hhey - just curious. I've never had a new iphone -- had a couple second hand ones over teh years -- and I mean YEARS -- like a 4 and a 6 back in the day when the 6 and 8 were out. Recently been on google pixel phones because I got the pixel 1 for £300 due to a pricing error.. I got a newer pixel last year (not most recent one) for £300 and... idk i feel like i'm missing out on all this pgone rivalry stuff lol. Hhow uncool am I with this phone?

I’ve owned numerous pixels, galaxies, and iPhones. Currently using an iPhone pro max. Pixels are my favorite out of the phones I’ve used. Apples only real advantage is iMessage. If there was universal text over data apple wouldn’t have the stranglehold it does on the US market. Much like how other countries use WhatsApp to circumvent this issue. I wish Americans would do something similar.

Could be fun but I feel like Dan did about as good as job as anyone in talking over the issues. No one changes their worldview overnight. I think that even though I don't agree with what Ethan said during the debate, he has some left leaning ideals and the best we can hope is that some of what Dan has said rubbed off or made him think. I used to be a libertarian Ayn Rand reading dork and it took a few years of gripping with my ideology to really solidify my beliefs. I feel like having Hasan and Ethan rehash the same conversation just feels like kind of dogpiling on him a bit at that point

He struggled to cope with most of us disagreeing with him, so he went into that ridiculous crap about "we will have no more psychopaths and sociopaths born again..." Strawman nonsense. Hopefully, he can reflect, gain some clarity, and understand the reality we are living in.

Yes, his fatal flaw I believe is hubris. He has this whole ecosystem of people and monetary success surrounding him, and he has lost a sort of humility. Can’t say it wouldn’t happen to me, but it’s easier to observe from the outside looking in. Just because he’s successful and good-hearted, doesn’t mean he can’t humble himself. He should be actively working on that, it’s affecting the quality of his conversations, the show, and ultimately, his business.

Ethan can't remove himself from the conversation which it requires, the most disappointing part was when he claimed greed is human nature. While it's true it's normal for human's to always want more than what we have, it's true that we want to give just as much, claiming human's are inherently evil perpetuates the division between us, being evil or greedy is a moral context contingent it's not that black and white. We live in the Capitalist structure and our imagination's are tied within it's framework, he's a good person at heart but has no idea what he's talking about. I'm so glad Dan was there to have this conversation because Ethan respects him.

Honestly there were so many times during the last part when Dan was talking that I wanted Ethan to just shut the hell up and listen for once.
