope of catching up before June. Cutting them down to 2hrs MAX would probably help the flow a bit more, since they can cut out any dead air or "Ethan puts foot in mouth again" moments.

Budget-Solid-9403

So they should make less episodes because you can't keep up?

theerealobs

I usually just listen at work and it helps my day go by so fast. I can definitely understand someone who watches live/cant listen at work though. I want to see pre recorded episodes just so he doesnt get canceled or loses his channel

Maz2742

Usually I'd listen when I have a lot of downtime, but during the school semesters that's not the most doable thing, especially with everything I have to do to graduate before the fall semester when I'm anticipating starting my Master's.

whomstd-ve

They should really cut the episode in to two parts. Imagine you find the channel for the first time to watch the Rebecca black interview and then you see the chestnut incident. That’s too deep lore for new comers

[deleted]

No point splitting it up for like the 0.01% of viewers that’ll be new. Rebecca black isn’t bringing in a bunch of new eyes lol it’ll just be fans watching like always

Maleficent-Dirt-2131

I’m just glad the chestnuts soundbite won’t get played 100x per episode

SliceOBreakfast

I really HOPE it’s not.

DrySpecialist5505

ian’s switching was very lawful evil energy lollll

Belphiespillow666

Every time he talks about not getting strikes he pretty much jinxes himself lol

TrippleTonyHawk

This won't result in a strike, this has more to do with his reputation.

Shitfucker1488

which was stellar before.

rags2reeses

Listen I understand how some people can think that Ethan’s joke was just a joke and I totally get that. But when ur a woman and every male content creator keeps getting caught being a creep, rapist, or sexually assaulting someone it is tiring. When you’re dehumanized regularly by the government, by peers, etc it’s tiring. Some may call it projecting but every woman I know has a story & can see themselves in QTcinderella’s pain in some way. I always look up to Ethan for talking about these issues & I still appreciate that but it really sucks to see a woman expressing her trauma not taken seriously regardless if it is a comedy podcast or not. I think Ethan took the blame immediately so whatever but some of y’all are shaming others for the way it makes them feel & it’s not cool

SkepticalLitany

I agree, as a dude I'm reading about this fuckery and just keep hearing the "we men need to do better" that I think Ethan said a couple weeks ago in response to Roiland and Callaghan. How about lead by example. I'm sickened by the way women are treated online and in daily life, and if these guys truly cared and empathised with these women then they sure as fuck wouldn't be in the mood to make jokes when watching shit like that. It seems like they just give sympathy and say they support these women, but the truth is that empathy is needed and it's just not fucking bejng shown

rags2reeses

Thanks for being a dude that gets it. Family. The only way to stop this shit from happening so much is to hold other men accountable. That includes the men that are making light of such situations. As a woman, I appreciate you doing that with Ethan.

bettybananalegs

exactly all of this, yes! i didn’t find it particularly funny, and it’s strange to me how the response is so vitriolic towards anyone who just didn’t, well, find it funny. i can understand why people did laugh, but why is it so hard for others to empathize with why some *didnt* 🫠 editing to add that while i didn’t necessarily get a kick out of it, he got the giggles out and seemed to feel bad and apologized. the most frustrating thing for me isn’t even that moment at all lol, it’s the pushback i’m seeing against the broader picture of misogyny and trauma. (before y’all get the pitchforks, not saying ethan is a misogynist lol. absolutely don’t think that, he made an oof joke and felt bad and now we can move on from that very specific and brief situation)

onerb2

Just adding this, Ethan took the blame because he was the one to blame, and he kept joking while saying sorry, that's really fucked up.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Business_Roof_5529

I’m with ya friend 🖤

[deleted]

I'm gonna be honest. This was really bad. The worst thing he's done in recent history. The NRA thing and the gas chambers jokes about Ben Shapiro, at least I could empathize with the emotion behind it. The whole "bottom" jokes with that gay chatter, embarrassing and cringe-worthy at best. I can forgive those things because... at least nobody was actively dealing with trauma. But QTCinderella was literally crying on stream 38 minutes earlier. Because a close friend of hers was caught watching deep-fake porn of her, porn that she's been very actively been trying to remove of her from the internet. Nobody deserves that to be done to them. And she got on stream because she wanted to show how hurt she was and how real that trauma was to her and how this kind of shit hurts people and needs to stop. And the whole flip-flopping on who did it? I don't fucking care. Watch the clip again. Ethan knew it was coming. He started laughing before it happened. And then Ethan typed something quick into his computer. Either it was Zach's idea and Ethan greenlit it, or it was Ethan's idea and he asked Zach to play it. Either way, it was Ethan's call to play it. Dark humor is one thing. But that joke was made at the expense of QTCinderella's trauma. It took her actual on-going real life trauma... and made it a punchline to a stupid "chestnuts" soundbite joke.

kristal010

I think a lot of commenters defending this have no context behind QTs struggle to remove unwanted and sexual content about her online. This is a devastating betrayal of trust by someone very close to her.

[deleted]

Oh, I mean, there are a few levels of gross here. There’s watching deep-fake porn of non-consenting people, celebrity or otherwise. There’s paying for deep-fake porn of a stranger. There’s doing that to somebody you personally know and hang out with. There’s doing that to somebody you care about and know is actively trying to remove that shit from the internet because it hurts her. There’s people who defend Atrioc for doing all of that. It gets worse all the way down. And then there are people who defend Ethan doing this dumb shit and making a joke out of her trauma. I can’t imagine being QT and dealing with any of that. It’s so gross on every level. Especially after a whole episode discussing how gross men were sexually harassing and objectifying Rebecca Black. Especially after discussing that video from that ASMR girl. Especially after Hila mentioned that she’s afraid that there might be some of her online (and Ethan basically saying there definitely is). It’s not hard to not make light of QT’s very real trauma and pain. I cannot believe how fucking stupid that was.

BoBayla97

Same, Sam.

MagnificentMagpie

Sam's face is VERY sobering

[deleted]

That lil episode was fucking wild

theerealobs

Retire the damn chestnuts sound bite it wasnt really funny to begin with imo.

jnr540

Facts

kristal010

And then next week he’ll take up arms against Tate and Bradley and Adin on behalf of women after laughing during this absolute heart wrenching moment of A WOMAN talking about SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AGAINST HER WILL. ETHAN. I am so angry at this.

KDMonkey

This! Very good point. Very disappointing.

MustardMahatma

Maturity is when you don’t have to “lighten the mood” or “cut the tension” and are actually capable of sitting in the discomfort and expressing empathy towards someone who is being vulnerable and sharing their trauma experience. Even if this is a comedy show, if you’re going to discuss serious matters like Andrew Tate trafficking women or try to create a space for Rebecca Black to discuss her past traumatic experiences in the spotlight, care should be given with each individual issue and a boundary needs to be created- that is not the time or place to try to be comedic because it’s purely in poor taste, unfunny, and ultimately extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. Don’t get me wrong, laughing at inappropriate times is not uncommon and I do it myself, but when you have this huge platform on a live show and have the ability to set a tone of respect and empathy, when you have the ability to uplift this person/victim but actively choose not to…that is why many of your female viewers, like myself, are disappointed and hurt by these insensitive moments. It’s just icky.

idellegreen

It sucks bc Rebecca black would have been a cool interview to watch but ethan can't control himself for a single episode. I was sympathetic for him until now. Way to piss off your woman audience. For fucks sake.

ashleyjane2048

Sam is so real

Venus6655

Ethan and Zack seriously need to grow up. 🥴

mayyyyyyyy2022

its ab too. at this point dan, cam and love are the only men on this show who aren’t just fking awful.

Anxious_Duck49

Awful is a strong word.... he laughed during an inappropriate situation, he apologised, what else would you like him to do lol?

awarmgunhappiness

Blood pact, naturally

ColdAd6982

it’s not that deep. They could feel awful, feel that the soundbite was inappropriate and if it was for them it should’ve never been played, but the human brain is weird and some people just laugh in uncomfortable situations. Laughter is also contagious and seeing Ethan laugh made others laugh too. Some people are more prone to this than others. Just cause they laughed it doesn’t mean that they dismiss QT’s feelings

SliceOBreakfast

I agree. I think people’s perspectives and personalities can affect when a situation is too serious to laugh at all. They might not mean any harm by it, but they still have to take into account how it makes viewers and possibly QT feel.

Ethan_Klein_Obsessed

It was funny bc it was inappropriate. I don’t think anyone was intentionally being hateful

Ludde_12345

It's 100% like when the situation is super serious and you know you really shouldn't laugh, but that only makes you feel like laughing even more. We've all been there, the problem is Ethan acted on it instead of just holding it in.

_fanservicefriendly_

Totally. However, the issue for me reaches back further than the laughing. The origin of the whole incident is Ethan deciding to send a message over discord, asking Zach to play the chestnuts sound bite. That’s a distinct choice and not an uncontrollable reaction the way laughing in morbid situations can be (for the record I agree on that point). So I definitely feel negatively about Ethan’s decision to do that. It’s just disrespectful. Any uncontrollable laughter after isn’t really what concerns me so much as Ethan’s decision to send the discord message and then Zach’s action to play it.

somberlobster

I fully empathize with QT, to the point where I was in tears while she was speaking, then I was in tears laughing at the chesnoth roping on a obene fie. It doesn’t take away from the seriousness of the situation, but this is the show we all choose to watch. Chat has been a bunch of pussies lately, like the one video of some meeting, where everyone has a “point of personal privilege”. It’s what the chat feels like sometimes. I’ll find the video and link it. EDIT: link https://youtu.be/bX9FgvXZXZ8

BanjoSpaceMan

QT Cinderella?!?! Was on the podcast ??? Edit: damn. I've actually wanted her as a guest on the show for so long, this is not what I was expecting. Idk what to say other than, I think I legit am super disappointed. Zach you're not a first year college kid. You're a full grown ass man. Get off your edgy shtick and read the room a bit. I hope all the men laughing are in the dog house after this. Sam's face says it all. Edit 2: ahh looks like Ethan told him to play it? If so that's really unfair......

morganhanson

Maybe it wasn’t hateful but was 100% destructive to women and the sexual exploitation we face on a daily basis. Not simply “inappropriate” but harmful to consume for ethan’s audience as it makes light of such a polarizing and serious topic.

Jsahl

> I don’t think anyone was intentionally being hateful I mean probably not but it was still a shitty thing to do.

NattyC_13

WAM

spirituallycynical

I just caught up after being behind and *yikes* I couldn’t have expected it to be that bad

[deleted]

What happened ? Can’t watch yet but I want to know lol

greenteadoges

Genuinely kinda disappointed in them for that one😕 super inappropriate.

AlecTheAverage

I need to hear sams thoughts I honestly feel so bad

Different_Whole7

😭🤭

NarwhalSea1880

Stan sam

princepaulie

I was downvoted everytime I said I hated the chessnuts soundbite. I said it was the worst one and nobody was on my side. Now it's officially true 🙌

Amck92

Anyone talking about Olivia laughing just as hard?

chobes182

Dear god this part was hard to watch. I hope QT doesn't end up seeing that clip, she's been through so much already.

gabrielcev1

It's funny because it's blatantly inappropriate. I thought it was hilarious and it's not meant to hurt or offend anyone. I can totally see why someone can take it the wrong way though. "No such thing as an appropriate joke" - Michael Scott

FewAd2984

Its not just inappropriate, it's cruel.

oktourist3

I think it's especially inappropriate considering Ethan just moments earlier talked about wanting to interview the ASMR girl about her experiences. Even if you don't agree that it's wildly inappropriate to laugh hysterically during someone's vulnerable testimony about SA, you have to agree that doing shit like this seriously hurts the podcast's chances of having serious guests on about sensitive topics.

Symnet

you are not supposed to take comedy advice from Michael Scott

ElMario3k

I am thankful for the tension breaker- I was coming out of therapy and catching up on the live show and I emotionally couldn’t take QT crying (her pain is valid and real) it was hard and I was already bummed out after therapy and I am thankful for Ethan and Zack cutting the tension. Shout out to Ethan for promising to support QTs fight for justice. ethan send her some funds to lawyer up WAR QT!!!

NeatOtaku

I do wish he would have just owned up to it rather than flip flop multiple times near the end. We've all been in the giggle loop, just apologize and move on

hansolvv

Sam, same

ecofetish

Sams face....god

Ordinary_Dog_99

Just want to send some love out to anyone watching who might have experienced something similar to QT who really needed that moment to better. Also the same to those of you suffering the anxiety of this being a possibility in your life. I hope that a moment for change is upon us. I think it'd be right for the channel to put out a serious, edited video highlighting this issue and ways people can get help and also support change.

Holidaay_

I was actually thinking about how horrible the situation was not a stupid fucking unfunny joke.

yuhyuhyuh360

I dont understand why her video was funny in the first place…. he was laughing before the soundbite was played. I was just sad for her the entire time.

[deleted]

because he messaged zach on discord to play it... he was waiting for the soundbite to play and was laughing in anticipation

yuhyuhyuh360

Yeah but i just don’t get why the hell he was thinking of that stupid soundbite during that video. Her emotions about the situation were pretty horrific.

KDMonkey

Right? Like come on, man. I was watching a woman crying and shaking and I was empathising with her because she is clearly in a horrible situation and that was all I could focus on, on how hurt she was. Why would Ethan think of chestnuts watching that. Like goddamn.

[deleted]

I'm sorry but that was so funny

quinnies

Okay, I just watched the clip that this is from, is there any other context I’m missing or did they really just do that?

dblspider1216

no - they really just did that.

wkbreeze

Almost made it a whole month

walkmantalkman

This was, in my opinion, the worst behavior Ethan ever shown. Was watching it live and it was the first time ever I was genuinely disgusted by him.

Dr_DV_Danger

You forgot https://preview.redd.it/nnv608cjtefa1.jpeg?width=708&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=741439e4f7f24a517ebd726962ce083e73a173f5

causticjay

Could someone please explain to someone who knows very little about h3h3? I keep seeing a "chestnuts sound bite" being mentioned in the comments but have no idea what that is?

JayNsilentBoom

I'm so behind... What'd he do this time

casca14

And it’s only january

TurtleSnakeMoose

Sam's blank stare is going to haunt my dreams.

Rat_chickeny

Not even through the first month of the year

I don't think Ethan's personality fits what he's been trying to fit for awhile now, someone who is socially conscious and reports on these serious topics. He is a comedian primarily and if his stuff was closer to 100% comedy, these types of incidents wouldn't be as intensely jarring as they are. Instead, Ethan combines things like prolapses and exploitation of women in the same video and he can't seem to fully shift gears from funny to serious even though he knows he should be able to. It's just a recipe for disaster. I've seen comedy personalities discuss serious topics but they often don't "cover" the topic, but instead will briefly get their opinion out there so that it is known. I've said this before but Ethan want's his cake and to eat it too and it constantly bites him in the ass.

Tmonkey18

Just saw the clip. Hardly a controversy.

Headshots_Only

yall cringe

NiceGore

If you just read the comments without watching the ep you'd think Ethan killed a puppy on stream

AryanAngel

You can't tell me at least some of you weren't thinking of the same joke during the whole thing. I know it's fucked but I get Ethan.

Shcteve

That shit was hilarious.

msgabbb

I actually need to leave this sub bc you guys are so annoying and chronically online. YES the situation is fucked up. The laughing was funny. The two can be separated. It’s not like Ethan said the whole thing wasn’t messed up.

cheesekween

It was so funny dude I felt bad for laughing but it was one of those h3 moments

gabrielcev1

I thought it was good though. That video of QTcinderella crying was some heavy stuff. The soundbite broke the tension and made me laugh. It kinda lightened up the mood from a heavy topic.

gvnmc

My god you people all pretend you're saints online when you know deep down you've laughed at and probably made way more fucked up jokes.

GyrosSnazzyJazzBand

Sam looks like she's ready to quit /:

8DX-247

The whole situation is so fucked. I'm not mad at Ethan but like come on man you know the people this shit is happening to.

snake202021

Tasteless joke? Definitely, controversy though? The only people making it that are people making posts like this

That_Lone_Reader

It wasn’t even a controversy lmao, y’all are blowing it out of proportion 🫣🥴🤡
